I strongly do not recommend this company. I’m only giving it a 2 star because as of right now my unit is currently functioning. (Otherwise it’s a 1 star for me)

I have experienced multiple ongoing issues with a unit installed (under my builder’s warranty). Their technicians had to come out five separate times for just two problems—and despite repeated visits, the same issues kept recurring.

For the first problem, I had to call them on back-to-back days, miss work to accommodate their schedule, and still, it took three visits to address what should have been fixed the first time. (I did not have to pay anything for this).

Then, a second issue arose. Not even a couple months later. A technician came by and “fixed” the problem, but the unit failed again less than three hours after he left. So he didn’t fix the problem nor did he locate the problem. Another technician returned the next day, performed additional work—without ever informing me it was not covered under my builder’s warranty—and I later received a $125 bill with zero warning or explanation. $100 for their time and $25 for some kind of coolant product. With no explanation or warning.

The lack of communication from both the office and the technicians has been unacceptable. There were no clear expectations, no upfront discussions about potential charges, and no accountability.

In summary:
• 2 separate problems
• 5 technician visits
• 4 different technicians
• 0 communication about costs or warranty coverage

This company cost me extra time, extra money, and extra unnecessary frustration and still made me pay them for their incompetent work. Save yourself the hassle—go elsewhere.

Everyone that I dealt with from Daryl to Mike to Scott and the receptionist were very friendly very helpful and very knowledgeable. Mike was so patient and worked without fuss or complaint. Thank y'all for being so professional and nice!

Wow! Called first thing and they were done by 11am. Even let me know the scope and general cost of the repair. So happy with my relationship with K&V heating and air.

For several years I have been a participant in K & V 's Spring and Fall Maintenance Program and they have always kept my heating and air running smoothly. So when my upstairs AC unit stopped working, I knew exactly who to call. From the moment I reached out, their team was responsive, courteous and incredibly knowledgeable. What really stood out was their honesty and patience. They did not try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. Instead they focused on what was best for my home and budget. It is rare to find a company that combines technical expertise with genuine customer care, but K & V delivers on both fronts. They were extremely quick, respectful, and knowledgeable. They gave me multiple options, as well as their own expertise and suggestions. They also said they would get the quote to me the next day, and they did.

Called K&V on Wednesday evening about issue with heat pump and Mike was at our house at 8:00 am on Thursday. Mike was terrific and had the problem resolved in 30 minutes. Great job K&V and Mike!

Mike was very helpful and knowledgeable when explaining the benefits and features of my oil fired furnace. As a seasoned plumber I installed it myself, but was unable to do final combustion testing. Mike checked everything out and got it running just in time for cooler nights. Thanks

Furnace stopped working at my parents house on a Sunday evening when it was going to be 12° degrees that night. Called K&V and Zach showed up within an hour and found the issue. Thank you for your reliable service.

Technician Lee serviced a heat pump for me today. Courteous and professional, prompt, communicates well, very pleasant.
Repaired coolant leak and charged system

Heat pump went out in very cold weather and of course it was after hours. Called the after hrs number and was happily surprised when a human answered. A service tech was at my house within and hour. He was very nice and had my heat running in no time, but there was a problem with a part for the emergency heat. He explained it was under warranty and would take care of it. Will definitely use them again. Tech just left the house so I have not received final invoice but I believe it will be reasonable.

The best HVAC company I have ever dealt with. They saved me $10,000. to $20,000. by repairing my heat pump rather than replacing it. I have had two other companies saying I should replace the heat pump rather than repairing it. Extremely prompt at arriving for calls and extremely professional.

K & V installed a new HVAC system in December and I started hearing an unusual noise in which they responded immediately to check it out. Fortunately it was normal operation for this new unit. The technician was very informative and professional and explained in great detail what was happening and what I was hearing.

I’ve been around a few years so I’m, “old school.” I like dealing with people that take pride in their work. That, along with customer service isn’t something you find much of these days. We were planning on having our HVAC system replaced so I called around to get quotes. The others that came were vague in their comments and rushed through when they were checking our system to see what we would need. Colts was the last that came and from the start I had a good feeling. When David was checking everything he found a small gas leak at our furnace and repaired it. The others never mentioned it. Needless to say, David and his crew got the job and did a top notch installation of a new AC and furnace combo. I highly recommend Colts they’ve got my business from now on.

After 26 years of loyal service, our Trane unit died. We are thankful to Colt’s Cooling professional, friendly, knowledgeable and especially timely service to assist us with installing another Trane system that fits our home perfectly. In comparison to what we paid in 2000 for a new unit and to what they charged us for the new one, we know that they did not overcharge us at all. Please consider using this very friendly, family owned small business if/when the need arises.

These guys are always dependable and do a good job! The entire company is very easy to work with!
