Furnace repair, digital thermostat replacement, awesome customer service, very nice, very thorough

Originally had another contractor come out at first and told me I needed an expensive repair or replace my unit got a second opinion from TJ at fire and ice heating and cooling and repaired my system for a lot less than what I was originally quoted for by the first person. I highly recommend TJ, he is very professional and caring about making sure your unit is working properly

5 stars for technical knowledge and ability to do the job. Cleaned up after the job was done. Ductwork passed city inspection. Joseph seems smart and knowledgeable. 3 stars for the appearance of the work done. Some ductwork visible in the kitchen. Taped the seam in ductwork with obnoxious printed tape and failed to turn the ductwork so it wasn't an eyesore. Gloppy sloppy caulking. Failed to take appearance into account. 0 stars for failure to properly permanently close old duct exit in foundation. Note, this requirement was also discussed and included in the quote. Slapped some tape on it. 1 star for failure to get my name right even after being corrected.

Joe from Fire&Ice is my go to guy for all things HVAC. We’ve been working together for several years across my rental portfolio and his level of service is top notch. Always answers the phone, even at dinner time on weekends (which is always when HVAC systems break). He will treat the situation with urgency and go out of his way to fix or provide a temporary solution while waiting for parts.

Joseph is honest, fair and knowledgeable. I’ve had his services on 2 separate occasions— to install gas fireplace logs and to service a malfunctioned AC unit. During both visits, he was able to not only tell me but show me what was going to be done and recommended other services as needed. He arrived to my place within an hour and was reasonably priced. I am a forever customer!!

13Dec2024 - Fire and Ice to the RESCUE again for us! Our heat decided to give us the BIG F-U this morning, which was apparent by the death groan coming from the fan motor inside. Fire and Ice had their Tech out here in no time flat...VERY HAPPY about that. They had the issue diagnosed, tracked down a new motor for our unit and had us back in business within 2 hours. Now that is some KICKA$$ SERVICE! Thank you again Fire and Ice, you guys ROCK!

02Aug2024 - And FIRE turned to ICE! I know ...cliche...BUT FITTING in this case. Our A/C decided to stop blowing cold air last night. Friday night 8PM, start of the weekend, good moods immediately turn to 'This really SUCKS' in a heartbeat. I remembered the name of the single HVAC service company I had dealt with when we first moved here 6 years ago so gave them a call, not expecting an actual LIVE PERSON to pickup and guess what, an actual LIVE PERSON picked up. They were available to come out in an hour, and they did just that. We'll just call the HVAC Engineer 'DB' to maintain their anonymity so y'all don't call them directly. DB got right down to business checking inside components, yelled at me nicely for the current state of the filter (which I replaced right then with him present to witness). Headed outside and DB diagnosed the root cause quickly. They had the part needing replacement on the truck, installed it and we were back in business within 30 minutes. Wifey and the kids and the dogs were inside and VERY HAPPY that cold air was pumping again. DB performed some additional core cleaning and checked pressures, etc.. to wrap up this service call. DB put together the final bill and accepted CC as payment on the mobile, amount being 100% acceptable for the quality service I had just experienced with DB and 'Fire and Ice Heating and Cooling'. Experiencing professionalism, expertise, punctuality, reliability, personality, friendliness, and affordability seems like a RARE occurrence these days. Thank You - Thank You - Thank You!!!

Joe has been a fantastic help to us in repairing several issues going on in the HVAC of the home we just purchased. He has expertly advised us, and he and TJ have taken great care in cleaning our ductwork, installing all new ductwork, and sealing ducts that were leaking/unattached. We highly recommend Joe!

Joesph is a wonderful HVAC professional. We have had our units at both our personal home and rental property services by him. Most recently we had our duct cleaned and it was amazing! It's great working with a his business as opposed to a big company! His prices are on point and he is extremely professional. Highly recommend for a trustworthy business!

Great guys! Had Joe andout as a 2nd opinion in whether we needed a new ac unit. He was honest, efficient, and polite. Decided to use them for an ac repair which he was able to do in the same visit. Then he came back out to fix the pan a few days later with TJ (again, polite and efficient). Saved us around 11k, from the first company that wanted us to replace not repair. Very pleased and will use them from now on.

Technician came out shortly after I contacted the company. He was very professional and very polite. Cost of parts were a little more than I expected but everything has increased lately. Over all a very good experience with Fire And Ice.

I had two ecobee smart thermostats that I needed installing. The home advisor site put me in contact with Fire and Ice and Joe came out within two hours. Coincidentally my heating went out downstairs that morning. Joe fixed the heating issue and installed the thermostats. He was very thorough and professional and he was proficient in everything that needed to be done. One of the thermostat sensors wouldn’t connect so Joe took the time to troubleshoot with an ecobee technical advisor. I have no hesitation in recommending Joe and his company and will definitely call him again when I need help.

Great experience, great service! Needed my dryer vent replaced. In the crawlspace. On a hot summer day. And I live a distance from their location. Time is money and gas prices are thru the roof. So we brainstormed by phone to make sure this job would work for us both. Joe arrived the next day and got right work. He was pleasant, professional and....told me about a much needed repair that he discovered AND gave a reference for someone that would do the job RIGHT. Shout out to Joe from fire and ice. Super nice super friendly very informative. I had an extremely old system that honestly needed to be replaced probably 10 years ago just haven’t had the time or money. Last summer A/C wasn’t working it’s hard to find a good HVAC company that doesn’t try and sell you something soon as they come out but fire and ice came out didn’t try and sell me on any new system at all immediately went to try and fix the issue which they did successfully came out a few more times for this super old system, they fixed it every time never tried to get me to buy a new one, then when it came time for winter I decided to see how much it would take to get a new heating and ac system fire and ice quote came back very competitive decided to go with them they got my new system in the next week and it’s great. I cannot recommend them enough super friendly customer satisfaction driven.

After having an issue first go around, Joe came back to install coolant for my AC free of charge and help with my NEST thermostat. He responded very quickly. He was extremely informative and helped reset everything that needed resetting. I really appreciated the time he spent helping to fix these issues!

Great, great experience with Joe and Fire & Ice. They were part of a tag team effort to install a new gas tankless water heater. Between them and my plumber, the figured it out. Will certainly look to Fire & Ice for my HVAC needs in the future !!

This is a great company. Joe is excellent, very professional, responsive, patient and kind. He thoroughly explained all repairs. Although, the cost of repairs far exceeded what I expected, Joe was willing to work with me and it was clear that his main concern and priority was fixing my air conditioner in this very very hot weather. Joe is one of the hardest working people I've met. TJ is great as well. In addition, they put on shoes covers before entering my home and I didn't have to ask 🙂

Joseph came within 20 minutes of my call and took care of my HVAC issue . I let him know I’m not educated on these type of things and he showed me around the HVAC and educated me on things I need to know and showed me where things are . He worked fast and the price was fair for him coming out so soon and getting my ac working quickly . I’ll definitely use this company when I need HVAC assistance again !

Joe came down and was able to identify the issue immediately for thermostat repair. Joe also identified a wire that was connected wrong causing the heat to run continuously. We are now more comfortable in our home. We will be sure to call them back again for service. Extremely satisfied!
