Joe has helped me with a few HVAC issues over the years and has always been knowledgable, professional, and prompt. TJ assisted me with my most recent AC need and was great. Joe & his team are the only ones I’ll call with a heating and air concern. Highly recommend!

The customer service at Fire and Ice is the absolute best. Joe has been so helpful in helping us sort out the issues with our HVAC install that was not completed to inspection by another firm. They stay in contact about appointments and answer calls or texts. I wish I had hired Fire and Ice from the start.

Joe from Fire and Ice Heating was fantastic! He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient in addressing our heating issues. He took the time to explain the problem and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. It’s rare to find someone so dependable and courteous. Highly recommend Joe for any HVAC needs!

I noticed my AC has rose to 85 degrees in the house and panicked! I call my home warranty provider and set up an appointment. The office clerk called and asked if Monday of following week good I sad that would be fine. As the day went by the thermostat went down. Thank goodness! I wanted them to still come out and see what was going on. I got a call saying hey I have a technician that’s working Saturday would it be okay if he come by and check I said that would be wonderful. Doyle the technician came checked outside then the attic. He came down and said it’s doing what it needs to be doing but it’s going down, but it’s doing the best it can. Doyle was so professional and so polite explaining the issue. He saw we were using fans in the garage and said have yall ever thought about AC in garage? We said yes but didn’t wanna put window unit in and keep taking it out. He said how about a mini split! We’d really never heard of it and he explained the whole thing and we decided to have it installed. When I tell you Fire and Ice will be my AC Team from now on! Doyle and Sawyer were amazing techs and we appreciate the care and professionalism they showed us. Thank You Fire and Ice LLC. We recommend them 100%!!

I do not recommend Fire & Ice Heating & Cooling.

While they were prompt and pleasant initially, their service turned into a costly and frustrating ordeal. They charged 2 separate diagnostic fees in two days and overcharged for ineffective repairs.

My AC stopped cooling last weekend, I called several companies and Fire & Ice was the first to come out.

Day 1: Tech looked at the system and said it was the blower motor.

Day 2: Tech came back to install the blower motor, which I paid a premium to replace—only for him to leave without verifying if the unit was cooling (it wasn’t). It then ran in a red flag state for another day.

Day 3: Same tech came back to troubleshoot why the unit wasn't cooling, then called the boss man to help. Boss had a look and suggested a $700 coil cleaning—with no guarantee that would fix the issue. They then charged me for another diagnostic fee. I had the coils cleaned, the AC still didn’t work.

After days with no resolution and no response to my email requesting a refund for the 2nd diagnostic fee and/or a proper diagnosis before I spent anymore money, I called another company. Their tech found the real issue (a failed compressor) in 15 minutes—something Fire & Ice should have checked on the first day.

Either they misdiagnosed repeatedly or knew it was the compressor and intentionally padded the bill. I’ve spent thousands on unnecessary repairs and fees—enough to have replaced the compressor outright. Now I’m stuck with a broken AC and a company that won’t respond or make it right.

A higher price and friendly tech doesn’t mean quality service. Get a second opinion before trusting them with your HVAC system.

I highly recommend Mr. Batman of Fire and Ice Heating and Cooling. Extremely knowledgeable and contentious. Serviced upstairs heat pump and downstairs furnace and shared lots of insight on both units. Courteous and thorough!

Fire and Ice price gouged us, charging us thousands for a basic repair that that others only charge hundreds for, did not fix the problem, then their technician broke our compressor with a rookie mistake, and when the boss came and saw what happened, they ghosted us.

we had the most common problem, a dirty evaporator coil that was blocked. Without even inspecting the coil, they installed a new blower motor. They charged us $2100 for a $400 part and two hours labor (price gouging). They declared it 'fixed' and left without even checking if it was cooling. Because the coil was still 100% blocked, running the new motor caused the unit to push refrigerant into the compressor, instead of vapor, destroying it. Their incompetence broke the most expensive part in the system. When we called them back, they charged a second diagnostic fee (unfair). The boss came to the site, discovered his technicians mistake, and did not acknowledge they had broken our compressor through their error. Then they stopped responding to our calls and emails.

All told, we ended up spending $5000 for a repair that should have been around $700, and a whole week in the August heat.

Called on an emergency on a Sunday, he took the time out of his personal day to stop by and made sure everything wouldn’t get worse. Repaired it the following day and even caught a huge mistake on my other unit and went ahead and fixed that as well. Besides that, he is a really great guy and you can tell he cares a lot about what he does: going above and beyond. I wouldn’t want any other company keeping my house up and running.

Did an amazing job as usual! I’d give 10 stars if Google would allow that. On time and quickly fixed my furnace which has had problems in the past during the cold times. And every time it has been fixed quickly and properly! I really appreciate the service, and will always continue to use Fire & Ice for our home.

Joe was very diligent in doing our furnace tuneup and when he found a problem, he worked tirelessly to solve it. He also diagnosed a problem with our fireplace gas logs and came up with a solution . We would highly recommend Joe with Fire and Ice for anyone needing HVAC service.

    Where do I even begin?

My first interaction with this company was actually pleasant. Promising, even. Spoiler: it did not stay that way.

Call #1: My propane logs wouldn’t turn off. Ice storm coming. I panicked. Joe showed up that evening, pointed out the knob inside the fireplace (since the remote switch box had likely died), and I happily paid the $125 service fee. No complaints. This visit isn’t even part of the real problem.

Five days later: I come home to a thermostat reading 57 despite being set to 70. I call Joe again. He shows up the next morning, finds exploded batteries in the thermostat, replaces them, and says it might need replacing eventually. I pay another $125. Still fine. He even signs me up for the semi-annual maintenance plan. Great! Future business! Everyone wins, right?…Right?

Two days later: Thermostat drops to 65. I go buy a new one at Lowe’s and call Joe back. He installs it, but when we try to register it, we get an error. “Already registered to another owner”. Honeywell is closed. Joe removes the new thermostat, reinstalls the old one, tells me to call Honeywell, and I pay yet another $125. Annoying, but whatever.

I finally reached Honeywell later in the day and they inform me that registration only matters for app control, the installer could’ve fully installed it. I could’ve cleared the previous owner later. “The technician should have known that,” they said. Okay. Honest mistake…maybe.

Two days later: Joe comes back to finally install the thermostat correctly. It works. I pay another service fee, but this time he gives me a “discount” and only charges me $62.50. This is visit #3 for the same issue, but sure. I pay it, despite being told that he should have known that he could have installed the thermostat initially. I digress…

Three days later: My heat is reading 68 while set to 70. Again. Joe comes back. This time, FINALLY, he crawls under the house and discovers the actual problem: a bad wire. The unit is 5 years old and 100% under warranty. He says he’ll “only charge me the service call fee,” like he’s doing me a favor.

At this point, I push back. He told me during visit #2 that you only pay one service fee for a single issue until it’s diagnosed—then you pay for parts. Well, we’re now at FOUR service fees for the same problem, and he never once went under the house until now.

I ask him why I should pay anything when it’s under warranty—and more importantly, why he didn’t check the wiring in the first place?

He gets furious. Tells me he’d have charged someone else $300+, and filing a warranty claim is “too much paperwork” for a “simple fix.” Then he tells me, and I quote: “never call me again for anything.”

    WOWZA! Gladly.

I told him I promise I will never, EVER call Joe at Fire and Ice again. And honestly, unless you enjoy paying 4–5 service fees for someone to repeatedly NOT diagnose the problem, you might want to take my advice. Maybe this is their business model? Hard to say. But I won’t be finding out.

Oh, and Joe? Remove me from the semi-annual maintenance list. Thanks.

FOLLOW UP - You'd love to talk to me about my concern?? I am pretty sure you asked me never to call you again for anything. Furthermore, you didn't fix any "wire" on your 4th visit because the issue happened again. I called a different company who DID fix it AND I have a service agreement with them now. I'd like to thank you for NOT fixing my problem.

We have been looking for a heating and air company that we felt was trustworthy and dependable. We found that when Joe was recommended to us. He made sure we understood the problem and showed us the parts. He povided a recommendation on where to buy our filters at a local business and saved us money by doing so.
He provided great customer service and was knowledgeable about our needs.

Fire and ice were incredibly responsive as a company, for my non-urgent issue. They were able to schedule me next day.

Joseph came out to the house + collected all relevant information about the specifics of our systems, we walked through the problems we've been having here with fresh air intake. After doing a thorough investigation of the AC systems, Joseph gave us four options at various price points and explain the pros and cons very clearly.

We will definitely be doing business with this company going forward for all the AC needs.
