Home Services reviews in High Point, North Carolina

Great, family owned business. Service is always good even when it is super, super busy. Knowledgeable staff and owner. Good selection of plants and accessories.

I took some sick patio plants to Soviero’s today hoping that someone could make a diagnosis. Young Mr Soviero did indeed help me. He asked questions, listened patiently to my responses, and diagnosed fertilizer burn. I must admit that when Miracle Gro prescribes a tablespoon I may double or at least measure carelessly! Thank you, Sir, for your patience and help. Thank you also for the two vining plants you gave me. My husband and I appreciate you.

Highly recommend Sovieros & their exceptional staff. They went way above & beyond with a special shrub order today. They had the perfect Camellia variety & made outstanding suggestions for companion items. All handled from my home in Wilmington for friends in High Point on short notice for a special occasion. Look forward to calling on them again soon for happy & beautiful plants.

Love love love this place! Stopped here yesterday for the first time since moving to NC a few months ago. Exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable people work here! Great variety and prices. Has that mom and pops personal country vibe. Much better experience than the big box chain stores.

They seemed to have a good selection. It was difficult to find some items because they didn't always have signs up. I knew exactly what I wanted and found most of it. I did ask for help for a couple of things. The cashier wasn't sure, so we asked the owner. (Pat? I think) She didn't even break stride for me to tell her the names of the plants and just said "uh I don't think so...sorry" rather curtly after hearing the partial name of the first plant. It was a little frustrating as I had spent a good amount of time looking at labels and trying to find what I needed and then couldn't get any assistance. Their prices seemed fair, but I will likely go elsewhere to get better service. I am landscaping my entire yard so they are missing out on a repeat customer.

Top Notch Experience. I'm an experienced gardener and from a family full of farmers. I got used to my local nursery and garden center back in TN. Thankful I found Soviero's. They know their stuff, can answer any question, gave me good advice, prices are great, and they have good heirlooms. Just moved here and so glad I found them. Can't wait for the okra to come up!

On the surface, my initial interaction with these folks couldn't have started off much worse. Not only did they end up making the situation right, they went above and beyond while doing so.
I own a construction company in the area; we had a project in High Point and needed two yards of gravel delivered to us. Spoke to a guy over the phone and he quoted me $124 for the grand total. Including the gravel, delivery, and taxes. Any contractor will tell you that's an incredibly fair price, so I gave them my card info right there to process the payment. Much to my surprise, later on that night, I was looking over my transactions, and saw that they had charged me $212 instead of the original $124 that was agreed to. It was well past business hours, so I couldn't contact them that night, and as you can imagine, it was a worry on my mind until the following morning.
When I asked the same guy about it the next day, I acted very nonchalant, and as if I may have been the one who misremembered the original quote, simply to test them a bit and analyze their response. Without hesitation, they checked their software, realized that they had mistakenly charged me for 4 yards of gravel instead of 2, and refunded the overcharged amount within minutes.
As a business owner myself, I realize mistakes are going to happen. All we can do is react. With that in mind, their reaction was not only prompt, it was simply impressive. They will be my primary gravel distributor from here on out. -
I wish i could give them 10 stars! The (owner?) was willing to deliver tomato plants to me for a relatively cheap price! The tomatoes look so healthy and i will definitely be shopping from them again, hopefully shopping in store!

Being going here for 2 years now to get all of my beautiful flowers. Everyone is very friendly. Jessica is the person who always help me, she's very knowledgeable, and I can tell that everyone really depends on her for advice on the different flowers and etc. Great place to shop for all your yard needs. I will continue to go there for my beautiful flowers.

Really wonderful Garden Center! We come every time I'm in town visiting my mom and they have a great variety of plants/vegetables/houseplants! Everything I have purchased has been healthy and has lasted. Very high quality plants, as well as a lot of unique planters and accessories!

Love coming here. My family has been patronizing this family business for 5 yrs. Pat and her son are wonderful and I look forward to starting my garden for 2025 with them. 🙌🏾💜💯🥰

Not a bad store. I've bought many plants and flowers here along with a few yard statues.
Not bad, although a little pricy on some things such as their metal lizards and so on you hang up.
I recommend the store overall. -
Recently I called Soviero's asking for advice for good ingredients for my husband's potted fig plants. Daniel went out of his way to research what would help them to grow well and offered super suggestions and even a website for reference. At the store, he kindly helped me with wholesome supplies. It was satisfying to bring these home and help my husband repot his fig trees with the great, tailored ingredients. I highly recommend Soviero's for those looking for quality ingredients and thoughtful help for their gardening journey.

I really wanted to like this place, but they don't really offer anything you cant get cheaper at the big box stores or online. I was hoping to find more plant diversity or even some natives, but unfortunately its all the same plants everyone else has. For roses i recommend Witherspoon's in Durham, for other plants try Pikes.

Absolutely love the selection here. And maybe even more importantly, THE PEOPLE. Daniel did a great job of wrapping our tree so it would get home in one piece. We didn't lose a leaf. I live in Winston-Salem but this is my garden center of choice. Keep up the great work Ralph!

Definitely one of my favorite nurseries in all of North Carolina to visit and support.
I have been going there for five years now and I always find the staff incredibly helpful not to mention the plants are very hearty.
They have great trees and shrubs, along with seeds of all varieties. I will definitely continue to frequent the shop and suggest it to others as well. -
Wow! Talk about a loaded garden supply store. Tons of everything! Flowers, veggies, fruit trees, and the products to take care and maintain. Definitely our new favorite garden place.

Love this place! So much to choose from and like the way it used to be growing up. Going here makes growing a garden so much easier than the large companies who really don't supplie you with what you need. Thank you soviero's for staying the way you are.

I love this place! I am fairly new to gardening and these people are great. They are always willing to stop and answer questions. They are always willing to help me, even if most of the time I am a little lost. This is one stop place for all of your gardening and landscaping needs. Think a real farmers market, minus ready-made food or ready-to-eat produce, and you have this place. Small mom and pops place but pack a big store punch. In addition to my many other purchases, I have ordered mulch a few times from this place. They are very generous with their scoops. Yes, some things might be a little more expensive, but for the most part, Soviero's is cheaper [or on par] compared to the corporate outfits. One note - their fruits and veggie starters are the cheapest in the area, by far and away. I believe the cultivate most of the fruit/veggie plants, but I might be wrong there. I had great success with all of my veggie plants in the spring. I just planted a few pounds of onions and garlic [from Soviero's] and I am excited to see how they turn out. I could keep writing about this place.. You should stop what you are doing NOW and go give them a visit!

The plants are plentiful and there's a great variety. So much more than just plants in the store. Tools, seed, feed, decor, fertilizer, birding goods, etc. A little bit of everything. The staff is always available and knowledgeable. I have never not been approached by a staff member. Usually talk to me at least two or three times, and always friendly. Great prices on plants too, and usually healthier than elsewhere.
