Associate was friendly and professional. Took time review all options prior to starting the snake. Clog was extensive. Clean out was excellent. Drain running great now. Associate asset to your company.

Zai had a positive attitude and was great to work with. Issue was not resolved the first day, but he came back the next day and got the problem fixed. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 only because I thought it was a bit pricey. Great service, but pretty expensive. However, I'm not sure what the industry standard is... this was just more than I was expecting.

Their tech called to provide an ETA and arrived on time. Was professional and polite. He resolved the issue quickly and completely, explained the issue, and checked in throughout as he had questions or to run things by me. Definitely would use again.

Despite our stressing that the wood floors were brand new and asking him to be careful, the tech did not put down any floor protection and simply rolled the snaking machine into position and rested it on its STEEL legs resulting in an obscene scratch directly in front of our kitchen sink. Hard to believe that (a) its not standard to put down floor protection and (b) the machine wouldn't at least have rubber feet. Further, the tech damaged the bricks at each of the 3 steps entering the house when he dragged the snaking machine back outside.

Van was excellent. A real pro!!! Top notch in every way. If you are lucky enough to get Van as your tech I assure your job with go smoothly. I very happy to have my shower valve replaced the same day I called. He added me to his day last minute. Sooo good!
He left it looking perfect and cleaned up behind himself. Well done!!!

Zai was excellent! He diagnosed the issue quickly and sealed off a loose shower handle gasket which was creating the leak. It took a good bit of trouble shooting to figure out where that water was coming from but made sure that he waited and tested all factors after sealing the tub! Thank you Zai I’ll be using y’all in the future!

Bit pricey. But I guess you have to expect it for emergency service. Thank goodness for the senior citizens discount. Crew was top notch and did a very thorough job beyond what I expected. Thanks Roto Rooter.

Zai came back out to my unit to repair my hot water heater. He had already completed the repair but there were unknown elements. He stayed until it was fixed and maintained a kind demeanor throughout the process. I appreciate him and will ensure if anything else is needed that my property manager dispatches him to my unit.

The toilet in one of my bathrooms would flush sometimes but not always. I called Roto Rooter and told them it was no rush but I would like someone to come look at my toilet to diagnose the issue. They called back within 10 minutes and had someone on their way to help me out.

Fortunately for me, Zai, a technician for Roto Rooter, was the person assigned to come help me out and I couldn't have been luckier. This man walked me through his thought process from beginning to end about why the issue was happening. He used a couple different types of snakes and a camera to confirm the issue was not a clogged pipe, also taking my toilet up and reinstalling it.

Every single step of the way he informed me of what he thought the issue might be and kept checking off the possibilities of what could be the problem. We eventually landed on the toilet itself - something inside the small water channels on the inside must be clogged.

After he did this, just to be 100% sure his diagnosis was correct, he helped me dig up my septic tank access, opened it up, and had me flush the toilet just so we could be certain that it wasn't a clogged pipe. He explained thoroughly how my septic system works, even let me watch him reinstall the toilet in the event I want a DIY project later on to do it myself.

I would recommend Zai to ANYONE who needs a good plumber. There are rare times when you meet someone who takes pride in their work and allows you some insight into why they are doing what they are. For him it wasn't about getting the job done as quickly as possible and getting on to the next one - for him it was ensuring that I was confident in his diagnosis and that I had gotten my money's worth.

By the time he left, I had learned new skills and learned things about the house I had just purchased that I didn't before. This elite level of customer service just can't be taught.

If you need to call Roto Rooter, ask for ZAI to come by your home. You will not be disappointed.

Back in October ‘25, our washing machine/HVAC drain got clogged on a Saturday afternoon. Antonio, with their restoration unit, arrived within less than an hour to assess. He was EXTREMELY helpful and very honest! He offered advice which helped with the entire process from even a claims stand point. A couple hrs later, Brian, with their mitigation unit arrived, and thoroughly walked me thru their process.

Brian and his partners were very respectful and professional throughout the days of their work.

Their plumber came to unclogged the drain which took only 15 minutes!

We ended up with a lot of damage to the home, but Roto Rooter’s entire crew was very reassuring and honest! I would use them again!

Extremely rude and disrespectful customer service when I dealt with them. Would not recommend.

When I was a construction manager at Habitat, I used them on many builds and renovations. I continue to use them til this day. I love their service. Big Shout out to Judy, mike and the gang.

I had sewer line and gas work to be done.

They got offended when I told them I got a second estimate from another plumber, even though it's standard practice and I was simply asking for their insights on what the other plumber said.

They had also originally made comments about our gas work, as if they would do it, but we didn't find out until we asked about gas work missing from our estimate that they don't do gas work.

They also questioned why we were "in such a rush" when we were on week #3 of waiting for them week-by-week to be available when we had already explained we are on a time crunch (which is standard on real estate projects). They couldn't be sure when they'd be available (which is understandable for a small business, but they handled it so terribly).

They then emailed us and rescinded their estimate offer and said they won't work with us, because of us explaining our frustration about these things on the last phone call.

They have reasonable pricing, and they seem to have quality work history, which is a good thing. But they were so dismissive and abrasive the whole time

Very Knowledgeable plumber!

Tanner is a great a very knowledgeable guy! I’ve enjoyed talking and gaining knowledge from him today! Will use and refer him to everyone I know!

This company installed a new septic tank for me. At first I was impressed he spent time on the phone talking to me and explaining the process. I was in the process of choosing a company and he texted me wanting a response so he could order the tank that day. Looking back I felt pressured to give him an answer even though I was still waiting for estimate from another company. He said in order to start by a certain date he needed to order the tank that day. So I said yes. Meanwhile I got a better price from another Company I had worked with in the past. He couldn't start the job as planned due to weather issues but I still felt pressured to give him an answer that day. But my main complaint is how the company left my yard when they finished. 4 or 5 large cement blocks were left in my yard. Some were right on the surface of the dirt. Some were just laying in my yard. The dirt was left uneven and with lots of cement pieces and very uneven. I talked to him that afternoon when he finished and I felt like he was in a hurry to leave. And the way they left my yard proved me to be correct. Looking back I should not have let him pressure me into a decision that day. But they left my yard in poor condition and many heavy cement blocks that I had to dispose of, which was in the agreement that he would dispose of. And the tank he installed was smaller than my original so i have had several large sink holes ive had to buy dirt to fill two different times and still having that issue currently. I wish I had went with the other company. He is a fast talker and has alot to say but in the end I was not impressed.

Shane and Tanner did an outstanding job! They were professional, efficient, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and friendly attitude. Highly recommend their service!

Wish I could give him a zero.
I fought with him for over 2 years to complete his three or four week long job.
At one point, he tried to bill me an additional couple thousand dollars for materials he purchased for his own home remodel.
He said it was an accident which could be true because he was super inefficient and unorganized. However, I think he really was trying to save himself several thousand dollars by charging it to me.

I would never recommend this person to anyone. Even if I give him the benefit of the doubt, and he actually was genuine and ethical, he is so inefficient and unorganized that it took him years to complete a job that he said would take less than a month.

He also failed his inspections over and over again. Which really makes you wonder how competent he is. The things he failed for seemed so obvious and simple. I’m really glad that the inspectors did their job well. One of the inspections he failed for not having nail plates to protect the gas line from potential nails and screws. If someone was trying to hang a shelf or something on the wall where the gas line was. Very scary.

Don’t risk it with him.

Hired Shane Lathe to do the plumbing and gas piping on a kitchen addition.
Save yourself the trouble and do not hire him for anything.
He started the job in July 2022 and passed last inspection in November 2024. Said the job would take up to a month.
Original quote was about 20k then we added about 2k to that as the job progressed.
I paid him a 6k deposit when he started.
Then he convinced me to use his preferred lender to borrow 20k. He took the 20k from the loan and never refunded the 6k deposit. After 2 years of fighting him he did refund 1900 of the 4000 he owed.

He failed so many inspections.
He made me apply and pay for the permit, even though it was in his quote. He also refused to schedule and call in inspections, making me do it.

He or his business practices are unethical, irresponsible, and unorganized.

I basically begged him to finish the job and pay me the deposit back for two years. And he still owes me about 2100 of my deposit back.

I have two years of details and examples of his nonsense on this job.

Save yourself the trouble and use someone else.
He puts on a really good show of flexibility, knowledge, and friendliness before the job starts.
He is not worth the risk. This could happen to you.
