Jon, Matt and their team did a fantastic job installing a drainage system along our driveway and walkway. The job included installation of channel drains in our walkway, permeable paver system in our driveway and a french drain. It looks super and works very well particularly in a heavy rain. We are very pleased with the results and already discussing another project! Jon and Matt were very personable and professional from the start and constructed exactly what was proposed.

Couldn't ask for more from design to installation they are absolutely one of the best contractors that I have ever worked with. Worked with us on the design to get exactly what we wanted out of our budget. They were flexible and worked around our schedule with the install process. Showed up when they said that they would and everything is absolutely beautiful. Professional all the way. Would absolutely use them for anything that I need in the future.

I could not be more pleased with the work of this company. Beginning with Jon, who came out to help me plan the job, to the completion of the job today. Everything worked out exactly as we planned. The guys today were fun, competent, and hard working. They laid a new sidewalk using pavers Jon recommended, and redid our 10 year old gravel driveway. We wanted a mix of colors on the driveway and they were able to create just the right mix. I was really impressed. If you need some work done around your house, give them a call. You won’t be sorry.

I'm picky. Particular. I run my own local service business so my standards are high for others and Currin Outdoor had a high bar to meet. Also, I had been trying to find a hardscape contractor for almost 2 years now and finally stumbled across the Currins on Yelp. I reached out to them and a few others and they were very fast to respond. It took the other companies much longer. Matt came out quickly, gave me an estimate, and after tweaking some details I hired them. Not only were they very communicative during the entire process, they were always on time, did better than expected work, and their entire crew was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. Their crew was helpful in coming up with design ideas and changes to the plan we had in mind. They are now finished and I am stunned at the quality and timeliness and price of the work. It's a shame I can't rate them 6 stars. Fantastic!

The Currin brothers are outstanding! Great communication, very hard working and very knowledgeable. They gave a competitive quote, started a few weeks later and did a wonderful job! They also started on time and didn't stop working until after dark some days. When they uncovered unexpected issues in my old irrigation system that wasn't included in the quote they worked with me to make it right with out costing much more and finishing on time. The wife and I couldn't be happier!

Jon and Matt did an amazing job on my backyard. Half of my backyard was unusable and the other half was nothing special. They transformed my yard into a beautiful and usable space for me and my family. Very easy to deal with and was always patient with me and all the questions I asked during the process. We knew we were facing a complete redesign of a backyard which previous owners had left to nature’s own devices - but we had no idea what we wanted or even where to start. Jon Currin came to our home and listened to our thoughts, asked questions which proved to us he was thinking hard about how our family would live in the space, and then created a thoughtful hardscape and landscape design. Where we asked for options, he again had thoughtful suggestions and we felt confident that he was not “selling” us anything - we truly felt that at all times, he was creating a space for our family that would not only need our immediate needs, but that would grow with us (literally!) as our needs shifted. His entire team was professional, courteous, prompt, and so diligent. Would recommend without reservation.

The guys at Currin were fantastic! I had a great experience. The team was extremely patient with me when it came to making plant decisions, billing, and the tons of questions I had throughout the whole pre, during, and post install process. Their responses via phone, email and text were always prompt and courteous. The landscaping work itself was really great and they even went above and beyond by staying in touch with me weeks and months after our install. I’ve already recommended their services to my friends and family. Can’t say enough positive things about this team. My pics don't do the work justice! And all the ivy they cleared away REALLY decreased the amount of mosquitoes we get in the front. Loved working with these guys!

We redesigned and replaced the stone for our spa and fireplace. They suggested materials and interesting designs that expanded my initial ideas in a helpful and professional manner. I was given a fair price estimate and did not overrun the budget. They always showed up on time and completed the project in a timely fashion and then cleaned everything up. I hired Currin Outdoor Living to transform my unusable backyard into an outdoor living space that worked for my family's lifestyle. We wanted a functional space to entertain, a space for our dogs, yet it needed to be low maintenance and I hoped to add value to our home. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Beyond making our yard functional, Jon turned our yard from drab to fab. He listened to our concerns, understood our aesthetic and even the necessity to fit an unusual outdoor cooker into the design. He sought out unique, modern materials that suited the style I was after. He drew up a plan and sent me photos to show me exactly what to expect. His crew was courteous and hard working and they finished our job in just three days! Amazing. I will use Currin Outdoor Living again for "phase 2" of our design plan.

Sarah was the landscape designer who came up with the plan for our yard. We spent A LOT of time reviewing our preferences and had to have several follow-up conversations because she seemed to have difficulty keeping up with basic details (preference for evergreen shrubs, desire not to have any stone incorporated into the project, etc). She seemed to be a novice and did not know basics about some of the shrubs she included in our plan (like light requirements and whether they were evergreen or deciduous) so I had to do much more research than I had intended or expected. She did not show up for our first conference call and only responded after I called her and reached out over email. Eventually she came up with a plan that we really liked, and I feel the $400 we paid for it was a decent value despite the challenges in working with her. When it came to coming up with a cost for installation, she completely stopped responding to emails, and her supervisor, Jon, who was included in all the emails, only replied when I reached out to him directly after repeated nonresponses from her. It seemed that she may have stopped working for the company. Jon showed up quite late for a conference call we had scheduled. The installation proposal he developed was significantly higher than what had been discussed initially with Sarah and what we had expected for our very small 0.17 acre yard in Five Points. When I asked for a breakdown of the costs, he said his company had stopped doing that so I was only given a total amount with no details about cost per shrub, mulch, labor, etc as I have gotten with previous landscaping work we have had done. We ended up using New South Landscaping for installation of our plan, they were significantly more affordable, and we are very happy with the results. I would definitely not use Currin Outdoor Living again due to their high cost and lack of knowledge and professionalism.

Jon was excellent to work with on our indoor fireplace makeover. He has an eye for design as well as the construction skills and was helpful in selecting the right stone for the hearth and surround. His crew installed a new fireplace screen, soapstone hearth and then installed the stone surround. Jon was easy to get in touch with throughout the process and was flexible as needed with the schedule as we were working around the holidays. We love the results and would highly recommend Currin Outdoor.

My husband and I wanted a patio and fire pit with a seat wall. We had several companies give us bids. From the start, Jon was the most professional, personable, and the most reasonable. Jon listened to what we wanted and used his creative ideas to deliver the most beautiful backyard oasis. From the start of the job to the end he, his brother, and their crew were incredible. The Curring front yard project looks awesome. They found deer resistant flowering plants I preferred, so I have things blooming much of the year.
Currin has amazing patience, as we were delayed finalizing our project b/c we were slow to move and give them plant ideas of what we wanted. Natalie and Matt did an excellant job helping finalize the plan, working on the types of flowering shrubs/trees I wanted and staying in touch, so things didn't fall through the cracks, since our schedule is so busy. When we decided to do our backyard project we spoke to a couple of companies and Jon Currin seemed to be the only one who listened to what we wanted to get out of our space and what was important to us. We’re so glad we went with Currin Outdoor. Jon brought some creative ideas to the project to make it our own and not like every cookie cutter backyard out there. Jon was easy to work with and made sure the job was done right. We now have our backyard oasis with a pool, patio, putting green, fire pit, and outdoor kitchen we had always wanted.
