Falls Contracting, Marc and Steve were the general contractors for the repairs in my Durham home (bathroom, hallway, 2 bedrooms, basement closet) from water damage. They were professional, very flexible, easy to work with, had to come behind other contractors and re-assess the required repairs, patient with my pickiness, completed work on schedule, and made sure I was happy with the repairs. These areas of my home are a true upgrade. Steve went out of his way to ensure the smallest to the largest tasks were done to specs and made quick adjustments to tiny areas I was meticulous about. He continuously communicated details with me and helped me understand the logistics. I am thankful this project did not add additional stress on top of the water disaster itself; mainly attritable to Falls Contracting's exceptional performance and great work ethics. I will gladly use Falls Contracting again for future projects.

The guys at Falls contracting kept me informed from the beginning of the project to the end of the project. Great craftsmanship and communication!

Master bath remodel done extremely well and reasonable price

Very rare to come across contractors like Falls. They are very fair and conduct good business until the end. Transparent, responsible, great company to trust with your project.

I needed a new tub, tile walls, toilet and flooring. It is finished and looks fantastic! The work was professional, done as specified and finished in a fashion that was far better quality than what I had before. I will be using Falls Contracting again.

If you are looking to hire someone and then do the job for them and get emotionally and physically stressed and then be put in a position of constant discomfort, these are your guys.

The Good:
The employees that did the actual hard work (drywall, painting, plumbing and HVAC) were very good at their job. They did a great job and were really nice people.

The BAD:
The management staff were horrible at their job and did an amazingly terrible job even on simple tasks like finding a bathtub or writing up a supplement or buying the right equipment like paint or a faucet (which I just gave up and ended up buying myself to prevent further reasons for them trying to delay)
They also said they didn't know they needed a faucet until after the bathtub was installed. Which is funny because they took the old tub out, ordered the new one and knew months ahead they would be installing a bathtub. Tub/shower faucet - Detach & reset is even written in the work order from the insurance adjuster.

The Ugly:
Lied about project start date.
Lied about primers having no strong smell.
Lied about looking for the right bathtub for weeks as the reason for delay and I found it under 2 hours on google. All tubs found to be shipped in a few days. Two of them 20 miles from job site for easy pick up.
They also apparently think its great idea to use harsh chemicals (paints, primer etc.) and loud equipment near a two month old baby. I say that because that's when proposed starting with the bathtub they had to "special order". So that's I had to find a bathtub for them to install.
They messed up my HVAC vent and then charged to fix it.
I had leave work and keep checking on progress because they kept making mistakes that won't happen if their project manager was here. Wrong paint color, did not paint certain parts, missing air vent, trash left in the middle of the living room, bathtub width did not fit.

If not the employees that did the actual hard work, I would giving this a one star.

Hands down worst experience working with a home repair company. They are extremely over priced and you can find more reasonable companies to do the job better. They were supposed to weather proof my garage. There is 2 inch gap on both doors.
I was so tired of dealing with them I left the final check is in my mailbox for them to pick up. The day they picked up the check, my mailbox was ripped off the post. I’ve lived in my house for 3 years with no issues. You decide who you think ripped off the mailbox…

I found Falls Contracting through my insurer and have had the best experiences with them. I highly recommend them for being both thorough and fair. I know there are many contractors out there, these are my 'go to' and I hope you give them a try!

Falls Contracting finished off a bathroom for us and did a great job. The cost was reasonable, the quality of the work was high, and they were always responsive whenever I had a question. I highly recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again should the need arise.

Our experience with Falls Contracting in Raleigh has been very positive. They converted our screened porch into a sunroom, and they added several rooms into a large attic space for us. Their work is top rate, and they have been easy to deal with from contract, through scheduling, to change orders, and the entire project. Perhaps most telling is the way they stand behind their work. They have been very responsive to complete the few "punch list" items that we have identified. We dealt primarily with Chuck, and he's a great guy. Highly recommend!

I contacted Fall Contracting to help with the restoration on an insurance claim for a leak in a bathroom. They were responsive in email and text messages. They accepted the restoration quote from the insurance company without any additional costs. They were also able to handle some work to the exterior of my house that was needed for an appraisal. Both jobs were completed simultaneously and the exterior work was completed at a very satisfactory cost. They also made sure to leave the leftover paint for the interior and exterior of the house. I highly recommend them for insurance claims and exterior work. Will work with them in the future.

Chuck and his people worked hard with the City and County to get us our Dream Garage and upstairs apartment. We love the finish work and details like the acid washed floors, elevator and shoe nook!

This company was top notch! They were on my mitigation immediately..no delay! Took care of my water loss no questions asked. My hubby and I were on a cruise when one of our toilets broke a fill line while we were gone. A nightmare to come back to! They were in the very next day for clean up. Thank you SOOO MUCH Falls Contracting for getting us back on track!

Chuck and his guys did a great job on my kitchen after a water leak. Steven and Marc were great to work with and I know I drove Stephanie crazy with changing my selections, but she helped me pick the right choices and I love it! I highly recommend Falls Contracting!

We had a dishwasher that leaked and warped the floor boards so we called Chuck at Falls Contracting. They took care of everything... They scheduled the estimating, demo, ordering, install all around our hectic schedule. They co-ordinated with the insurance company in a fastidious way and everyone I talked to treated me as if we were their only job. Pat was one of the guys that made a few trips to our house and he always left it nicer and cleaner than how he found it. They did such a good job it made the other imperfections really stand out. Because our floor looks so good I have to hire painters of the same caliber to make the walls look just a nice for our open house. Thanks Chuck, Pat and the rest of the team!

I had water damage in my kitchen from a leaking valve. My insurance agent provided a list of contractors and I decided to go with Falls Contracting. I worked with Marc, Marvin, but mostly with Steven. All were professional and pleasant to work with. Steven kept me informed of the next steps in the mitigation/restoration process, was willing to answer my questions and patiently worked with me to pick out new flooring. I highly recommend Falls Contracting.

Big thanks to Chuck, the owner, and his team! They were awesome start to finish. We had a lot of water damage from an upstairs toilet that ran all night and water ran all through the downstairs causing a ton of damage. Stephen was the lead guy on the project and his team, Marvin and Elias, they were all great to work with. Every one of them were very respectful, accommodating, and informative. Learned quite a bit in the process. Stephen showed me how they detect moisture in between floors/walls using an infrared camera and where they would have to tear out next and dry out. Cool stuff! In the past, some contractors have made my girlfriend a little uneasy. That was not the case at all with these guys. I will definitely use these guys for any construction/repair projects I have in the future.
