Best contractors we’ve ever experienced. First, communications with Allen was incredibly easy. Dude replied in a timely manner and each time was courteous in his responses. Then four guys showed up on time and were professional and courteous. The crew was careful with our property. They must’ve taken a picture of our little ornamental frog and mushrooms display before they removed them, because they put them back exactly as they were prior. They removed and blew every bit of debris and wood chips. And the stump that remains is ground-level and cannot be seen. Look no further, just call them now

Charles and the team are/were the best. After the most recent windstorm, it only took three business days for the crew to arrive. The crew was friendly, on time, and they cleaned thoroughly before departing. My tree was a Leyland Cypress! Well over 40 feet tall. Thanks to Bartlett -- and I look forward to working with Charles in the future to keep my row of Leylands healthy and beautiful! Thank you.

Bartlett safely took down a very difficult tree. A very large tree had fallen and hung up in another tree in a gully behind our yard, but threatened our property if it fell. The area was not accessible by equipment, so the work was all done with ropes. It was amazing to watch the climber work off ropes belayed between 2 trees. He was like a dancer with a chain saw. I would recommend Jared and the Bartlett tree team without hesitation.

The tree removal team called and showed up ahead of schedule. Very pleased with the promptness and professional work. It was evident they knew what they were doing as the team members interacted and safely worked around one another. The team took down the tree, cleaned up and were on their way in in 30 minutes. We would hire them again without any hesitation.

We had another tree service lined up for a large poplar killed by lightning. After two months of delays and lack of call back, I shopped the job around to other local firms. Bartlett is a larger company, so they weren't my first choice (keep it local).

However, the sales person Allen met with my wife, gave us two pricing options (they clean up or we do it after the fact) and even though they were substantially more money, I am totally happy with the work they did. The crew arrived within an hour of the estimated time, they immediately started the work, they did exactly what they said they would, and the job went exactly according to plan safely.

That was money well spent and a good choice -- from a guy who prefers to do his own felling work. The crew was great.

Bartlett Tree Repair has far exceeded my expectations. I called to get a certified arborist to come out and give an opinion on whether a tree needed to come down in my yard. Robert came out the same day and answered all my questions. He was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. My particular situation did not require their service at this time. but if I had a tree that was diseased and needed attention and guidance to preserve it, there is no way I would call anybody else. They were referred by the head of the Urban Forestry Department of our town which speaks to the expertise and professionalism you can expect from them. I am grateful for their assistance today.

We planted a number of new trees in March and noticed at the end of June one tree was not doing well with leaves turning yellow and falling off. Called the Bartlett's office the next morning and spoke with Meredith who was very kind and understood my urgency as we were concerned that it was a fungus or another disease that could effect the other trees. Meredith reached out to the arborist for our area, Jared, who squeezed us in the next day. Impressive!! Jared's expertise was immediately apparent and he found the problem immediately and showed me the issue. Jared designed a custom plan to take care of both the new & old trees in our yard, and his team was out within a few days preforming needed treatments and bug prevention.
Just a few days ago, we noticed two old trees with yellowing leaves, and while it has been a very hot summer, thought it best to consult with our arborist Jared. Sent him an email this morning, asking if he could swing by when he has time and take a look and for recommendations. Jared ran by at lunch time and said everything was fine and we did not need to do anything! Impressive integrity and honesty!! We have full confidence that we are doing all possible for our trees with the honest advice & incredible service from Bartlett Tree Experts!!

They showed up on time, were very courteous, cleaned up after the job and did a great job in our yard with our trees and bushes. We will continue to use them for our tree and shrub needs.

Bartlett is a national company but has local expertise. In fact they were recommended to me by a friend who works in horticulture at NC State and said Bartlett hires a lot of NC State alums. My original inquiry was about potentially moving a tree, and even though they don't perform that service, someone came out for a free consultation and checked out all the other trees on our property. He discovered a pest problem with one of our giant oak trees that potentially could have killed it, and had a crew out within days to treat it. He found a few other less urgent issues, and developed a full plan to help take care of all the trees on the property. Super friendly and professional.

In today's world of "service professionals" Bartlett stands out as one of the best our family has worked with across the board. Allen, Joanna, and the folks that come to the house time and time again we are always pleased. Doesn't matter if just trimming a few branches or if they are removing a tree that come down on the roof - we have always known exactly what to expect for cost, timing, and scope of work.

We have used Bartlett for over 10 years and are continually impressed by the knowledge and professionalism of the their crews. Safety is clearly foremost in how they approach their work and customer satisfaction their desired goal. The arborist who works in our area, Bryan Lowrance, provides advice that provides what is best for the canopy instead of the suggesting unnecessary work to fill company coffers. We have always been pleased with their work and recommend them without hesitation.

Arborist Nick Salevan come to my home, analyzed the problem, sent soil sample to the Bartlett Lab, got the results and proceeded with the recommended treatment. The result is excellent. We highly recommend Bartlett and Nick.

We had a wonderful experience with Bartlett Tree Experts! Andrew came out for a thorough quote, and the work was scheduled for shortly afterward. All of the work was extremely well done, fairly priced, and each of the team members were very professional. I am writing because of the carelessness of Bartlett Tree Experts of Raleigh that endangered the lives of my cat and my neighbors’ two cats and the songbirds that I feed. I am a veterinarian, and I don’t want this to happen to any other animals.

My Rhododendron bushes became infected with black vine weevils last year. I asked Bartlett Tree Service to spray them with pyrethrins. They said that it would take a few treatments, and they gave me dates around the time that the bushes should be treated. I told them that the treatment dates would need to be scheduled with me in advance, because I have an outdoor cat and my neighbors have 2 outdoor cats that spend much time lounging underneath the bushes. All of the cats would need to be brought inside prior to spraying and kept inside until the pyrethrins dried as pyrethrins are toxic to cats, causing muscle fasciculations, tremors, seizures, and death. In addition, there are 5 bird feeders between two of the bushes and a bird house between two of the bushes. These would need to be covered prior to spraying.

April 9, 2024 was the date that Bartlett Tree Experts had said would be around the time that the bushes would need to be sprayed. On April 5, 2024, I saw two Bartlett Tree technicians walking up my driveway with sprayers. I went out, and they said that they were coming to spray. I told them that I had told Bartlett Tree Experts that spraying would have to be scheduled in advance so that I could prepare to protect the cats and the birds. I called the Raleigh office after they left and stated this again. They said that someone would contact me to schedule. No one did.

On April 18, 2024 I had just finished bathing my mother and walked into the kitchen and saw a Bartlett Tree technician with a sprayer walking down the driveway towards his truck. I stopped him and asked if he had sprayed. He said that he had. I told him that my agreement with Bartlett Tree was that no one would come out to spray unless it was scheduled in advance. He said that he rang the doorbell, and no one answered. My doorbell doesn’t work and even if it did, I would not have been able to leave my mother in the middle of a bath. So, my bushes were sprayed, endangering the lives of 3 cats and many songbirds. I called the Raleigh office and informed them. The manager called me and said that I was supposed to get an email 24 hours in advance. I did not either of the two times that technicians came out. He said that it was not their intention to endanger the life of my cats. The intention is no excuse for the carelessness and the potential harm that was done.

I will not use Bartlett Tree Experts again, because I value the life of my cat, my neighbors’ cats, and the songbirds. I cannot recommend that others use their services as well.

Allen and the crew from Bartlett were great to work with. They were responsive to any communication and very professional in their work. The crew pruned all of the trees on my property and installed a cable. They were great! The trees are healthy and I can’t wait until spring to really see the full effect!

From the initial consultation through to watching the trucks leave my yard, the service was impeccable. Everyone was courteous and on-time. The crew working in my trees was safe, efficient, and always had "what was best for the tree" in mind. I was consulted three times during the day to be provided project updates and ask if I had any questions. They cleaned up everything as if they had never been in my yard. There is a HUGE difference between hiring someone to cut trees and hiring someone to provide advice and service for trees and bushes. Hiring Bartlett was yard-changing for me!

As a first-time homeowner, I needed to schedule my first tree work on three old, beautiful pecan trees. Bartletts responded promptly to my request and had an estimator out within a few weeks. Scheduling the actual crew was a bit delayed, but I think that is happening to every company right now. I was very pleased with the actual service. The crew was prompt, professional, took time and care with their equipment around my house and my neighbors, and taught me some basic information about my trees to help me understand more about how they would grow, and the best ways to know if they needed more attention. After watching the entire three hour process, I had a much better understanding of what was involved and felt like the quoted price they gave me was very reasonable for what was done. All in all, I'm very happy with the service and would definitely recommend them to others in the Durham area.

We hired Bartlett Tree Experts because we wanted to have someone give us an honest assessment of the many trees we have and where they are with either not being safe or needing attention. We did not want someone that is just interested in taking down trees and costing us a lot, rather an actual arborist that loves trees as much as we do and helping us make the best decisions based off their expertise of the heath and safety of the trees.

The Bartlett team that arrived gave us exactly that – only removing the trees necessary (that were unsafe or dead already) and then climbing high in the trees to take off strategic limbs to allow for the tree to correct itself or allow more light for its health. The conversation was very professional and courteous, and the team was very respectful on what we were looking to have done. They were very efficient, skilled, and made us feel extremely comfortable with what they were doing.

Overall, we were incredibly pleased with the service from Bartlett Tree Experts at a cost that we felt was very reasonable. The customer service follow-up calls afterward showed us they are very focused on customer satisfaction and quick to resolve any concerns we may have had. Looking forward to using Bartlett again in the winter for additional work they recommended for that time of the year!
