Visited the nursery today seeking advice on an ailing cherry tree. The individual I spoke with provided me with a great deal of useful information about the tree and how to proceed with it. I didn't even purchase anything, yet he helped me out immensely!

We are shopping for perennials. The lady in the front was extremely helpful in answering our questions regarding deer resistant and full sun perennials. She showed us many plants and gave us ideas. We are going back today to purchase plants for our front flowerbeds.

When I visited, it felt like a private appointment. We were shown all the plants that fit our need and given a synopsis for each for an informed decision. My new "go to" nursery. Just try to get any of those big places to give a fraction of the service received here. It'll never happened.

Great selection of herbs, vegetables and succulents. They had everything i went for and, the prices are very good.

Have gotten several plants and trees here, which are doing great. The staff is very nice and helpful. If they don't have what you are looking for, they can most likely order it for you.

Outstanding work by Anna in recommending two plants, soil preparation and planting instructions for my home flower garden project. She’s very knowledgeable and had answers for each of my concerns! Great experience!

I really enjoyed browsing some lovely plants, but the checkout experience was less than positive and gave me immediate buyer's remorse. The condescension and aggressiveness ruined the experience and left this first-time customer with a sour taste. I was really hoping to find a nursery closer to home, but I'll keep looking.

Such helpful and friendly staff members. I will never be a confident person when it comes to gardening but with the Macon Garden team, I think I can do a respectable job planting year-round interest in my garden beds! Happy to have found such a great garden shop! Thank you Macon Gardens!

Had an amazing time shopping for a Christmas Tree. The owners were spectacular and my mother got the tree she wanted this year. This is the only spot we go to each year to get our tree and wreathes. Highly recommend for any of those seeking a true Christmas tree extravaganza.

We have worked with Mike to do 3 significant plantings of trees and bushes in our yard. Mike is knowledgable with good ideas on what is possible to plant. His prices have been among the most competitive we have found. He and his crews did a great job of planting and we have had no issues with any items planted (approx. 60 items). We would not go to anyone else for our landscaping!

Visited this nursery today with very specific requirements for what I was looking for but had only a few ideas for what plants I wanted. The staff was not only super knowledgeable they walked me around helping me find the right plants and answering all of the time of questions that I had. I have not had much luck with this particular project at local nurseries and definitely hasn't found help answering questions. Other places just pointed me to an area or two with minimal guidance. I highly recommend this nursery for the depth of staff knowledge and local variety of plants!

Wonderful place to come when looking to buy a plant for myself or to give as a gift, but am not sure exactly what I want. Mike and his staff always do a wonderful job helping me find just the right type of flower or shrub for the occasion--i.e., something that offers color in the right season, works in my soil type, has some type of uniquely interesting thing about it, etc. I really appreciate the one-on-one assistance I've always been fortunate to receive and am so happy to have such a high quality nursery so close by.

I would give them a thousand stars if a could!! They were amazing and very knowledgeable! I came in knowing nothing and Mike was patient and knew so much about plants it blew my mind! The one thing that just made me a regular customer was when he took the time show me the plants that were best for what I needed, how to take care of them, and gave me a diagram of how the plant would need to planted. There was printed papers that showed how it needed to be planted that you can take home I might add. This made me feel so touched because I have a really hard time learning verbally and people usually don’t understand it and get frustrated with me but here Mike is prepared with a drawn out diagram for people who need to see it and to help people remember… I just can’t tell you how happy it made me. Thank you guys so much!!!

Very knowledgeable about plant types and plant care. I came in with about a million and a half questions and they were able to steer me in the right direction for plant health. We'll definitely be returning.

We find ourselves at Macon Gardens often for all our gardening needs! We appreciate the knowledge provided by the Master Gardeners and the newly graduated NCSU staff. We feel comfort in knowing we are getting the best well rounded knowledge, but also Macon’s is a place that is invested in keeping their methods up to date and sustainable. We love spending our time and money on their plants, which always do well in our yard with their help.

Mike, Kristen and Keith at Macon are terrific! Having moved from another state across the country, gardening looks totally different here in NC. Mike and Kristen’s knowledge of trees and what I was trying to accomplish have been so helpful.

Add to them, Keith planted my new hollies and a couple other large bushes—he too knows a ton, and was so great, even beat the estimated time I was quoted for delivery.

I've always been able to find what I need there. I've purchased a few butterfly bushes, some herbs, as well as some other random perennials. Everyone has been very helpful and pleasant there are so many items to choose from, both indoors and out. Indoors, you can find beautiful flower pots, bird baths, succulents, and other items as well as the cashier. Out front, they typically have bird houses for sale as well as other hanging potted flowers or trees. Stop by and check out the beauty! One of these years, i will go early enough in the season to purchase some pansies, which were my grandmother's favorite flowers.
