I love Orkin. I would give 5 stars except every tech that has come out has told us something different then another tech. For instance with carpenter ants, we were told they make a little trench and place bait/ poison. Tech who came out had no clue what I was saying that we were told but bait/ poison was applied. I also would have given 5 stars if regular customers like us that are getting treatments regularly didn't have to pay such an initial treatment fee for other services. I would have given 5 stars if when you sign up you were given a pamphlet of everything with a projected cost and what it truly includes. (I didn't know Carpenter ants, fire ants and regular ants were actually different from the regular pest control service. It was never explained.) But all techs have been very professional, look clean and I appreciate there ability to help us.
Now when it comes to people answering the general phone number. Well they are rude and makes you feel like you are a burden.
Communication, what is offered and pricing needs a more upfront approach. Like why wasn't the very first guy able to tell us about the differences, mention the other jobs such as crawl space door and general info able to be given.
Wish I could give 5 stars but maybe in the future.

Representative that came out to inspect the house and give me the quote was very friendly , on time, and gave me three options in writing plus showed me pictures of what he found. The one that did the work was very friendly, on time, and explained everything he did before he left. I liked the friendliness, promptness, and explanation of and of what would be done and what was done. Mainly something in writing and the explanations.

Tech has 16 years experience with Orkin. He listened to our concerns and did a thorough check and treatment. He also explained the service very well.
He was courteous and professional.

My technician always calls to set the day when he's coming and again on the way. Very helpful since I'm forgetful! Courteous. Knowledgeable and thorough. Gave been with Orkin for years and satisfied.

And since my review a year ago, they have failed to show up for scheduled appointments over and over and over. They schedule a time, send a text and then don't show. And when I try to call, they dont answer their phone. They keep promising to do better and that they are short staffed and any number of other excuses - they even bad mouthed the staff person I initially left a positive review about. (BTW - it wont let me post with no stars - in order to post, I have to add a star - there should be no stars for this business).

Very disappointed. I made an appointment for Orkin to come out on Thursday between 2-4pm. I waited around all afternoon for no one to show up. I called and let them know that they had missed their window and I had somewhere I needed to go. The lady on the phone said that my appointment had been moved to Saturday and that she “forgot to call me”. No call, text, or email letting me know that my appointment had been moved.

The technician that comes out is great however the over phone customer service and emailing department is not. I also still have ants even though I’ve been with orkin 5 months now. It took me two weeks three phone calls and multiple emails before I could actually get an appointment. I’m beyond ready for my contract to be up.

My technician is Thomas Hemric and he does an awesome job. We had a problem with small ants and he was very thorough in eradicating them. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explore all possible remedies. I appreciate his hard work and his pleasant persona. I would recommend Orkin to everyone.

When I went to set up an appointment the person was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to get an appointment the very next day at a time convenient for me.

The exterminator that came out to the house also very professional and friendly and explained everything in great detail. Very easy and good experience. So far I have already seen less pest.

T.J. did a wonderful job, the best technician I've ever dealt with from Orkin. Plan to request him for my future services. Very happy with his work!

An entire section of our wall was chewed out by mice, so while they could not fix that they did help with setting up appropriate traps, and giving ample amount of information to help us prevent any mice from getting into the house. Not a complete fix but great service! I highly recommend!

The guy was very nice and respectful and seemed knowledgeable about his information. He answered all question and explained the best ‘route’ on how to best do things. Everything was as I left it when returned home. Within 1 day major decrease in fleas; but from what he told me it takes a week or so to fully debug the house. Recommend to others in need of service!

Very informative technician, Larry! Did a wonderful job and said if we had any problems with the mosquitoes biting after treatment to please let him know. It would be nice if all service people had his pleasant, helpful attitude and took pride in their work!

Mr Wilkes was very thorough and professional.
I also like that he calls to inform us of his arrival time and assisted my COPD/ Cancer patient brother with moving his heavy objects from his room.
In the future if need be, I highly recommend him and his services and I will be calling on him!💯

Seriously, if I could give a 0 star, I would. Had an appointment scheduled between 4-6 pm and the tech was supposed to call me 30 minutes before arriving. Around 5:50 pm, I called to see where my tech was. I was advised that they couldn’t reach him by phone, but would email him to call me with an ETA. At 6:45 pm and the tech still not arriving, I called again and canceled all my services. Absolutely horrible service. I canceled other appointments to be home for the technician. I would have been a first time customer but will never use your service for anything or recommend you to anyone. I cannot be almost an hour late for my job or I would be fired. I am taking my business elsewhere. What a waste of time.

At first this company was amazing. They were professional and came on time. I don't know what happened but now.... always late never a call. Can't get the winston salem branch to even answer the phone. Last time they came late, I wasn't home... the cameras show him only doing the front of my house... wouldn't recommend. Will not be using this company again.

I just had my first service today so I can't speak to the efficacy of what was done. However, I can say the exterminator that came out was very professional, nice, and seemed to know what he was talking about. I just bought my first home and didn't want to bring bugs from my rental. It is nice knowing there is a guarantee associated with using Orkin, makes me feel like my money is going to good use!!

Alan was very professional, courteous, and respectful in doing our routine maintenance. He was new today and did a good job. Nothing against the other gentleman, but the first time he came to.our home, his shirt was not tucked in and I had to ask if he would put the boot booties on before coming into our home. He was nice and everything, but not the standard that I am used to from Orkin. Thank you for sending Alan. Please don't change.

I had a very, very positive experience using Orkin. Larry the Technician was is the best. You can't go wrong if you choose Orkin. I've just had my second experience with them and will use them again if need be. Thank You so much for your services.

Was super happy with the professional approach and in depth estimate from Orkin. Michael Holmes was the inspector that came out and was super knowledgeable and took his time to do the inspection and answer any questions that I had. I ended up choosing another company solely based on a friend of a friend discount I found out of after which made the same type of termite baiting cheaper, but would defiantly contact Michael H and Orkin in the future if something changes. Thanks again! Highly recommend!
