Had a great experience with this company. When I called to get an estimate they came out same day and gave me a price. Once the deposit was put down they gave me a timeline and showed up when they said they were going to. Everything was done as expected and their clean up was great. Wish i had more trees for them to cut down.

I needed a very large tree taken down. Mr Falls had the best price. I have a fenced in yard and they were able to bring it down with no damage to the fence. To get the equipment into my back yard, they had to remove a gate. It took multiple days so i appreciated that they always left the gate in a state where my dog's wouldn't get out.

Some things that could have been better... We didn't have a fixed date. It was 5 months from accepting the quote before the job got done. If you need an exact date, be sure to ask for it. I asked for a quote that included leaving some logs for firewood. They were going to leave the entire trunk that was 4 feet in diameter! I thought we agreed they would take anything too large for firewood, but it was 5 months earlier so I could have been mistaken. Anyhow, make sure you get all the details in writing. If I had instead in writing "leave logs for firewood. Hall away any larger than 18" diameter and any smaller than 6" diameter". So make sure you ask the questions and get everything in the contact. But I wouldn't knock off a star for this. Just giving it as advice.

Bottom line, I would recommend them.

Most reasonably priced tree trimming service in the area. Estimator was really friendly and answered all questions, did the estimation over the phone while I was at work. He told us stuff to look out for so the tree would not be damaged. Everyone on the phones was nice.

Rob’s crew that did the job was really friendly. Rob showed us exactly what he’d do and gave time to ask questions. The crew did a good job with the work. Rob checked with me before the job was complete to make sure I was happy and also checked with the neighbors to make sure they didn’t want more cut over their property. He also pointed out some other trees that might have problems and cleaned some leaves off of our roof that were not due to their trimming but they did the extra service because maybe there were some twigs up there from the cut.

Would definitely work with Mr Falls Tree Expert again.

In 2019 Mr. Falls Tree Experts came to remove this huge tree. When they came for an estimate they told me this job required a crane. They showed up the first day for the job WITHOUT a crane. They decided to start the job and were cutting the branches off and letting them fall to the ground. Branches hit my house and caused lots of damage to different areas of the house and driveway!!! Thank god no one was home! It took Mr. Falls Tree Expert a whole year to fix the house damages but it’s 2022 and the driveway hasn’t been repaired and it’s hard to get someone to respond back to me!! It seems like they giving me the run around! This is very unprofessional and I let them use “covid” as a fair reasoning for not being able to find a contractor to do the driveway but it’s been 3 years!! When will you fix your mistake?! I WILL HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES!!!

I’ve used Mr. Falls three times now and have always had excellent results. Tree trimming, treatment, and removal. All were completed as planned and cleaned up as if they were never here. I did enjoy watching the falls. Perfect placement! Thanks Mr. Falls for another job well done.

I typically do not write Google reviews, but I have had an unusually poor experience with this company and would like other potential customers to be aware of the risks of working with Mr. Falls Tree Service.

I hired Mr. Falls Tree Service to cut down a dead maple tree in my front yard this February 2025. The tree was in an open area with very few obstacles to avoid during the removal. We were referred to them by a friend who had work done on their property and decided to hire them considering their good reviews, despite being one of the higher quotes for the tree removal.

During the removal process, the tree that was cut down caused visible damage to the above-ground, exposed sewer-like connections in my front yard. The caps to the sewer connections were crushed and the pipes under the caps were also cracked and crushed. I also suspected that the joints below may have be compromised due to this damage. It was imperative that a licensed plumber inspect the area below the connections to determine the extent of the damage and assess any necessary repairs.

I promptly emailed Mr. Falls Tree Service the same day that the tree was removed, reporting the damage to the pipes, and the office supervisor responded the following day, with an excuse, claiming she forgot to notify me of the damage. She assured me that the cracked caps would be fixed. I asked what company would be repairing the pipes and was told “the owner owns a lot of different companies so one of his guys would make the repair”. I told the supervisor we would like to know the name of the company that would be completing the repair, and we would like to be home and present for the repair, expecting a licensed and insured plumber to complete the repair work.

A few days later, I received a voicemail while I was at work that the repair had been completed. I was not given a forewarning of the repair, nor any information on who/what company completed the work on my home, nor what company to contact if we had further issues. Although the cracked caps were replaced, I am still responsible for the repair of the sewer joint connections. Mr. Falls Tree Service refused to negotiate the price of the tree removal to reach a fair resolution over the damage to my property, citing the terms of the contract, which seems to protect them rather than the customer.

Per the Mr. Falls Tree Service contract:
Falls Tree Experts is not responsible for damages to underground sprinklers, septic systems, drain lines, invisible fences or underground cables unless the authorizing party adequately and accurately maps system(s) and a copy of the map is presented before or at the time the work is performed and where located on the Customer’s property, and if not, that the authorizing party has received full permission from the owner to allow FTE to perform the specified work stated in the Agreement.
Liability for Yard Damage: We are not liable for light yard damage or normal wear and tear caused during the performance of our services. If significant or unreasonable damage occurs, we are open to negotiating appropriate resolutions on a case-by-case basis. Customers are encouraged to inform us of any specific concerns or vulnerabilities on their property in advance (e.g., irrigation lines, underground utilities, or fragile landscaping). We are not responsible for gutter damage resulting from falling debris or equipment use during tree work. Clients should notify us of any pre-existing gutter issues prior to the start of the project. Any concerns will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

I just want potential customers to understand that Mr. Falls Tree Service imposes a significant risk to your property. If you allow them to work on your property, be prepared to pick up the bill for any significant or unreasonable damage that is caused to your property. I urge potential customers to think twice before they proceed with this company.

I would not use this company again, as many small issues added up to a disappointing experience. I’ll include both positives and negatives so others can get a full picture.

Communication was a huge concern. The estimator gave me only a five-minute warning before arriving, without prior scheduling (not even what day they were coming), and did not stop to knock or discuss the estimate. After accepting the proposal in late June 2025 and paying a $100 deposit for the ~$1400 estimate, I was told they were booking 1–3 weeks out. It ended up being about 5 weeks before the tree came down. They mentioned weather delays, which I understand, but clearer updates would have been appreciated.

I also had to coordinate with my neighbor since the tree was on their property but leaning toward my house. I submitted the required property agreement form and requested a copy of their insurance. It took several days before I received the certificate of insurance, which was fine since the work hadn’t yet started, but it added to the communication frustrations.

I was told I would receive at least a day’s notice before the crew arrived. Instead, they showed up unannounced mid-day randomly, wasn't even confirmed they were coming that week. Because they needed to use my neighbor’s driveway, I wanted time to let them know, and it was frustrating not to be able to do so.

The tree removal itself was completed safely, including around multiple power lines, and I appreciated that no damage occurred to utilities. However, large trunk sections were left behind blocking the sidewalk for multiple days. This created accessibility issues for neighbors and pedestrians until I contacted the company to have it removed after 2 days of blocking everything.

    Property Damage:
When my neighbor returned, they discovered damage to their driveway and the sidewalk. Video footage showed the crew with equipment and scraping the concrete repeatedly. Horrible noises. The result was deep scratches and cracks. I understand that accidents can happen, but the contract says they take ''great care'' not to damage. The video showed the complete opposite. The company’s response was disappointing. Instead of offering to assess or discuss solutions (such as repairs or a discount), they downplayed the concern and told me the marks would “wash away in the rain.” The scratches are indented into the concrete, so this was not an accurate explanation. It's also rained several times and they're still there - the close-up photos are from today- weeks later. The cracks and scratches are everywhere on the driveway and sidewalks. And not mine - which I would've been more OK with because my property isn't as nice (see crispy yard...) - but they are all over my neighbor's property, who rents and is responsible for it.

I also had trouble getting the final invoice. Despite following up multiple times, I did not receive it promptly. As a customer, it is frustrating to have to chase down a bill in order to pay on time and avoid late fees.

    Positives:
The crew was polite in person.
The tree was removed without damage to structures or utilities.

Although the actual tree removal was done safely, the lack of communication, last-minute scheduling, blocked sidewalk, property damage, and dismissive handling of concerns made this an experience I would not repeat. I believe this company could improve by providing clearer updates, respecting customer property, and addressing problems more constructively. I would absolutely never use them again, but I'm not going to tell anyone to stay away either - sometimes you can only afford the cheapest work. But for the amount they charge, it still should've been better work.

If they do the right thing and either repair the neighbor's driveway or offer a discount, I'll update my review, but I have a feeling I will just get another response diminishing their role.

Update- got invoice and paid. Company continued to ignore my concerns and did absolutely nothing to make the situation right.
