We started working with Auman in the summer of 2021 to makeover our back yard. They worked with us to design a plan that incorporated everything we wanted-pool, water garden, and large planting areas. The work was completed in two phases-walkway and patio fall of 2021, and after our pool install in the fall of 2022, they returned to complete the coping and walkway around the pool. The quality of craftmanship Auman delivers is outstanding-they do not cut corners to save time or money. Every person on the crew cared for our backyard as if it was their own. We faced some supply chain issues (concrete around the pool)) which caused delays, yet Auman was flexible and adjusted their schedule accordingly. We really appreciate their patience with us and how they accommodated changes or add-ons we requested as things took shape. Caleb and Brittany stay in close contact and always take the time to answer questions and explain options. Their knowledge of available materials and best applications gave us confidence things would be done right and last a long time. Their estimates are spot on, and they invoice through-out the project. (Which was explained in the contract) We couldn't be happier with their work and can't wait to enjoy it this summer!

Auman’s Landscaping is hands down the best hardscape company you will find anywhere. Their design ideas are incredible and their craftsmanship can’t be matched. Their crews are amazing, they explain what they’re going to do, and make sure you approve of their work as the job progresses. When your job is done they leave your property clean and finished. Recently had 3 storm water culverts placed under my driveway next to the house. I am one that always did things myself instead of hiring the work. Getting to an age that DIY is too much. So I gave them a try. The whole service was unbelievably easy and flowed smoothly. Caleb met with me and presented his suggestions on how to proceed. They were back to me the next day with a quote which I accepted and two days later Josh and Ashil arrived with materials and equipment and went to work. They were very professional and took time to answer questions I had about the installation. Both were very particular about the way culverts were excavated and installed and the finished product matched the contour of my yard and looked like I had only planted some grass seed. Highly recommend them.

We had the pleasure of working with Auman Landscape last year changing a boring space that we never used to a gorgeous backyard oasis that is now utilized year-round. For those readers that want a short, concise review skip to the last sentence of this assessment. For everyone else please see below…

We built our home in 2019. Off the back door was a township required set of steps leading out to the backyard. We never used that door, never utilized the backyard at all. For contrast we have a front porch and would hang out there all the time. Our backyard is 3+ acres and for years we missed on the great views because we had nowhere to hangout.

Fast forward to January 2024. We began researching paver stone patios, sitting walls, etc. Included in that research was looking at local teams and their work online. Auman Landscape quickly became a frontrunner in that search. We narrowed it down to 4-5 crews.

In the spring, we began contacting these crews. Caleb answered the phone and was at our house the very next day. 2 crews didn’t call me back, and the other 2 called me back weeks later. At our initial visit I outlined what I was looking for. Caleb walked us through a high-level overview of what the build process would entail. Additionally, he provided info on what would work with the space, what he thought would really bring to life what was a dull area.

From the initial visit we opted to receive plans that had a few different design options so we could get a good look at what the space would look like in the future. This helped tremendously as we had zero background in landscape design and this is one aspect where Auman Landscape shines.

Our home is located fairly close to their shop, and a couple of times we visited HQ to check out the work they have on display. It helped seeing it in person to get a feel for what we liked. Both Caleb and Brittany were gracious, answered all questions we had throughout the entire process. They’re both punctual, communicate clearly and are available almost daily if needed for any concerns we had. The estimates they provided were extremely accurate, and they invoiced throughout life of the project (explained up front).

We picked the option we felt was best for our needs. Building commenced and their crew were courteous, professional and cared for our property. It was exciting to see the build process. Caleb checked in and performed site visits to keep us apprised to next steps, and head-off any issues before they arose. That ugly, dull, never utilized backyard was transformed.

What we got was a highly functional, picturesque backyard patio and entertainment area that we truly love. We continually receive complements on it. It was such a pleasant experience and now a no-brainer as to who will be performing any landscape needs we have in the future. We now have a beautiful patio with sitting wall, fireplace walkout, a space for our hot tub, and a grand pavilion that is truly a statement piece. Our backyard went from boring to breathtaking all thanks to Auman Landscape.

Auman Landscape and Crew are our Heroes!

We couldn't have found a better contractor for our “Goldilocks” retaining wall! Goldilocks? We quickly learned that our project was either “too big” for residential contractors or “too small” for commercial ones. We found Auman Landscape and they were “just right”. Our wall was collapsing due to deteriorating railroad ties, but it is needed to retain our driveway, which is located above our house, and is situated on a steep hillside above a lake.

Below is a lengthy list of attributes. We didn’t want to exclude any.

LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS:
Caleb and Brittany Auman are local, small business owners; they and their employees all live in the area and grew up here.
They know the area, other area contractors, and other needed vendors.

STRATEGIC AND EFFICIENT LOGISTICS:
They planned an as-needed delivery of about 250 Redi-Rock blocks that weighed individually as much as 3,500 pounds ; limited space meant the blocks had to be brought in as needed, a complex effort involving large equipment working in tight spaces each and every time.

They dug, moved, and removed many tons of dirt from the site. As work progressed, they also coordinated dozens of truckloads of sand and rock used to rebuild the driveway. The challenges of this in our hilly, community of small curvy roads cannot be overstated.

They painstakingly measured each block, each space, and all of the geogrid materials used as reinforcement for each block.

COMMITTED TO QUALITY, ATTENTION TO DETAILS, AND PRECISION
Given the site, Auman Landscape strongly recommended that a certified civil engineer design the job. Some contractors had dismissed the suggestion as unnecessary, while one very experienced contractor (who said the job was too big for him), looked us straight in the eye and emphasized that we must not hire an amateur.

They were always on time and on schedule. They honored their commitments.

CONSCIENTIOUS AND PROFESSIONAL:
Because we live in a private community, we were pleased that Auman’s crew, without being asked, kept our community’s security staff informed on all deliveries, such as Redi-Rock block, sand, gravel, and construction equipment. The head of Security told us that he would recommend Auman Landscape to anyone.

All of the Auman staff were friendly and engaged. They took time to talk with us about their work. They ensured the public roadway in front of our house was kept clean and wasn’t blocked for our neighbors’ use.

Although some of the work they had to do was noisy, they themselves were not. Our immediate neighbor was pleased that Auman contacted them to make sure the work was going ok from their perspective.

PERSONALIZED APPROACH:
They gave us a weekly summary of day-by-day accomplishments. They provided an advance schedule of invoicing that would occur and stuck to it. They came in within their own projected budget. When we had to be away, they sent us photos of their progress. They were always very responsive to inquiries or comments.

After the project was completed, we looked back over their website’s descriptions and they matched our experience. We didn't fully appreciate how complex our project would be until we were in the middle of it. With awe and respect, we strongly and heartily recommend Auman Landscape, and already have plans to work with them again.

Professional, goes above and beyond, great customer service

Whatever you do, do not use this man Mike Messmore for anything, he scammed my wife and I out of $5000. He was suppose to do a bathroom remodel for us however he never did the plumbing under the floor and laid everything overtop also cut all of the copper pipe out he could find and stole that as well. When he gets the money him and his wife Brandy just disappear they are both in it together.
They planned it all along to scam us. Whether it be pressure washing , plumbing , or remodel, you will get screwed. Google his name and you will see 46 Criminal and traffic convictions he is only 39. He will try and get what he can from you then take off . Soon I will be posting pictures of what he did on facebook so everyone will know that scum like that do exist out there. This was a referral from his own father and still made no difference.
Less than 1 star but that is not possible.

Mike came out to investigate a problem with our gutters not draining properly underground. We discovered major collapsed drainage tiles. Mike provided an alternative to digging up our back paver patio. The work was completed on time and at the quoted price.

Mike saved the night. I contacted him around 8pm tonight (a Sunday night) after explaining that the water pipe busted under the sink, which resulted in us having to shut the water off in our home. he said he'd be able to fix it and he was here within about 45 minutes and fixed the issue, allowing us to have our water back on!! Extremely reasonably priced and very personable. I would absolutely recommend custom contracting solutions!! We will definitely be reaching out again to complete a few other projects in our home!!

The tune up was to cost 74.00. Agreed first time client. Wavered maintenance club charge 29.00 coupon.
Maintence man Kevin was at our home 2.5 hours,
Seeming to be in no hurry to get done.
We had no issues with furnace but capacitors (correction) could be replaced. The parts cost 25.00 for both - Installed in 10 min. after being here 2 hours. Besides parts and maintenance tune up, charged 100.00 per part for labor.

The parts were easy to install, and I thought this was unfair. All the testing included in tune up. Why was labor so high? It's not a 100.00 job to install a capacitor. I read reply...

Office staff is courteous and helpful, and they had a technician at my house about an hour after calling for service(!!!). The technician provided clear, concise explanation of the problem, offered options, and didn't try to sell me services I didn't need. A great experience from start to finish, and I will definitely use and recommend Advanced Heating & Cooling in the future.

Shawn and his men have been out to my house several times. They were there for me when my hot water tank leaked all over the basement and I didn't know where the shut off valve was. He rushed out to shut the water off and within an hour someone was there to replace it! They were very friendly and knowledgeable I also had them come to fix my ac on a very hot day! Again, they were extremely polite and knowledgeable!
I cannot thank them enough for their help and expertise. I will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to family and friends! .

Absolutely do not use this business as long as they are installing Daikin products. They installed a furnace and air conditioner in our house 3 years ago that have not worked properly since. Every time they need to come out they charge for the same repairs over and over again. They are extremely rude on the phone and argumentative when calling and explaining your problem. I highly highly highly recommend finding another provider for all your heating and cooling needs!!!! This company is a joke!!!! Please be aware before you are scammed as well!!!

Josh was very positive with our problem.Very nice person and fixed the problem then took few extra minutes to make sure all was aok. Would like him to be our tech anytime.

I am so pleased with how professional and knowledgeable Shawn and his staff are. We called in with major issues and they immediately that day penciled us in and came out to look at it. He worked around our busy work schedule and was able to get everything done in a timely manner and went above and beyond what was expected. After the job was finished he did a walk through and thoroughly explained everything to us. Never made us feel rushed.

On another note he also caught a gas leak, and saved us from potential carbon monoxide poisoning. I will recommend them over and over again.

We have worked with them for about 4 years now. Had an AC installed. We chose them because prev homeowners had their furnace installed through them. Have always had quality work from them. They helped us with an issue today (ductwork was in the way of a gas line). Extremely grateful that they were able to squeeze us in. They even identified another potentially harmful issue and resolved that too. Thank you.

Called Advance and tech came to house and was very helpful. He was timely as well. Which is amazing. they give you a window of 2 hours and without fail he was there within that time. What was even nicer they texted me to advise they were on their way. Price was very reasonable. I will vouch for this company any time and recommend to my family and friends.
