"Service after the Sale" It has been almost 4 years after we had our kitchen remodeled and I called today with a issue with our counter top. Within 8 minutes I have a call back from Dave Carver with three options to solve the issue. Dave made the call to the countertop company and 3 minutes later I receive a call to schedule my repair. This service is why we picked Jim Carver and Sons to remodel our 2.5 bathrooms and our kitchen. Happy customer here!

An interior designer colleague of mine called to remodel her kitchen. She talked to one of the sons and he had zero customer service skills. He was entirely arrogant, rude, and insulting. Told her “I’ll entertain your ideas but it’s not how we’re going to do it.” and, when asked what her budget was said, “Honey, I wouldn’t hang your cabinets for $50,000.” He also insinuated her house wasn’t expensive enough to be worth his time to work on. A ridiculous attitude to have when the store is within walking distance of our neighborhood and next to a vape shop and a gas station. I’ll make sure all of our clients know this place discriminates based on (perceived) class and disrespects women. I’m curious to see if it’s “worth their time” to respond.

It’s been several weeks since the completion of our bathroom remodel and every time I step into it, I’m thrilled. We love our new bathroom remodel. The whole process of transforming our cramped, crummy space into a bathroom full of light and style was so worth it. I believe Barb’s persistence to design the ultimate layout showcases her passion to please her clients and incorporate functionality and style. Carver’s crew executed every detail with precision. Tom’s skillful solution to an unforeseen problem (this house was built in 1918) showed his and his crew’s professional abilities. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond. Thank you, J Carver & Sons.

Jim Carver & Sons did a fantastic job on my kitchen remodel and I can’t thank them enough! When I first called one of the owners, Dave Carver, I just wanted to replace my cabinets and counter tops and not change anything else. It turns out that Dave knew my floor plan very well, and right away he suggested some changes that would open up the kitchen and greatly improve functionality.
I loved the plans he came up with, especially when he showed me color renderings that previewed exactly how the new kitchen would look from various perspectives. Once I saw the renderings, there was no way I was not going to have this kitchen!
Dave was easy to work with and I basically went along with all of his suggestions in the showroom. Why? Because everything he showed me was brilliant! For example, he suggested gold cabinet handles - not something I would have thought of myself - but they are gorgeous.
Dave totally impressed me with the way he was able to schedule every step of the process so that I knew exactly how many days the project would take, and what would be done when.
As Dave walked me through the process, I became confident that there would be no surprises. (And there weren’t.) In fact, I left town for two weeks in the middle of the remodel and honestly I never worried about anything going wrong while I was gone. (Nothing did.)

Gary’s crew always arrived on time, were organized, worked diligently and always respected my property.

The workmanship was flawless and I have to pinch myself to believe this is really my new kitchen. Hats off to Jim Carver & Sons!!

Carver and Sons did a fantastic job remodeling our kitchen. They were able to work with my special needs and ADA cabinets. Dave did an excellent job with the design while the workers performed with great skill and professionalism . We can’t thank them enough.

We are impressed with our kitchen remodel by Carver & Sons, which was recently finished in August. The kitchen is beautiful. From the first meeting throughout the entire project, Dave and John (crew chief) were on top of every detail. They gave us a start date of July 17 with an end date of Aug 11 - and that is exactly what happened- which is rare these days! They started and ended on time, cleaned up at the end of each day, gave attention to every detail, and did excellent work overall. We highly recommend Dave Carver and his team and would choose them again. And in addition to doing a beautiful job, Dave and John were a pleasure to work with.

We were looking to remodel our primary bathroom. The top reviews that came up over and over again were for Carver and Sons. So we stopped in when we were in the Beechmont area just to look around. Dave Carver greeted us and asked what our project was. He showed us some ideas and offered to come to our home and see the space, which he did. A few days later after assessing the project he called us. We sat down with him and he showed us some wonderful options. He was never pushy, always practical and just as nice as he could be. He was great with helping figure out which counters would look best with our particular white paint selection. He gave us the timing of when they could start and put the whole process in writing for every step of the way. The construction team led by Gary was wonderful. They were always on time and left everything spotless. The quality of their work and the quality of the all the materials from cabinets to sinks to mirrors is outstanding. They finished right on time. Everyone including the ladies in the office were great. I would not hesitate to use Carver and sons again.

We had a bath remodel with Jim Carver and Sons. Dave was knowledgeable and helpful. He handled all of the design planning. Dave's crew was excellent and the job was finished within the projected timeframe. We would hire them again.

Steve Carver is excellent to do business with. We bought 2 high end doors from Jim Carver and Sons on Beechmont Ave. One of the doors had some imperfections in the glass. When I called Steve, he came to our house the next day and within 2 weeks we had a new door! Our house was built in 1957 so Steve also came out a few other times and made a some adjustments. We love our Provia doors and the service we were provided. Thanks Steve!!!

Dave and the entire team at Carver were excellent. We’ve had them do several large jobs (bathrooms, kitchen) along with many handyman tasks in our home. I had recently had some health issues which required me to postpone and reschedule much of our last project. Dave was very accommodating thru the entire process. John and Alex were incredibly mindful of my situation and made sure to add extra safeguards for dust and construction debris which could affect my health. Much appreciated!! The work is beautiful and was done in a timely and friendly manner with plenty of communication along the way.

I will definitely consider Carver for any future projects.

Working with Dave from the first meeting to the end of the job was a great experience. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and very responsive throughout the process. Dave would come to our home during the construction phase to address and resolve any questions or concerns we had. His crew was on time and professional. We've had a fantastic experience working with Jim Carver & Sons for our full kitchen remodel. Dave helped us design the kitchen of our dreams and rework an out-dated and dark kitchen into a bright, functional space that the whole family wants to be in. The turnaround time for the design was very fast and Dave took a lot of time and care to help us pick out the right finishes to match our style.

Gary and his crew were great to work with throughout the project. They showed up on time and left the house in great shape when they left each day, which was important with two kids and a cat running around. They treated me with respect, answered all of my questions, and made adjustments as I brought them to their attention.

All of the sub-contractors and recommended partners we've worked with (flooring, painting, appliances) have also been top-notch. We are thrilled with the finished product and would highly recommend Jim Carver and Sons to anyone planning to do a kitchen remodel.

We had a great experience with Dave Carver and the Jim Carver & Sons Home Improvement Team when remodeling our kitchen and powder room back in 2018. We recently visited the showroom to pick up a touch up kit and to schedule a service visit to refresh a small area of caulking behind our kitchen faucet. After 7 years our kitchen and powder room still look great! We are so fortunate that we chose Dave and his team to handle our remodeling project!

Carver & Sons created the kitchen of our dreams. They absolutely transformed a dark, outdated space into one that is bright, beautiful and efficient. I have to first commend our designer, Dave Carver. He quickly understood our “old kitchen pain points” and suggested how to make the best use of our budget. His experience and eye for detail allowed us to achieve a modern Tuscan design that flows beautifully with our adjacent rooms.

Our contractor team, John and Alex, were equally amazing. Every aspect of their work - carpentry, electrical, plumbing, appliance installation, tiling and finishing - was exceptional. Truly their craftsmanship is the best we’ve ever seen. And they were ultra professional: Every day they arrived on time, explained the day’s work plan, and left the space clean and safe. In just a short time they were like members of our family and our daily banter was fun.

Other things we appreciated: the work started and stayed on schedule; Carver & Sons coordinated the timing of the other contractors (countertops, flooring), which maximized the overall schedule; Dave Carver stopped in regularly to assess progress and answer any questions we had; we were able to pay in four increments as major work completed; our final bill was exactly as proposed, except for some minor ad-ons we requested, all fairly billed.

In summary this company exceeded our expectations! Thank you, Dave, John and Alex.

Barb is an absolute goddess! She took our kitchen from early 2000s bleh to coastal chic. Thank you, Barb, and the entire Jim Carver team for knocking it out of the park!

After seeing the quality of work Jim Carver & Sons did on my mother's master bath renovation, I had no reservations about turning to them for my own. While our project's size was not massive, it did include replacing everything in the room including the builder grade tub. Selection of the tiles, colors, and furniture for the bathroom was vast and the process of selecting the combinations was made so much easier by Dave Carver. In terms of the build crew I can say this: Carver and Son's were punctual, respectful of my home leading to the work space, and provided wonderful build quality. Their crew replaced all the waterline hardware, for not just the shower, but toilet and sink as well (no more seized water valves). Most importantly, they stuck to the work timeline and the project finished in the time as expected. The crew lead point man, Bob, checked in with me during the process, asked the important questions, and took care of any issues that arose in a timely manner. The only note I want to bring up is that while JC&S has subcontractors they work with, they do not have anyone on their crew that paints directly for the project. Dave offered to put us in contact with a paint crew, but in my case I chose to take care of it myself as it was not a massive undertaking. I do not bring this up a slight against them, but rather just information for anyone looking.

Ultimately, they are a excellent choice for a renovation project. They take pride in their work and it shows. I don't regret my decision and I do not believe you will either if you choose Carver & Sons.

This is the second kitchen we have remodeled. First was in another home about 15 years ago. That was our first remodel with Carver & Sons. Through the years and several bathrooms, we knew there was no other company we wanted to work with. Their design ideas and recommendations are perfect for each jobs' challenges. Their skilled crew are exceptional in detail, cleaning daily after each stage of improvement, and very pleasant people to work with. Walking into my new kitchen lifts my spirits with impeccably installed cabinets - never thought I would have a white kitchen - and the recommended tile and countertop complete an entirely new look. I chose to photo with certain appliances on the counter because that is how real people use a kitchen. It will be a challenge to make this one look cluttered! Master bath is next on my list! I highly recommend Dave Carver and his team.
