We hired Green Living by Design for a very large landscaping, new patio and new driveway project. It was large in scope. Originally estimated at 4 to 5 weeks, the work actually took more than 4 months. We didn't get information unless we directly asked. We did some of the work and weren't discounted for it. They left many things looking substandard when they left - the grass planted was half weed, many low spots in the yard, etc. Very disappointed.

GLBD did landscaping in the front of my home. Added so much curb appeal. Love that they are environmentally friendly! The crew did a fantastic job, were very professional. I have even got to see a time lapse video of the process.

There were a number of reasons why I wouldn’t recommend this company. Three of the pictures on this website are pictures of the work that was done at my home. Though it looks very beautiful due to poor communication with the company’s workers it took a long time to get there.
I would not recommend this company for big jobs and would stick to just flowers. Though she does not warranty any pots that get hit by a down pour or freeze like temperatures like it did with mine. I wanted posts for a hammock and a bench installed. It took three tries before they finally got it right.

Yummy homemade apple fritters, coffee cake, coffee, array of empanadas. Beautifully photographed cards created by the owner, "punny" foodie cards, beautiful flowers and vegetables, delicious farm apples!

I highly recommend GLBD. Julia designed our entire landscape and it is truly amazing. I would of never envisioned the outcome and had no idea what to plant. We had nothing and no trees. We are working on sections at a time and just had our trees installed. Absolutely beautiful trees and her team answered all my questions. Amazing company and cannot wait until spring to have GLBD work on another section of the design. Thank you very much Julia.

My dad is 83 and can't plant his own garden and I live out of town. A lot of his landscaping had become over grown and too much for him to manage. Green Living by Design cultivated and planted his garden, so he could get back to enjoying gardening. For his landscaping, they planted hostas and yarrow, which are easy for him to take care of. I became aware of them thru seeing larger projects they had done and this was a tiny job. They treated my dad great and he was really happy, so even on a tiny job they care. Strongly recommend to anybody who wants a pollinator friendly landscaping

Julia and her team are so much fun to work with. She has an eye for design and landscape architecture that compliments nature. Not only was I impressed by her passion for native plants, but she educated me in a way that I can really appreciate how to care for my yard. I’m so pleased to have worked with her.

I highly recommend GLBD for your landscape needs! We have a home on a hill and Julia’s designed a landscape that is environmentally thoughtful and beautiful year round. She incorporated native and erosion control plants that have interesting textures and colors that complement our property. I cannot rave about Julia enough! She continues to check in on our landscape and is so knowledgeable and professional. Many, many thanks to GLBD for dressing up our home!
