Paving Contractor reviews in Cincinnati, Ohio

We had an old stone wall by the driveway taken down and rebuilt. Rick’s crew did an outstanding job! His workers were very professional and were careful to clean up each day before leaving which we really appreciated. And our neighbors have all commented on how nice it looks!

Rick and his crew did a phenomenal job on repointing my flagstone pavers and repairing a retaining wall. He responded quickly to my initial request for a quote, and I was scheduled quickly. Workers were professional and left the area clean. Would definitely work with this company again.

Rick and his team did an amazing job! They were skilled, timely, and polite. Rick offered suggestions for design and solutions for a couple problem areas. They put in new blue stone pavement that looks outstanding, repaired retaining walls, and relaid the brickwork patio. Fantastic results - I couldn't be happier. Thank you!

We really recommend Rick Curtis. Last year he helped us in so many ways to achieve our vision of our back patio, and the process didn't take long at all. He listened to what we wanted and the cost we were considering, and he walked us through the pro's and con's of the different types of stones and design options. He didn't need fancy software to design it- he knew the plan, translated to his skilled team, and they executed it until all parties were happy. When it was finishing up there was an area around the step that didn't have the finished look that I envisioned; when he heard that, they worked on it to quickly fix it, and it is truly excellent and exactly what we wanted. Thanks, Rick!

Deciding on finding the right contractor is a tough decision but working with Rick makes it easy. He is dependable, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, partners for creative solutions, and is worth the value. From start to finish working with Rick exceeded my expectations and provided a great experience – The stonework turned out beautifully and would I highly recommend.

Rick and his team demolished and removed a defunckt fountain from the center of our driveway and replaced it with a beautiful rose compass! From demo to completion Rick and his team were professional and courteous. We will definitely use Rick future masonry projects!

We hired Rick and his crew to install a 17' x 15' paver patio using Unilock Umbriano pavers and a retaining wall using Allen Block. Rick was prompt in coming out to give us a quote that was reasonable to other bids we had received and to help us think through how best to construct the patio. He recommended a long step coming out of our screened porch across the patio that we had not envisioned and it turned out fantastic.

Our patio was constructed using 21" X 14" pavers in a rather simple pattern, but one that is not typically done. At one point we had to stop to discuss how to continue our pattern without cutting the pavers. We appreciated the ability to provide feedback to Rick and his crew and make the patio what we wanted it to be. While it did require some rework for the crew Rick said he wanted it to be done right and for us to be happy as customers.

A final comment was that several days after the patio was finished we noticed some of the polymer sand had not adhered to the joints on the steps as we would have liked. We called Rick and one of his crew members was out that same week to touch it up.

From start to finish we appreciated the transparency, communication, attention to detail, care for our surrounding property, hard work and desire for us to be happy with the finished product. We would definitely recommend Rick Curtis and his crew for your hardscaping needs.

We hired Rick after reading a-lot of the positive reviews. Let me tell you they do not disappoint !

Our house is on a hillside, We had approx. 300ft of old crumbling stone wall removed, and replaced with modern block
and though we had some weather holding up the job, it was finished on-time and on budget.

The quality is top notch. I can’t say enough great things about Rick, Jesus & crew.

We have more projects planned in the future, and we’ll definitely be hiring them again.

You can call the rest, but they’re the best. Look no further.

Best in town

Ricks guys do a great job! Jes’us especially is so talented and deserves to be acknowledged for his artistry and talents!! Our patio turned out beautiful and they also did some landscaping! The only reason I didnt give this
Review a 5 is because you have to mention what you want many times to Rick because he is very forgetful! Besides that, everything turned out exactly as we hoped it would!

Rick repaired a fallen stone wall under our patio slab, where I was concerned about additional collapse. He came to my house to quote (not just a review of photos), and after being selected, he got to the job quickly, with a crew of 4 people. The repair expanded into adjacent areas (to do it right), but he stuck to the agreed price. The polite crew came on-time, worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves. Looks great. Rick Curtis was the right choice for us.

Rick’s crew did an amazing job on my new retaining wall! They were always prompt, willing to answer questions, and clean up after each workday! Rick was helpful in suggesting a block that gave the new wall a clean-cut modern look. His prices are very fair and I can’t say enough good things about how well this project turned out!

We just had Rick and team repair/replace a very large flagstone patio. They did an exceptional job! We were beyond happy with the quality of work. The patio was 20 yrs old and it actually looks brand new again. The team was on time every day and worked so hard. They were meticulous and left the site perfectly clean every day. They were so respectful and kind. And they went above and beyond to make sure all the ‘little things’ weren’t overlooked. Can’t say enough! Thanks Rick and team!!

We had a new front path and steps put in by Rick and team. Rick suggested which blue stone to use. They worked hard and cleaned up as they went. Very pleased with the finished result and I highly recommend.

Rick and his crew did great job building our paver patio. After submitting the quote request, I got the call on the second day. Rick came on-site within a week and gave us a very reasonable price, down to the earth. Construction started the next week. The crew was polite and professional, they came on time every morning and cleaned up debris and dust on the drive way everytime before they left the site. The completed patio looks great, I recommend this team for your project.

I hired Rick to put in a 750sf paverstone patio. In a society short on contractors - it can be hard to find a good, reliable one. The strong reviews made me chose Rick over others. He didn’t disappoint. Rick himself is highly responsive, communicates regularly and a man of his word. His crew leaves no detail unnoticed. I watched the progress all day long from my office window. I would have never fathomed how much work is involved, how much precision is required. Rick’s crew is top notch - professional and courteous, work incredibly hard and I have to say...these gentleman are absolute artisans. I couldn’t be happier with the result. SPECTACULAR and better than I even imagined it would be. And they don’t stop there...great care was taken to return the surrounding area to the way they found it. I would hire Rick and his crew over and over again. Bravo!

Needed to repair a retaining wall along driveway that was about to fall, Rick came out quickly and the quote was reasonable for the scope of the work. His crew was out 2 days later and got the job done in 3 days. They did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend him if you need high quality work at a reasonable price. Thank you Rick for a beautiful new wall!

This review is long overdue but Rick and his crew did a top notch job on our fireplace / covered deck installation. We had an existing builder grade deck and wanted a covered deck with a 2 story fireplace and Rick's team handled every request and provided the top level craftsmanship we desired. The crew was on site daily and handled and changes on the fly seamlessly. We have already recommended Rick and his company to our neighbors but wanted to give some more praise where it is due. Thanks for everything - Steve

We are delighted with our experience using Rick Curtis Hardscapes. The level of quality and attention to detail is impeccable. Our patio pavers turned out exactly the way we had hoped. Almost as important as the quality of the work, the customer service was also great. The crew showed up when they said they would, and were very friendly. We would highly recommend to others.

Rick Curtis and his crew did a fantastic job of removing two retaining walls around our swimming pool that were not installed properly 14 years ago (i.e. no geogrid). The walls were leaning and bowing, eventually becoming unsafe. Rick properly reinstalled the original Uniloc blocks with geogrid and deck pavers. I would recommend this company for any hardscape project.

Rick Curtis Hardscapes redid the retaining walls on both sides of our driveway. He responded quickly to our request and, while his quote was more than we anticipated, his crew did a beautiful job for us. Their work was first rate, they were prompt and courteous, and they worked very hard cleaning up when they were finished. We are very pleased with their work.

Rick was very responsive and accommodating in working with us to come up with an attractive, practical and permanent retaining wall rebuild. He presented several different options and was able to get us exactly the kind of stone block we wanted. His crew worked HARD and did an amazing job tearing down the old wall and building the new one. We had one small punch-list item after the work was completed and one of his crew was out the next day to address it. All in all, we're very happy with Rick and his work and would unreservedly recommend him.
