Dan didn't show up for our appointment, didn't apologize or explain, and then rescheduled through an automated system for a random date in the future without contacting me.

To be fair, his automated emails do state pretty clearly that he may just not contact you when his schedule changes. That probably works for some people, and his great reviews indicate that he probably does great work when he does show up.

When we spoke on the phone to schedule the appointment, Dan himself admitted that he needs a secretary.

If you have a demanding schedule or need predictability, unfortunately Buckeye Electric probably isn't the right electrician for you, at least until he's able to organize things a bit better.

This is the second time we have use Buckeye Electric. For this particular service, we were upgrading many of our lighting throughout our home...chandeliers, kitchen lighting, hallway lighting, outdoor porch lighting, and adding dimmers to basement lighting. They were able to come out within a week to conduct an estimate and then schedule to do the work a week after that. The technicians are always on time and courteous. They are knowledgeable and we have been more than satisfied with the work they have done for us.

Rating Buckeye Electric is difficult because there are two different components. The electricians are top notch. They are very courteous and perform high quality work. I would rate them a 5. The management, however, needs vastly improved. Twice, no one showed up when scheduled. I totally understand projects take longer than expected. What is not understandable is no one from the company contacted me. After the first time, I would have thought they would have been more responsive, but they were not. No one contacted me when they did not show up the second time. There was never any conversation about what could be done to ensure that the customer was happy and would be a repeat customer. Despite the outstanding work the electricians performed, I doubt I will use them again due to how the company treats its customers.

Tony and the team of Buckeye Electric are wonderful! They are always so responsive, usually getting in touch with us for an appointment within a few hours and coming out to fix the problems within a day or so. I especially appreciate the feeling of partnership. The Buckeye Electric crew knows who my business is and asks about other things they can do to assist us. I am grateful for their professionalism and reliability.

10/2024 Update : They still rock! I needed the team to fix the switch on an old-school neon light fixture and voila! Its perfect.

Electrician was late and unprepared for the job even after I explained via the schedule request what I needed done. The work the electrician did entailed removing an existing plug which was used to charge my EV, and replacing it with a more heavy duty plug. Electrician took the old plug. I would like it back.

These guys were great and quickly solved my electrical problem.

We used Buckeye Electric of Upper Arlington on a recent job. Very poor communication. Work was fine and over priced. When we attempted to follow up for paperwork we were told to text and use other lines. We got brief responses and then he disappeared. Very disappointing. We have used several electricians over the years and this is not your company. Not professional at all. Stay Away!

Daniel- not sure if he is owner or works there. Terrible interaction with him. He was 45 minutes late and that was after a two hour window. Looked upset the whole time he was in my house. He did give me a quote that day, I wanted to negotiate and then he sends me an email lecturing me. I will get a different electrician.

Didn’t need to schedule far out for the estimate and during estimate ended up figuring out one of the problems and fixed it quickly then and there and for a very fair price. Hope the other estimates come back good and we can use them again.

Update: Super fair pricing and wonderful service. They came back with an estimate and were able to schedule the work quickly and easily. Edgar and his coworker both did the estimate and the actual work so they knew what we wanted and did exactly that! They are efficient, nice and polite young men. I am so impressed by their work and will use Buckeye for any future electrical needs.

Had an issue with my furnace tripping a breaker on a Friday night and needed to get it fixed quickly, Dan was out with an hour and a half of calling, found the problem quickly and explained it, and only fixed what was needed. Fantastic customer service and would definitely recommend!

Thank you Buckeye Electric! I've used a variety of different electric companies and will never use anyone other that Buckeye Electric moving forward. They were polite, professional, quick and most importantly, they provided a good quote with at a reasonable price. Well done.

This is actually my 2nd review as I needed work done late on Saturday. Dan was my electrician this time and showed within 30 min as he said and completed the job in less than 20min. Again, the price for the professional work cannot be matched from any other company. Believe me, I know as have dealt with a few and called many. Based n my experiences, I hope this company gets the recognition and praise deserved if already haven’t. Thanks again!!

Power out 3p on a Friday. AEP determined it was “not their problem” by 5p. Dan and Buckeye had power restored by 7p!

Definitive solution installed (outdoor disconnect) on Wednesday.

Great company to do Business with. After two other companies tried to tell me I needed to spend multiple thousands of dollars replacing components, Buckeye figured out the source of the problem & fixed it for a small faction of what the other companies tried to talk me into. Buckeye is definitely a straight shooting company.

Dan and his team are excellent! We needed to upgrade our home’s service to 200 amps and install outlets in our basement and garage. Dan came over and gave me an estimate within 24 hours of calling, and he and his team completed the work the following week within one day. Their prices are very fair and the quality of their work is top-notch. I would highly recommend Buckeye Electric of Upper Arlington!
