Though I have never used them for their services, J Edwards was kind enough to give my little girls $20 to buy ice cream when he overheard them talking about wanting some while waiting in line at the bank inside Meijer's😊. It made their day & was very generous!

After weeds they hand pulled and spread weed killer over had fully returned the following week, the company did respond to our concerns and came out to our property to re-spray their weed killer. Plus, the mulching and edging they did was good.

E & L Lawn Care left mud and rocks in my driveway. In addition, they blocked my driveway with a trailer. When I asked the owner and crew to move the trailer, they stonewalled, taunted and laughed. They did everything but cooperate. They recommended I call the police on them, for example. What reputable company chides anyone to call the police on them. I can only conclude that E & L Lawn Care has absolutely no business acumen. Judge for yourself by searching for and evaluating their ratings and reviews. I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone: Caveat Emptor!!!!

The vendor is wrong in the claim that I did not do business with them. I did hire E and L Lawn care and had to hire another company to do the job right. Once again this company is not honest. Plus, E and L Lawn Care should not be able to rate themselves to improve their rating. Subtract the 10 stars this company gave itself and their rating falls below 3 stars.

Simply sad.

Back in June I called E & L to come and take a look at our pavers to see if they could tear them out, replenish the gravel, level, and re lay them. They came out and met with me. While there, I asked if they could transplant some hydrangea bushes (since they are a lawn care business), and if they could clean gutters. They said yes to all the projects, and we set a date for them to start. Then, they came back that same day saying they could clean the gutters and transplant the bushes (we would agree to wait and keep the original date for the paver project). Their pricing was way too high on gutter cleaning, and way too low on the pavers, but I was desperate as the gutters were full and so I told them to go ahead. They transplanted 6 hydrangeas, and broke them in doing so, and left roots exposed (did not dig deep enough holes). 3 ended up dying shortly afterward. The crew was up on the roof and appeared to be cleaning the gutters (the neighbors said they were loud, and on their cell phones most of the time). I paid them $700. for transplanting the bushes and gutter cleaning. The next day I looked at the gutters and they were full of leaves and debris. I took a picture and texted them and asked if they could come back and clean them. After hearing nothing, I hired another person (less money) who came the next day and said the gutters at the top of the house were full, and showed me the bucket full of leaves and debris he just cleaned out of them. He also cleaned stuff out of all the other gutters that E & L had neglected to clean. I then asked E & L for at least part of the money back ($300), and cancelled the paver project. I have never gotten the money back, and have had to deal with replacing 3 bushes and the extra cost of getting the gutters clean.

I am disappointed by this company. They installed 6 ornamental grass plants in my yard, 3 of which never grew and were actually dead. I notified the salesman and was told they were covered and would be replaced, He was very apologetic. I didn't realize that he had no intention of replacing the plants until 7 weeks later and multiple emails asking for assistance that I still have 3 big holes in my yard. I will never contact this company again and I will be telling everyone I know how I was treated.

We contracted E&L to clean up our beds: remove shrubs, edge beds, and mulch. The guys did great work for a fair price. They busted their hump for two days making things look awesome and went out of their way to do a few extra areas. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Just wanted to drop a note to say how very pleased I am with the way my yard looks, it's fantastic, the best on the street! The crew that did the work were very courteous and professional and they worked quite hard and achieved some excellent results! I'm very pleased with your company and I look forward to working with you again in the future, when I have more landscaping needs, thanks again to everyone!

I contracted E & L Lawn Care to do a landscape job that included planting 8 trees on my property. The trees were installed in the wrong places not as Mr. Edwards and I had agreed upon. Mr. Edwards came out the next morning and replanted the trees in the proper locations. I was told that all of the plants had a one year warranty. One of the trees quickly died. Around 9/17/2013 Mr. Edwards came and replaced the tree very promptly and reassured me that the trees had a one year warranty. I have since had an additional tree die and no matter my efforts it seems as if two more are slowing dying. Mr. Edwards has not returned by attempts to contact him and rectify the situation. I paid an agreed upon price for good and services that included a warranty that was told to me by Mr. Edwards and at this time he will not honor his word.

Loyalty, is a human quality to be sure, I, however, know a business that has that quality, too: E & L Lawn Care of Columbus, Ohio.

I have been with E & L for over 7 years and they have never let me down. In the Spring and Summer the E & L Crews come to my home weekly to mow, edge, and clear my patio, walkways, flower beds, and driveway of grass clippings. If clumps of grass are left on the lawn after mowing, those are power blown away also. My lawn has the professional, manicured look I desire.

In the Autumn, my leaves are gathered and hauled away flawlessly. There's not a leaf, branch or twig left on my lawn or in my landscaping to rot and cause bare spots next Spring.

In the Winter, my walkways and driveway are cleared of ice and snow. If a storm is particularly bad, it is nothing to see the E & L Crew out clearing driveways and sidewalks at midnight, or one or two in the morning so the client is safely able to navigate out of the garage to get on his way to job. That's loyalty!

E & L is a large business with many, many clients; nevertheless, they operate as if they are a small, mom and pop organization making sure the client for whom they are working is treated like a close, personal friend. The business is loyal to its clients...isn't that refreshing.

Jay Edwards (owner) collected money from me for a power wash and sealing job. He only did the power wash and disappeared. Jay will not return numerous emails, phone calls and texts over the last 3 months. E&L lawn care did some great paver work for me on a prior job. Jay seemed like such a nice and honest guy. Look out for him!!

Their website claimed they are BBB accredited with rating A but matter of fact they are not BBB accredited at all. Address is fake and no one knows E &L lawn care at given address. Stopped the patio work without any communication and stop accepting calls. Poor response over the call and text. At the end disputed the transaction from the bank to get money back.

Jay and his company have been taking care of our lawn care, landscape and snow removal now for over 3 years. We are pleased with the attention to detail and care he has given us in all aspects of the service he has provided us. The fall and spring cleanup really help getting the yard ready for the season. I highly recommend Jay and E and L Lawncare for any of your landscape needs.

This company is awesome! If you want quality at an affordable price, then by all means go with E and L Lawn Care. They installed pavers in my patio for under a $1,000! You can't beat that price. Most landscaping companies want to do work for a minimum of $2,500. I had pavers installed for 80 square feet and I paid less than a $1,000. E and L Lawn Care did an amazing job!

We contracted Jay and the crew to install a paver patio behind our House Although they attempted to do the install in early January, the weather did not cooperate. Needless to say, the patio is now done and absolutely beautiful. Jay exceeded our expectations. We look to have a fun filled summer and fall spending time on the patio and sitting around the fire pit

Great job guys. Would recommend this company to others. We will be having them out to install a bed wall and landscaping around the patio later in the year

Wonderful customer service. The staff were very professional and extremely neat with their work. My yard needed TLC and they truly gave it more than that. What a big difference from previous experiences with other companies. I definitely will continue using this company. Best of all they are specialized in other skills of landscaping most don't do.

Don't waste your money. I chose to pay this company a premium to do my edging and mulching because my normal person couldn't do it in my time frame this year due to a staffing shortage and this company said they could complete it that week. After paying them upon completion, we found two beds facing the neighbors that were not finished and one entire bed was missed along the back of the house. I called the foreman Taylor within minutes of his leaving, voicemail not set up, I texted with no reply. Two days later I call him again and he answers and apologizes, he saw my text but had been busy. Will be out in a couple days to finish. The week came and went with no show and no communication. I finally call the owner of the company who doesn't answer either but texts me back and states Taylor will be out to finish the job and I should contact the owner back after Taylor takes care of it. The next day Taylor calls and apologizes, provides some excuses and tells me he will be out Weds., now 2 weeks since I hired them. No one ever showed that week either so I sent the owner back a message letting him know that Taylor had still not shown up to complete the job. 4 days later no reply from the owner. I bought my own mulch and finished the job myself this weekend. They have zero customer service and I am shocked they are still in business. DON'T DO IT TO YOURSELF, HIRE ANYONE ELSE!

My husband and I are so pleased with the work done to our yard last week! It turned out better than we had envisioned. Many thanks to all the guys who worked hard to make it look great; everyone was very friendly and accommodating to last minute requests. Great interaction with Jay and Ryan, and Lee who called to check to see how things were going. We'd definitely call E & L for future landscaping needs!

I reached out to E&L Lawn Care after getting several referrals and hearing great things about their quality of work and fair pricing. I called and spoke to Jay Edwards who was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. I told him what I was looking for and he came out and went over the edging, mulching
and pruning that I wanted done and took the time to answer all of my questions. Due to my comfort level with Jay, we decided to use E&L and I am glad we did. I have used several other companies in the past who charged more money and the work was subpar at best and E&L did an excellent job and exceeded my expectations. Since the first job, we have had them out several more times and found them to be transparent with their pricing and consistent in their quality of work.

I am not one to write reviews but felt compelled to share my experience with E&L Lawn Care as you will not find a more reputable company who does superior work at a reasonable price!

We hired E&L to do a spring cleanup and then the weekly/biweekly mowing. They did do a great job on the cleanup and mulching; so much so I actually paid them more than the agreed-upon amount. However, they completely dropped the ball on the mowing. They never returned. I have sent numerous texts wondering about when the mowing will get done. I got one text assuring me that we were on the schedule but it has been 3 weeks since the cleanup, our grass is a foot long and they are not responding. How do you run a business without responding to customers? I would never recommend them.

The free estimates are a welcomed service in this economy. The work ethic, the professionalism and quality of service provided matches well with the price. I'd not hesitate to contact them for potential work.
