If you want it done right, Pitzer's Landscaping is the company to hire. We needed our backyard regraded to solve a problem with standing water and uneveness of the ground. We met with Norm and it was quickly apparent that he knew exactly how to do the job right and he was able to get the job done very quickly. Now, several weeks later our new yard is looking great and a heavy rain has shown us that the drainage problem has been solved. We couldn't be happier with the process or the outcome - enthusiastically recommended!

Had a great experience with Norm and his company! My lawn, after 20 years, had been eroding and looked awful. Norm put quality topsoil over the entire yard to bring it back up to a normal grade and seeded it...all in half a day. He was very helpful with explaining exactly what he was doing and why. He also gave us a detailed list of the maintenance we needed to do to help the lawn grow and followed up with phone calls as reminders.

I have a 100 year old house, so I also have a 100 year old lawn.
I've maintained it for the last 30 years, but lately it was just not doing well.
I tried filling in areas with topsoil and seeding, but it just would not take.
It needed a major overhaul, so I started calling for estimates.
Most contractors told me what they were going to do, which involved killing everything and putting in one type of grass.
I enjoy the violets, plantain, wild strawberry and everything else in addition to the grass, so I mentioned was concerned about keeping these.
I was basically told by everyone that they didn't work that way, and that I'd get things the way they wanted.
Norm Pitzer was the only contractor who actually listened to what I wanted.
He worked things out to where about 70% of the original plants would come through.
He and his crew got things done quickly, covering the yard with the planting mix, then seeding over top.
Norm left complete instructions, and even a sprinkler.
This really shows how he was thinking about what I needed before I even knew I needed it.
A month later, the yard looks great. The new grass has taken, and true to his word, all the other plants came through, looking bigger and better than ever.
This also included the dandylions, but one good weeding session took care of them.
The only downside is now I have more grass to cut, Ha-Ha.
I would not hesitate to recommend Norm to anyone interested in improving their lawn and landscaping.

Pitzer's did an excellent job on our backyard. We have tried several different ways to get better grass coverage and none worked. Norm was very straight forward and factual about what was needed. He got us on the schedule quickly and executed the job well. They placed down new top soil and heavily seeded the entire yard as well as a trouble area in the side yard. Everything came in great and he supported us by throwing down additional seed as needed. We would definitely recommend Pitzer's Landscaping.

I reached out to Pitzer Landscaping for an estimate on a full front lawn and flower bed installation on my 65 year old home. Previously there was a very large Silver maple tree in the front yard that literally ruined everything as I felt hopeless for ever having a beautiful level yard because of all the damage the huge tree had caused over the years. I had the tree removed a year before I contacted Norm to see what he thought about transforming the huge mess that I had on my hands as the root system had invaded the entire area. After his consultation I decided to go with his plan and Norm along with his crew started on what I thought was almost an impossibility of the transformation. After several days of work the new yard and flower beds were installed and the entire property looked completely different from a week ago. More than anything was his attention to detail on all aspects especially not any running heavy equipment on the new driveway to keep from cracking. After the installation was finished Norm gave me very detailed instructions on watering the entire area and his follow up included several phone calls to make sure I was doing my part to get the grass to come up in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Pitzer Landscaping if you want it done right the first time. No short cuts were taken and only quality products were professionally installed. 10 out of 10!

We had a wonderful experience with Norm and his team. Pitzer’s was one of the few companies that responded in a timely fashion to our call (we are finding that’s a rarity!) and scheduled the work very shortly after. We were impressed with the professionalism & quality of work as well as the speediness. Norm assured us prior to and during that he would not ruin our yard and he was accurate. All dirt laid to properly grade our yard was done by hand! We had most of our yard covered with new dirt and Norm and his team did a fantastic job on the initial laying of dirt and seed. He also came back several weeks later to check on how the new grass was coming in, and laid more seed in the places that needed it. It was above and beyond! We highly recommend!

We needed some grading, filling, and new grass after some utility work that left our yard a mess. We reached out to Pitzers after reading their reviews and I’m glad we did. Norm was responsive and did a great job. Communication was great and for what we needed, his pricing was very reasonable! Our yard is smaller, but they were very quick and thorough as they worked. Would definitely use them again!

Norm Pitzer did a great job with our project. Our yard had cratered in spots after a tree removal with roots decaying over time. We assumed it probably had to be torn up, but Norm had a much simpler solution and put down new dirt and seed. It's been about 6 weeks now and the yard is looking great again. But he also went above and beyond and recommened we get our front walkway leveled before he started as this would provide an even better grading. And he gave us the name of the concrete company to do it and they were also great and did it for quite a bit less than I would have expected. Thanks Norm!

The best landscaping company I have ever worked with. Norm and his crew did a great job. They really cleaned up the beds around my house and left it looking great.

Norm did a great job regrading my entire yard. He was responsive, worked hard to get the job done quickly. He built up soil levels around my house, graded it out, mulched, built a retaining wall around my patio and placed a ton of river rock. He even dealt with my nosy neighbors in a professional manner. Norm and his crew did outstanding work for us! We bought our house a little over a year ago, and the flippers left the outside to get overgrown. We did our best to rip things out on our own, but needed professionals to set us up for success to maintain a rather large front yard landscape area. Norm ended up grading and seeding our front lawn, establishing a new landscaping line, bringing in flat rock to match what was already at the house, placing a river rock bed, planting 4 box hedges, 4 hydrangeas, and a dogwood tree. A huge amount of work that they finished in just a few days, and for a reasonable price! Norm is responsive, communicative, and all around a great guy to work with. We'll be calling him soon to work on our side and back yards!

Our work: A few years ago we had a 100+ year old oak tree removed and our whole lawn was wrecked. Norm and his team came in and put down the best soil and the the best sod. Norm even leveled out the lawn to help with drainage away from the house.
We have called Norm to ask for lawn upkeep advice and he is always happy to help and he's given us great advice.

I highly recommend Pitzer's Landscaping for grading, seeding and fertilization. Norm was prompt when he came to give me an estimate and explained thoroughly the work that needed to be done and it was extensive due to a poor job done by another contractor. Time was of the essence since winter weather was fast approaching and Norm squeezed me into his schedule. He and his crew arrived on time and began work right away. The job they did was amazing and he did not require or accept any payment until the work was completed to my satisfaction. I would not hesitate to hire or recommend Pitzer's Landscaping to anyone.
