I have used James in the past and will again in the future as needed. This time they responded to my request and got it done less than 24 hours! Worth every cent in my book for what I wanted done.

I have a huge Birch tree in the front of my house. It was getting out of hand with some of it leaning against the house and leaving a green mold on the siding on the 2nd floor. The trimmer did an excellent job and I can't wait until it starts blooming again. They removed and cleaned the yard of all branches. I highly recommend James Tree Service.

I would highly recommend James Tree Service! They are the best tree service in Delaware, Ohio. They helped us remove a tree at my father's place and made the entire process really easy for us. I thought it was going to be difficult but they knocked it out without any problems.

James Tree Service did an amazing job trimming back an overgrown tree in my front yard. They were very professional and courteous. The tree looks great and they cleaned everything up.

This was my first bad experience with a contractor in the Powell/Delaware area.
Similar to a previous post, they missed several big branches and have been non responsive on finishing the job.
There also was poor communication on exactly what they would do. We were under the impression that they would stack the wood in the wood pile (the wood pile was right beside the tree) or stack the wood. Neighbors who have used them had their wood stacked. They cut the tree, didn’t move any branch, and left 15-20 foot limbs that still need cut.
They have been unresponsive to calls and texts to finish the job. They answered the first call and said they will make it right and have not replied to any text/call since. We just hired another company to come finish their job.

It is very rare for us to have a negative experience with a contractor, and I hope others don’t have a similar experience.
In response to below, we did not receive a written estimate and were told the tree would chopped, stacked, but no stump removal.

I tried to use this company to remove a tree. I was told it would be 2 weeks. When I called after 2 1/2 weeks, I was told it would be 4 weeks. After another 2 weeks, I called and explained that I was having my house painted and needed the tree taken down. He agreed, and said they would get out to my house soon. I called 3 more times and was told they would be out “this week.” They never showed. I called another company and they removed it in one day. If my job was too small to have any sense of priority, I wish they would have just told me so, instead of acting like they were interested.

James Tree Service came out to remove part of our tree that damaged in a storm. The tree was damaged on Friday afternoon and they had it fixed by Monday morning. They are very reasonably priced and great to work with. I was very pleased with the service we received :)

I recently had a huge tree limb fall onto the roof of my house. Owen James sent a crew out ahead of other jobs he had because of the seriousness of my situation. They quickly took care of the problem without further damage to my house. When they left the site was clean and looked great. I have used Owens Tree Service several times over the years and the results are always the same, the prices are fair and the work is exceptional.

I had the same experience as another review did. Got a quote and a time and then nothing. Only communication I got from them was approaching someone doing work for my neighbor. I asked him who he was with to get a quote, and it turns out he was with this company. He said it was due to rain which was understandable. Here we are months later they won't answer emails or calls. Truly unprofessional company, it is sad I have to catch a employee off guard to get any kind of info and communication which still ended up being bs. To anyone thinking about using them, good luck.

If you can’t even return a call, god only knows what other issues I may have run into. I’m actually happy cuz I learned the easy way before I paid for services.

I have used James Tree Service for large tree removal and tree trimming on three different occasions. Each time I have been pleased with the job they have done. They are efficient, careful, and clean up the area well. They do an excellent job at a reasonable price and I highly recommend their work.

I had a tree that was struck by lightning. Almost half of the tree had come down in the storm. Needed to get the rest of the tree down and everything removed. Received quotes from three different companies. James' Tree Service was $200 cheaper than one quote and $175 cheaper than the other quote. They completed the work quickly, and they did an excellent job on clean up. Even one of my neighbors commented that the tree service had done a great job.

James Tree Service did work for my neighbor. They left a large rut in my yard and after many phone conversations over several weeks (now months) they stopped answering. They claimed they didn't take their truck back so they would not repair, even with my security cam proof.

Called at 8:30 about grinding a stump. They were at the house by 9:00. Job was done before 9:30. Price was very fair. Very pleased with them!

Sent James Tree Service a few pictures of what I needed done. Quoted and work was done within a few days of the quote. Nice job on cleanup and made quick work of 2 trees. One was angled towards our home, not only did he avoid our home, he also avoided our garden! Very happy with the work completed.

Just left Mr. Monty, I bought seasoned hardwood firewood from him and I have to say it is by far the best wood I have ever purchased. Great guy, very professional.

Great results, fast turnaround time, and a great price. I had two trees over 35 feet tall located close to the house, and they handled the removal with skill and care. They also ground the stumps and made sure everything was done safely around the house.

They were very easy to work with, punctual, and even took care of a couple of extra stumps they found on the day of the job at no hassle.
