Reviews of local pros in Galena, Ohio

We live on a river lot, Bob Blackford created a perfect design and and structured a difficult sloped area with steps and a landing for us. The area floods each year for a few days which would compromise the structure of the area if it had not been done correctly. We are pleased that after 14 years this area is sturdy, safe and attractive. We have been very happy with Bob's work.

Blackford Landscape Design landscaped and hardscaped our yard when we built our house. Bob did a fantastic job and we are very pleased with the results. He allowed us to be involved in selection and placement of plants, shrubs and trees.

Bob Blackford and his crew completed a new garden courtyard for our front door entry area. An amazing 3D design was provided to offer a better visual understanding on the project, prior to implementation. The finished landscape was beautiful and looked just like the design. We are delighted with our new landscaped entry way. Very welcoming! We had a first class experience with the Blackford landscape company!

We recently hired Blackford Landscape Design to design and renovate our front yard. Bob was wonderful to work with. He listened to our vision and gave helpful feedback in a friendly and professional manor. His design and execution was done with excellence, and we would highly recommend using Blackford Landscape Design for your next landscaping project!

My wife and I used Blackford Landscape Design to design two patios, landscaping for our front walk, and a stone stairway to connect the upper and lower areas of our back yard. They also helped us choose plants, materials, installed our beautiful stone stairs, and planted some large trees for us.

Great company! Matt was a professional when he came out to give me my very fair quote. The work they did was amazing and overyone on the crew was very professional

Their design expertise made it easy to bring our vision to life and the execution of construction was timely, organized and on schedule. My front and back yard were in dire need of a facelift!! I had no idea where to begin, after contacting SunScapes I was given a quote and several different options for new landscape design. I wasn’t sold which is a pet peeve of mine, I was shown a rendered design!! I am a visual person and was so happy with the outcome. Thank you to the team and for there patience with my many questions. As a new homeowner I was very enthusiastic to redo my landscaping. I have had several inquiries from neighbors and friends complementing my landscaping. I am so pleased with the outcome. Thank you SunScapes for making my yard come alive. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 10/10!!!

Sunscapes did a beautiful job on my yard. My first meeting with Taylor, who did my estimate, was very thorough and he took his time to listen to what I wanted done. The crew, Berry, Dawson and Nate, arrived on time and worked so hard throughout the day, nonstop. They went above and beyond and they cleaned everything up and left me with a beautifully landscaped yard. I would highly recommend this company as they are very professional and get back to you right away.

Did a great job installing our gazebo! Can’t wait to have them out for spring clean up!

They communicated well, completed the job quickly and effectively. The flower beds look wonderful again. We got lucky between receiving our quote and them showing up to complete the job as we only had to wait about a week. Very satisfied with the results.

Matt and team did a fantastic job! They were able to utilize some existing shrubs and flowers and rebalance our flower beds while adding in new plants for texture, height, and pops of color. The result is stunning!! 100% recommend!

My last experience with a landscaper was horrible. But SunScapes renewed my faith in them. Can’t say enough wonderful things. They were professional, so nice to work with. Matt went above and beyond to find what I was looking for and was so easy to work with. Constantly stayed in touch and kept me updated. The workers did an amazing job and cleaned up everything. I highly recommend SunScapes for anyone looking to work with a great group of professionals.

From the start Sunscapes was great . On time , very communicative and the result is awesome .

The Sunscapes team was very attentive to our detailed needs. We told them exactly what we wanted and they delivered! We did our due diligence to shop around and they also have very competitive pricing. Im a firm believer in the lowest price is not always the best value. They provided a great price with a finished product that exceeded our expectations. If you’re in the market for landscaping, hardscaping, or any outdoor project I would highly recommend them!

Awesome group with huge talent! I worked with Matt on my project and he was superb to deal with. Very responsive and easy to work with. Our project turned out great and I will definitely be calling them for future projects

Sunscapes did an excellent job on a major landscaping project on our property. The project included installing drainage culvert tubes, building stacked stone surrounds at the tube openings, replacing a flagstone overgrown creek bed with a stable river rock bed designed to handle occasional heavy rain flow, backfilling torn up areas with topsoil and seeding all areas with grass seed. Matt listened carefully to our vision for the yard, applied his innovative design skills, and prepared a very detailed itemized quote for all aspects of the project. He and his team always kept us aware of the work schedule and were diligent in getting the job done.

Matt worked with me from the design to the final install. The entire process went smooth.

I had a large tree fall unexpectedly, and this company came out right away. They were professional, fast, and did an excellent job cleaning everything up. They made a stressful situation so much easier and left the yard looking even better than before. Highly recommend for any tree or landscaping needs!

Sunscapes did a great job demolishing old landscaping and working with us on a new plan. It looks great. I have included a before picture and the plan for new landscaping.
