Company came out and told me a huge maple in my backyard could be saved and told me to put over 700 dollars worth of nutrients into the tree to save it. Came out and put something in my tree. Two days later the ant and termite problem were worse and we had mold growing at the foot of the tree. Called the company with promises for someone to call me back no response, then I get an invoice charging me for work they never completed. Called 2 other tree companies they have both came out and told me the tree is not structurally safe and needs to be removed. Hendels tries to rip people off and never call back with issues unless you owe them money, horrible owner too!

Ruined my yard, destroyed my property including a section of fence, Illegally trespassed and promised to repair over a month ago. The Sad thing about it is... They weren't working in my yard, they were working in my neighbors yard. They are unprofessional, even after knowing I'm selling my home, there was absolutely no urgency on their part to correct the problem. In my "opinion" your taking a chance with this tree service. Still waiting on repairs, legal action is on the horizon. Hopefully this is resolved by end of day Monday 17th of June "hint"!!!! I hope they read their reviews. This is unfortunate. If there was a "negative star" they would get a -5 out of -5

Excellent service and very knowledgeable and experienced staff. Highly recommended for all tree care and landscaping. Just finished landscaping project with river rock. Turned out fantastic. Extensive tree work done last Fall.

This company was very professional and provided me great service. They did explain to me that it would be a little longer then expected because of the rain. They wanted to be respectful and cautious with the ground being wet and didnt want to destroy my families yard. They were also referred to me by my neighbor. Reasonable pricing. I had several other quotes and since the tree was very largeI had to make sure to see if the company is fully insured. I didn't want that large tree to fall on my house. I made the decision not to go with the cheapest quote for the reasoning for not being insured. In my opinion it's not all about pricing but the quality of the service. I've noticed a few bad reviews in Google but I'm also a small business owner and under stand it has a few complaints but for every one unsatisfied customer you have 99 customers who are happy. Hendel's I will be using you this fall to plant a few more trees on my property.

I would not suggest using this company for business. I emailed simply for a quote via email and someone showed up to my house unannounced today. We chatted about the poison ivy in our yard. After he went on about burning it and spraying roundup, I said we don’t use toxic chemicals in our yard/home. I went inside and he spoke with my husband and asked when my work hours are so that he could come and spray roundup when I’m not here so that I would be tricked into thinking that the non toxic attempts were working. Then asked my husband for his contact information so that he wouldn’t have to go through me. Please don’t use this company. Support someone else who is kind and respectful to you and your requests (and your marriage for that matter).

So far, I would give a 0 if I could. I called them 02/18/18 to get a quote and they came out 02/23/18 and quoted me $300+ for stump removal. I let them know to go ahead and take the stump. It is 03/23/18 and I've contacted them 3 times asking when they would be out and they always tell me Friday and then call to reschedule for the following Monday. Today (03/23/18) I get a call they'd be out to FINALLY do my tree and it's 4p and they still have yet to come get my tree out. I called and got the call center who was no help and said they'd put a phone note to the office and they'd call me back. I've never been so dissatisfied in a company in my life.
I don't know of any other tree services or I wouldn't be going with them at all. Brown's said they couldn't do my services for me. UGH.

Excellent service last year when they removed seven large trees from my yard. Diligent hard workers. Just called them back to do more work. Highly recommend

I purchased a stack of season firewood last fall and it worked out great.

It took them three months to complete the job and they charged me for service that they did not do. A storm damaged a large Pine tree next to my house and we were afraid another would knock the tree on to the house. They came out to cut that tree plus another eyesore tree. We paid for the trees to be cut and stumps ground. I said I would clean up the grindings myself in order to save myself $100, they still charged me though. Due to weather and illness, I was unable to clean up until a couple weeks later. While cleaning up the grindings, I noticed the stumps were not completely ground down. My wife and I called multiple times asking to have the job finished and to refund the $100. Finally, today they came to finish the job which is over 3 months later. I still do not have the $100 back. I will never do business with them again.

Also, they are rude. One 'manager' flat out told my wife never to call/contact him again. I did manage to get the owners cell number and when I called, he laughed and said "oh, you're the guy with the wife that has called us 35 times or more!" So rude. I would love to hand out that cell number to anyone wanting it.

DO NOT USE THEM - EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL & NO RESPECT FOR YOUR PROPERTY. I had to give them 1 star to post but they would not get anything from me. The owner would not set an appointment with us to do the estimate, just showed up, we have many trees in the yard so not sure how he knew which ones we wanted taken down. We called him because he left the estimate in our door jam and asked him to return by appointment so he had the correct trees down. He came without calling but I had the trees marked so he knew. Told us in about 30 days they would do the work, about a week later our neighbor calls us to tell us someone is at our house cutting one of the trees down. They don't finish the job, still need to cut 2 more trees down. We contact them, told us they ran out of time. We get a text at 8:45am 2 weeks later on a Friday that they are going to cut the trees down that day. My wife gets home and our yard is destroyed, and they ruined our 135 year old slate stone walkway ( we were told they would avoid it and use ply wood under their equipment - did not do this). We called the owner and even sent pictures of the destruction - told us he would come over early the next week to see the damage - told us he would make it right. He once again showed up unannounced on Thursday and left a note in the door jam to call him. The owner does not know how to communicate and runs a very unprofessional business on top of not following through with the work in how it was supposed to be done so our yard would not be damaged.

Do NOT recommend! Needed a tree cut down and we were NOT notified in advance they were coming so I was not home. They called to see what tree to cut as the owner did not mark the tree in advance. I show up a few hours later and they were cutting the WRONG tree. He then proceeds to do the correct tree after the wrong one, but without piecing it out like he was supposed to, so he butchered a 3rd tree. And to top it off the owner tried to blame me, saying I told the foreman the wrong tree. The foreman admitted when he was here he didn't even look at the contract on what type of tree, the two trees were not the same!

I had firewood delivered. Great service, it was quick and easy. I highly recommend!

Took about a day and a half to get 8 trees out of some pretty difficult terrain. Came back and ground the stumps. They did an excellent job clearing out the backyard so I can get my garden going. Thanks Jared.

Saw Hendels Tree backed in my driveway working over my RV, trimming my neighbors tree. Called Hendels to get their workers off my property. Their owner (maybe due to cowardice) would not return my calls. Sent a family member over to tell them to leave my property, workers got hostile and combative to the point where the Sheriff got called. Still no call back from Hendels. If you're looking for a quality tree company, that will make it right if things go wrong, look elsewhere. Hendels, do better.

I hired them to cut a tree down and that they had to call me ahead of time and don’t come on my property without notifying me. Ran some errands one day and came home to find them cutting the tree with no notice. They had to call my salesman to find out which tree to cut?! They left limbs and debris all over backyard and when moving tree parts to front yard took out part of one of my big flowering bushes and now the bush is dying. The female in the office overcharged me state tax and I notified the owner. They’ve never returned my money. She tried to bill me for landscaping in 2023 for 2024 work! I hired them 8 months in advance for landscaping this June and they never showed after I gave them a reminder a month in advance.

Hi! I'm sending a message because my family was taken advantage. Me and my family live in a farmhouse and our main source of heat is a wood burning fireplace. My significant other usually cuts down our trees for wood, but he had surgery in so he was not able finish replenishing our wood for the winter. We reached out to Handel's Tree Care and Landscape to buy wood. The wood was delivered to our house on Friday. We tried to burn the wood Saturday and Sunday and the wood would not burn. Today, I called and spoke to the the owner J and explained the problem and he said he has sold 50,000 cords and has never gotten a complaint. I told him I don't know about everyone else but our wood is not burning. I asked that he come get the wood and return our money so we could go get wood frome someone. He told me no. He then said he would give us a free cord, but we would have to pick it up. I told him we did not have a truck and he told me "suggest you go buy one." That is a direct quote. I asked several more times to deliver or come pick up the wood and return the money. He told me the conversation was over and hung up. I tried to call back, but he had blocked me. My significant other called back. J answered the phone with "what? I'm watching the game." Then my SO tried to explain again and again told by J that he was watching the game then J ended the call and blocked my SO number as well. Our family was taken advantage of and now we are out $200 plus dollars and no wood to burn.

We had a large tree removed in our backyard. Service was excellent! Price we feel was very reasonable and great job cleaning up. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend.

Do not use Hendel’s for any services. I had 4 trees they were marked for removal and Billy knocked on the front door saying they removed the wrong tree in my yard. The tree was a 30ft pine tree. All that Billy and his crew could say was sorry. They also damaged my neighbors fence. Billy and his crew were unprofessional and rude. When contacting Jody, she was super nice and understanding. All that Jared (the owner) could do was plant an immature tree and take $100 off. Once tree was planted Jared called me stating I was playing “games” and being unprofessional. I have voicemail to prove. They also never called to schedule an appointment or any reason. They just showed up. Do not recommend this company for any reason. Very rude

HENDELS does an awesome job. They are very professional and reasonable. I was lucky enough to meet the owner who is very honest caring and professional. He cares about his customers and that's saying a lot these days. They will be my first and only choice when I need his service again. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME

Custoner service is Friendly, professional, patient and always he goes above and beyond to provide excellent service.
Jared we will be back for more wood and getting mulch delivered in the spring as well.
