Mold medics came to our house in holland for an air duct cleaning. Connor and Patrick came to do it, and did a really good job. I highly recommend.

We HIGHLY recommend Mold Medics out of Toledo, OH, for all your mold remediation needs. After getting knee deep into remodeling at our new house, we found extensive mold - which seems to have resulted from a few different things:

1.) When the home was built, all the exterior walls of the house were wrapped in plastic vapor barrier which didn’t allow proper breathing for the insulation or walls.

2.) The HVAC system did not have a fan installed to help circulate and blow air to the second level. And the AC unit was too small for the house.

3.) The home had a tree that came through it march 2024, and the insurance company wouldn’t allow the house to be gutted completely to check for hidden water damage or shifting.

4.) The master bathroom fan was not properly vented outside of the house and for years was blowing into the attic creating the perfect environment for mold to flourish.

Ashley was AMAZING to work with. I called on a Monday. She came out the next day to inspect and the following Monday, she, Patrick and Conner were on the scene doing a full-blown remediation. Based on her inspection and recommendations, we decided to completely gut the main floor house to remove all the vapor barrier to prevent this from being an issue again. We were able to remove almost all the insulation and vapor barrier by going behind the walls in the attic. We gutted the bathroom where the fan was installed properly and removed an extremely moldy OSB/wood etc to be safe. In a lot of areas, the house was down to the studs and ready for them to do their thing.

They went above and beyond to make sure no stone was left unturned - as we had demoed much of the house and exposed all of the house to mold spores. She took my concerns seriously, especially since our oldest child had cancer at 18 months old and was honest with us. She gave us all the options and said they’d work with whatever we wanted to do. We wanted a post-remediation air test to assure things were handled correctly. Ashley said she would prefer a 3rd party do the post-remediation testing to assure there is no bias. This spoke very highly of her integrity and how the company wants to do things correctly.

We did do a post remediation air test with a home inspector and it came back with some Penicillium/Aspergillus present on all floors verses just one and in higher counts on the floor it was originally noted on. With our oldest having childhood cancer we had concerns as those molds, along with Stachybotrys - are molds you don’t want present - period. The rest of the molds tend to be more airborne/natural molds and aren’t as alarming. Ashley listened to my concerns and understood where I was coming from and came back to do a second electrostatic, and spray treatment, at no charge, to ease our worries. She reassured us that we have done all the right steps to fix the problems that led to the mold in the first place, and we were going above and beyond in correcting the issue.

The whole crew seems to value what they do and truly want to make a difference in the lives of those they have to help with mold. They have helped us gain back our peace of mind that our home is safe and healthy. Without a doubt, I’ll recommend Ashely, Conner and Patrick to anyone who is in need of mold remediation services.

We contacted Mold Medics after a water mitigation company failed to properly handle water damage. We needed a neutral third party to advise on a growing smell. Ashley was timely, prompt and professional. She visually confirmed mold growth and then verified it with mold testing. With her expertise, we were able to treat the area and then properly fix the ceiling that had water. We can’t thank Mold Medics enough for confirming and treating our mold issue.

I had a smaller mold issue in my RV after a roof leak. After calling some “competitors” I was told the job was too small and couldn’t find anyone to help. Called Mold Medics and spoke with Ashley. She was very friendly and helpful on the phone and tried her best to help me out. She got me in the next day to take a look at it. Her and Kobe took care of the issue right there and then in the parking lot! Very knowledgeable and caring and worked with me on the price. We had Ryan and Connor come for mold remediation in our attic, they were super nice and fun to speak with. They were very knowledgeable about our issue, they were timely, and worked hard for us. Price was fair. Ashley was our sales rep, nice lady, also knowledgeable and timely. They have assured us the problem is handled.

Ashley did a great job surveying, quoting, and explaining the process. The two guys (Connor and I'm sorry but cannot remember the second gentleman) that came to do the work were prompt, polite, and took the care and time to answer questions and thoroughly explain everything. I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the Mold Medics team. We noticed a lot of mold growth in the attic of our first home. Ashley came out to inspect and she explained exactly how the mold growth happened (previous owners installed insulation incorrectly), what’s needed to remediate, and how to prevent more growth in the future. She broke down the services needed and worked with us on what could be done professionally vs. DIY, while still maintaining safety. Connor and Imoni were right on time for our remediation appointment and by that afternoon, our attic was mold free! We had such a great experience with Mold Medics! The project was a lot, and they were able to clear it out with ease. During the remediation, there was a mishap with the toilet breaking, but they replaced it entirely which was a blessing in disguise! On top of remediation, we got duct cleaning which was also done by VERY nice workers, and with even more ease than the first visit! Very thankful for such a great experience with a top tier company, and great service.
