Electrical reviews in Kent, Ohio

Ott electric installed a in the wall heater in our downstairs bathroom. The technician did a very good job in a timely manner. We are very pleased with there work and would use them again

I have used Ott electric for 12 years. I am so very pleased by their prompt service, reasonable prices, courtesy and customer support. I recommend them to everyone!

Called ott to come out to replace 2 bathroom exhaust fans. Already existing ones were old but still functional but we wanted new ones and quieter fans. We purchased two different fan options from home depot that we had ready at the house. Ott sent out two guys, one was am apprentice type younger guy and one more experienced. They looked in our bathrooms and at the fans and even checked our attic for proper venting (which both were..house is from 2009 so it's relatively updated). They came back with a quote for....and I'm NOT kidding...$1200. I almost fell over. The guy tried to tell me that it can be SO complicated and that it was going to take him and the assistant almost 4 hours! I kindly sent him on his way without employing their services to say the least. Asking around two replacement fans should not take more than maybe 2 hours max. These guys were trying to rip me off. Not sure if it was because I was a woman alone? Or if they are just crooks. I will never call them again after that experience. I called Speelman out today and the guy replace BOTH fans and looked at a possible new outlet I was inquiring about in 1 hour and 15 min with ZERO issues and at less than 1/4 of the price that ott gave. Ott you need to get your act together.

Ott Electrical Services has completed 3 smaller jobs for me. Scope of work is well defined up front. The work was completed timely and well.
I will use their services again.

Joe and the team at OTT get the job done. I've recently started a new garage build to include moving existing utilities underground. Joe and his team were on time as planned and completed the move within their ETC. Liam in the office is very thorough, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Once the garage is up, OTT will complete the build with wiring the building. Can't wait! I highly recommend OTT for your next project!

It was so easy. The repairman arrived and from the time he came inside to when the power came back on was less than five minutes. And it was right in the outlet that I was using when the power went out. Needless to say, I was very happy. The price was lower than I expected, and the whole process took less than an hour. I'm hoping not to have any further electrical problems, but if I do, it will be Ott Electric that I call. Excellent work!

I’ve hired Ott Electric twice now. Bothe times their electricians have been very professional and did excellent work on a timely basis. They made sure to keep the work areas clean and they also explained everything they did. Before they left they asked me to inspect their work and I found nothing but perfection.

We have been using Ott Electric for several years, for both interior and exterior electrical problems. Never have we been disappointed in their work. Their electricians are friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable. I highly recommend Ott Electric.

We have used Ott Electric twice in recent months. Once to replace a ceiling fan with lights, and then to replace a couple of outlets. Their pricing is very reasonable and the techs are top notch. They will continue to be our go-to company for electrical work.

Wonderful to deal with! Came in we went over all the issues they went to the truck and wrote up multiple estimates depending on if it was going to be a level 1 fix or a level 2. Reasonable pricing and knowledgeable technicians, will definitely only deal with them again if we need them.

We have had Ott Electrical to our condo twice now. Both a service call and an installation of a lighted ceiling fan ( on a cathedral ceiling). The technician Keith was extremely professional and knowledgeable about Both services. We highly recommend this company!!!

Ott Electric is a highly professional knowledgeable and reliable company. I have had major work done on an all-electric house by Ott and I am quite satisfied. The Crew is courteous and professional. I highly recommend them

We have used Ott Electrical Services several times: including adding dimmers for recessed lighting, upgrading basement outlets & replacing hardwired smoke detectors. On each occasion, they were prompt & thorough. The electrician also explained what was being done & why. We have been very happy with their work.

Excellent company! They explain everything that is needed to complete a job and give a written estimate; kind, courteous, professional. They are always on time and keep you updated throughout the process, and clean up when they are finished. They understand what customer service is all about!

These guys are excellent. We had a bigger job and they were in and out in a day. Very polite and professional. I’ll definitely be calling them again anytime I need work done.

I called Ott Electrical to troubleshoot and repair a fairly serious problem at my parents' house. Liam got us on the schedule very quickly. The crew arrived in the time period specified and got right to work. Unfortunately, after about a six-hour day they were not able to complete the diagnostics of the issue. We scheduled a second day when additional electricians could be onsite to work together. in the end they were able to find the problem and remedy it.
I have to say all of the guys that came out both times were very professional, courteous and friendly. They worked very well together and did a good job of keeping us updated as to what they were doing. Liam also did a good job of getting us on the schedule and making reminder calls as well as a follow up call which was very much appreciated.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of electrical services.
I also say the owner of the company should be proud to have such quality staff.

I've used Ott Electrical Services for three different projects now, and each time they've impressed me with their professionalism. They answer their phones right away, schedule my work quickly, and send a team that arrives on time, performs their work with great care, and leaves the job site spotless—you’d never know they were even there. If you need any kind of electrical work done, I recommend Ott Electrical for their reliable high-quality services.

I am extremely pleased with Ott Electrical Service. Ott upgraded my electrical service to 200 amp, installed a sub-panel, installed a 110 and a 220 EV charge outlet in the garage, added outdoor lighting, upgraded indoor recessed lighting, added many grounded outlets, and freshened up my 20th Century home for the 21st Century.

Joe and his team are professional grade. They were on time every day, knowledgeable, and focused on the task at hand. Throughout the process, Ott confirmed my requirements and kept me apprised of the progress they made and any issues. And they made helpful suggestions on the placement of outlets.

Ott handles curveballs well. Upon discovering home-handyman grade wiring in my basement, they replaced it with code compliant wiring. I threw a couple curves myself with additions and modifications to the original quote. Joe and his team handled the changes and completed the project on time.

I recommend Ott for all home electrical needs.

I am very happy with the service I received from Ott Electric. I had a ballast go out on an old fluorescent fixture. John T advised me on my options and I decided that the more cost effective option was to update to an LED fixture. John T made two trips to my home, but only charged for the fixture installation, which was very reasonable. John T and Keith were friendly, courteous and professional. When they finished the job they left their work area spotless. I feel that I can count on Ott Electric to provide quality service at a reasonable cost.

An electrician from Ott Electrical Services has worked in our home on several occasions. Each visit was professional, courteous, and efficient. Having had a careful look at what we had asked to be done, our electrician put together a detailed estimate of what the job would entail, what it would cost, and then proceeded to complete the task satisfactorily and without delay. We have been satisfied with the quality of work and happily endorse Ott to other residential customers for their home repairs or renovations. Cheers

Ott's electrical service is the best in my book. Courteous, and thorough. Not overly expensive and don't try to scare you into any work you don't need.
They helped me with my breaker box by going through and labeling what they could on it. It was redone by another electrician that didn't bother, fixed an old light fixture and even took the time to check out another area outside that needs attention and gave me an estimate that was more than fair.
I recently had them check out and replace a couple wall outlets that once again appears to have solved the problem. They are well worth calling if you're in need! I
