We have used Cardinal for several years for removing and trimming trees around our house. They always have done an excellent job, been on time, and do great clean up. In addition we have used them for spring clean up including backfill of dirt, edging and new mulch. The teams they send always have done great work. Their prices have been very fair as we have gotten other quotes, but we always seem to go back to Cardinal as we know we can count on them.

I recently called Cardinal Landscaping as Hurricane Helene's leftover winds were knocking down multiple trees in my Mason, Ohio yard. They were at my door by 9am the next morning and had everything cleaned up and gone within an hour. The team was highly efficient and professional - really amazing to watch. They knew their roles in the project and performed like clockwork. We had a question about a dying tree in our backyard and they took the time to discuss options with us. My neighbor saw what was going on and walked over to ask for help with a tree that had been knocked down the previous day - Cardinal was ON IT. This was the second or third time I'd called on Cardinal with landscaping issues and they were my first thought when the storm was rolling through. I can recommend them without reservation.

My experience with Cardinal was great. I have nothing bad to say. Setting up an appointment for a quote was easy and free. Setting up the appointment for the actual work was also easy. I was given a date and the team arrived as promised. The gentlemen that did the work in our yard (Which included removing 3 large maple trees, taking out the stumps, pruning another large tree and wiring 2 more trees on the property) and they were polite, professional and worked efficiently. The work they did was great and I have no complaints and relieved to have the trees gone. When receiving my invoice I spoke to Sue in the office who was very sweet. When I initially tried making my payment over the phone she gave me multiple options to try to save me a few extra bucks since, like many company's, there is a slight up charge for credit card transactions. I ended up just paying with the card anyway but sincerely appreciate the gesture. I would absolutely use Cardinal if I need any yard services in the future again and will recommend them to anyone who is looking to get work done. It was a little expensive but it is clear you are paying for quality, professional work.

Tony and his team are the best! They have taken care of my lawn service and landscaping for 6 years. My lawn is lush and weed free! Today Syi and Darryl took down my 30 yr old Arborvitae that gave privacy to my patio. It was 2 1/2 story high and 15 ft wide. I was heartbroken that it had to go, but it was old and diseased so I had no choice. Syi and Darryl Were amazingly quick With bringing it down, sending it through the chipper and cleaning up every spec. They were very respectful to the rest of my yard and also to my neighbors. I cannot thank them enough for the awesome job that they did. I recommend Cardinal Landscaping 100%.

I asked for their help getting my lawn back to grass from being covered in weeds back in June or July of 2019. We were able to get 3 applications for the year.
Our first application killed 90percent of our weeds and made our grass start to grow.
When your lawn is full of weeds, after killing them off you get bald spots.
After the third application, 50percent of the bald spots are full of lucious grass and no new weeds to take over.
Our front lawn is still green and it's January; keep in mind it's also been a warm winter.
My lawn is full and absolutely everything I could expect at this point. I can boldly predict that all the bald spots will be full of green grass and my yard will be everything I can dream of by the end of the 2020 year, because I am definitely signing up for another year of their service.
I would also like to point out that we have two dogs that spend a lot of time in the yard in the warmer days and eat the grass occasionally, so I was hesitant having a service treat my lawn. I spoke with the company before agreeing to do the service and the owner has animals of his own and treats their own lawn. They recommend keeping the animals off the lawn until the granules are absorbed which is about a day and then it's safe to let them return to the lawn. We spend one day walking our dogs and then let them back into the lawn and they are healthy without any concerns. I love my son and for babies dearly and I would not have done the service if the owner didn't put enough faith in their product to use it themselves.
I would recommend this service to anyone. Ask questions and they will answer them.
The only con to using their service is they don't have online payment. You have to call or give them a card number to keep on file. Other then that, I love this company!
I would like to point out we have also used their tree service twice, to cut down a dying/died large tree and to clear out our fence line where the trees were entangled into the old fence and they removed the fence as well for us. They are reasonable in pricing and efficient. I love all the work they have provided and we will continue to use their services for anything they provide.

So update:
It's April 2021. I still use their lawn service with fertilizer and my yard looks amazing! Besides the spot in by my flower bed that the dogs like to sunbathe in, as you can see in the picture.

I decided to have them landscape and do spring clean up with mulch. They put in some daisies and coral bells that I requested. I'm kind of a control freak when it comes to what to put in my yard. They looked at the beds and place the daisies perfectly and did a beautiful job with the bed that I was trying to establish under my maple tree. See attached photos for before and after. Again, I picked the type of plant with request of no green plants and they have a beautiful arrangement of the coral bells. It's everything I imagined. I will continue to use their service. They made a life-long customer out of me. Thank you Cardinal for meeting and exceeding my expectations.

We hired Cardinal Landscape, Tree Service to prune a large Cottonwood Tree that had some dead branches on it. Plus, Cardinal removed some ugly trees growing around our pond and at the base of the Cottonwood tree. See the before and after photos. They really cleaned up the pond area nicely. Cardinal came in at the best price among three quotes. They were professional and the easiest to deal with. The onsite crew were nice and hard working. The came exactly when they said they would and they worked through the rain. I highly recommend them.

We have had Cardinal Landscape and Tree Service perform spring cleanup, edging, and mulching of our flower beds for a few years now, and they always do a great job and at a reasonable price. (See attached photos.)

We also have Cardinal do our lawn treatments (including fertilizer, weed prevention, weed elimination, and aeration) throughout the year, and we get frequent compliments on our yard.

We have also had them trim our large trees as needed. Tony Moore, owner and certified arborist, saved our very large 40 year old oak tree a couple years ago by defining and implementing a treatment and trimming plan for it.

This was the second time we have had them do landscaping work for us and it won’t be the last. They removed 3 dead trees and over 10 stumps for a very reasonable price. They were on time, professional and did a great job. Dan came out the following day to make sure we were satisfied with the work, which we were, and to quote us on another clean up project. Wow! We rarely write reviews but this time we made an exception. Melena Landscaping recently trimmed bushes, small tress, and cleaned up and redid the mulch beds. We have very high expectations when working with contractors and Melena greatly exceeded even our expectations. Everything was done as they described with even greater focus on detail than expected. Afterwards, the crew manager wanted us to review with him the work done to make sure everything was as expected. The following day, I received an email from the owner also checking to make sure we were completely happy with the job. We rarely recommend companies but the work they did justifies our highest recommendation. Although pricing was slightly higher than others, if you want the job done to near perfection and cost is not a major consideration, I would highly recommend Melena Landscaping. And for the skeptics like myself, no we are not related to, or friends with, anyone within the company; found them through Angie’s list.

Dan is so efficient and conscientious! His workers are very hard working and do a wonderful job..Have had Dan do our landscaping for 3years and plan to continue having him do our future landscaping . Very satisfied customer!
