Met Mat before I purchased my house. He was on time, professional, and very easy to talk to. When I scheduled him for the work, he showed up on time and completed the work as agreed and to my satisfaction.

Mat and Barkley did a fantastic job with the plumbing work at my home. They are top notch plumbers that offer fair pricing. Great communication and service.

I would recommend steering clear of this company! I made an appt the day before and called at 8:00 to confirm. Later, after waiting through my whole time window, I received a voicemail that they were unable to come. When I called the company back to find out what the problem was, the woman who answers the phone was rude, unhelpful, and had no idea I had even made an appt... I asked about the voicemail I received and she said, “I don’t know- do I sound like the person who left the voicemail?” AND THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME!

Excellent customer service with immediate follow up, and competitive pricing for the job I requested. No runs, drips, or errors. Two enthusiastic thumbs up! I have called them in the past and will continue to do so. Thanks for the great service!

Literally from start to finish the most unprofessional contractor we’ve ever experienced, and we come from three generations of contractors so we’ve seen enough to know. (They were a sub, so be sure to have listed in your contract the names of every company doing any work and vet them). This was a remodel, so all we can do is hope that their smarmy awful attitudes and lazy, sloppy finish work isn’t a reflection of what’s behind the walls and under the floors. In a nutshell, we wouldn’t even have them back for warranty repairs. We’ll just hire professionals and send them the bill. Run from these people as fast as you can.

Called to re-seat a wobbly toilet and was given an appointment the next day. The actual problem was much bigger -- a broken pipe ring. Did what he could with the tools he had, and it was actually a great fix. Also replaced a sink drain that I hadn't mentioned when scheduling, but I asked him to look at when he arrived. Finished it all in 3 hours and at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend

Our realtor recommended Russell Plumbing when we bought our house 5 years ago. We have used Steve Russell multiple times and we have been very satisfied with the results.

I wish I could rate this company higher, as they are our located in our neighborhood. I've used them several times, with no good experiences (I tried to give them second, and third chances). most recently we had a leak in the kitchen sink drain, whicih I was able to stop, but it was clearly plumbed wrong by a previous plumber. I also needed 2 gas meters removed. I called Russell to re-plumb the drain and remove the gas meters. The plumber was there 15 mins, and my bill stated that he stopped the leak, parts $8, Labor $150. Unfortunately I have before and after pictures and the drain was not re-plumbed or fixed and he never even addressed the gas meter. I will have to now hire another plumber to come do the work. The office staff is not friendly at all, either. Our area must REALLY be hurting for quality plumbers if these guys can stay in business. I called the office to discuss this, and was hung up on. Renee asked "Do you live in pleasant Ridge?" and without giving me time to answer said "Figures", and hung up.

Steve, the owner, is a very good plumber and very honest and helpful. The younger plumbers who work for him are also good. We have used Russell plumbing for years.

This is our 3rd time over the past couple yrs using Russell Plumbing. Have had great service every time. This time I left VM last eve when our sump pump did not kick on during the downpour. Steve called me back this morning by 7:45am; Barklay was here within the hr. & replaced the malfunctioning part. Prompt, courteous, knowlegable. Will definitely call them again for plumbing needs!

Quick response time! Saved me in record time when I needed a new sump pump. Also were great to work with when I had a challenging repair on a hose spigot. Great people.

Wished I had read reviews! No problem getting appointment ... BUT ... worker never called before he showed up ... so he gets here unannounced and left because he didn’t think anyone was home (my 27 yr old daughter was in the basement)! He supposedly knocked and no one answered ... the guy came back, told me over the phone that it would be the same price to replace a cartridge in the faucet as it would be to replace the whole thing?!?? He said I could go out and buy a matching faucet at a later date and he’d come back to install it! ... I was charged $117.50 TWICE ($235.00) for a service call (because he left and came back 5-10 minutes later) ... $25.00 for a cartridge that drops in the faucet handle ... the bill was $260.00 for maybe 15 minutes of work ... I had my daughter pay cash for the bill ... I then called 2 separate times and left messages about the bill ... no response. About 3 weeks later, the receptionist calls and leaves a message stating our bill wasn’t paid and I now have a late fee and could I call, they’ll take my credit card payment! I immediately call back, she was curt and rude. I explained I had paid $260.00 CASH, I had called twice previously and why hadn’t she called me back and she had no answer ... I told her it was funny that you’d call me for supposedly non-payment but, you won’t call me back about the questions I have about my bill ... I said I kept a record of the times I called and she said “we keep a recorded copy of all calls and messages” ... okay! So then why didn’t you call me back ... CRICKETS ... I continued to question my bill ... she then admitted that replacing the cartridge should’ve been cheaper than replacing the whole faucet ... so I continued with more questions and she was getting irritated ... she seemed to think I should accept her her answers and to not continue asking her anything more and that her answers were satisfactory, end of story, but because I continued to question the pricing, the actions of what the worker did upon arrival the first time he showed, the way the worker performed, how the worker couldn’t even give me an ideal estimate and the morals of the company ... SHE HUNG UP ON ME ... I’m not the only one she’s done this to ... this seems to be her way to handle concerns and complaints she gets about the company and by the reviews, it happens A LOT! I felt the company was highly and unfairly over priced, customer service rude and inept ... worker who came to my house, flighty and not “seasoned” ... lesson learned ... READ REVIEWS!

I am disappointed in the service received and the cost of work. First serviceman was not polite and not patient with questions asked about the work being done. When the second plumber came out to complete the work, he mentioned that the first job was done incorrectly and needed to be corrected. The bill was frustrating too. My neighbor had the exact same work by the exact same company in the same neighborhood, and their bill was significantly less than mine. When I called to inquire about the bill, rather than addressing any concerns, I was instead asked repeatedly how I was going to pay. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

Intially they were very responsive. They came out the same day to clear my drain. However the technician left out the side door without talking to anyone and left a mess in my basement. I called their office to get additional information on the services performed. The lady I spoke was rude and not helpful. She said she would call me back but I never heard back from them. A week later sewage started coming through the same drain. I left several messages with the office to get them to come back out but I never heard from them. I called their emergency number and still didn’t get a response. Their reasonably price but I guess you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t recommend using them.

Steve Russell is doing his job. The woman on the phone was repeatedly arrogant, rude and very unprofessional. She said that we didn’t pay for the service, that she left voice mails and sent emails, we didn’t respond to.
Now we are looking for a company, that doesn’t have us pay twice 200$ for a few minutes at our house and that treats customers respectfully!!!

Best plumber in the area! Has a lot of knowledge about new and old fixtures water heaters and remodel work!

Russell Plumbing is our first and only call for any and all plumbing-related problems. All of their plumbers are professional, courteous, punctual, and extraordinarily knowledgeable about their craft and trade. We have never had to have them come back out to fix a problem that should have been fixed the first time. We cannot recommend Russell Plumbing highly enough. We won't use any other plumber. They do outstanding work!

Steve was hired by my contractor, Riley & Rees, who turned out to be con artist, and took my money and didn't pay his subcontractors. Russell Plumbing completed work for my contractor and he didn't pay them. Steve then placed a lien on my house despite me telling him I directly paid Riley & Rees for the work he did and they didn't pay him with my money...they pocketed it to pay other debts. I contacted Steve to explain the situation, he told me that he would remove the lien, and then months later, nothing has been done. Unfortunately, you can't trust him to keep his word.

All the reviews are similar to my experience. Used them years ago and they complained about me not paying. Guy just left my house without trying to take payment. Never got a bill and tried to charge a late fee. Lady on phone was absolutely rude. Years later tried to give theme a second chance, and again lady was rude from the first word. Said they could do what I needed and needed to check schedule. Called back and said to call someone else! Sure will.

I've used Russell Plumbing several times now. Each time they have done a great job. Fixed the problem, left the worksite clean, went the extra mile, and the price is fair. My plumbers were Mark and Jerry - both great guys and very skilled.
