Never showed up for an estimate on 8/21/25, they called me up a week later after the job was done and they made excuses on why they didn't show up, also they hung up on me on the follow up call on 8/28/25...don't trust them...shady company

Berens is a well-oiled machine. I don’t think I have ever seen a business do things so flawlessly.

Asked for them to leave the wood behind on a tree they cut down on my property. Some was left, the good pieces I wanted were taken.
When I called for an explanation I was told it cost more to leave the wood behind. Doesn’t make sense, it would be less work on their end and they’re being paid for labor hours. Assumption is they took it to a mill for more money.

They were professional- confident in their job. They also cleaned up well. Definitely recommend !

Berens came to my home in Louisville and removed 3 trees, grinded 4 stumps, removed a huge pile of leaves and tree branches ( 3 years of accumulation). Then they put down top soil, seeded, fertalized and strawed the places of removal. I am still in shock at the awesome (perfect ) job they did. You don't find companies and staff that care and take pride in what they do anymore. BERENS is the exception. I wish them much success in the future, because they deserve it.

I called because they did work in the past for us. This time I called about getting an estimate and I asked if they topped tree's. He said that they don't do that and why they don't do that. I said I understood. He asked if we wanted the tree's removed after I explained what was going on with the tree's. He once again said in a stern voice that they don't top and if we want them thined and trimmed they do that or they can take them out. I told him I'm not the professional and if he felt they needed to come out to let us know and we would have to make that decision then. BTW My husband was listing to me talking to him on the phone. He did give us an estimate but only for trimming and thinning. Hr did not address on the estimate if the tree's needed to come out or not but he did put on our estimate N ONCE bur TWICE and UNDERLINED "NOT TOPPED!" I found this to be rude and disrespectful to a POTENTIAL CLIENT. This one will never call or refer Berens Tree & Excavation to anyone ever again.

Not 1 negative thing to say folks . Beren's is 100% Awesome ! Honest , fair and timely quote followed by punctual and professional crew that showed up early and ready to tackle a huge job and they're equipped with all the right tools and best of all the skill to get the job done right! I highly recommend them and I know you won't be disappointed !!

I shopped around and got quotes from 3 tree services to remove two tress and their stumps. Berens was the most reasonably priced and I saw a positive comment on Facebook about them so I decided to give them a try. So far with one tree down, removed, and stump ground out--I am not disappointed! It was a decent sized tree (with a large root system) and they worked hard the entire time. The roots were actually starting to affect my asphalt so I called them at the right time. Thanks guys!

Patience is rewarded with quality service. When we called them for an estimate, they were one of the few companies that were accepting new customers. They were very busy so they took awhile to get to us. We did have a miscommunication from the first visit. They were willing to come back out and make it right in order to meet our expectations. Patience is key - they provided great service for a good value and exceeded expectations. We will use them again in the future.
