Landscaping reviews in Medina, Ohio

I can't say enough about how wonderful this company is! I needed help with weeding, trimming, and mulching due to being very pregnant! They scheduled me for an estimate and Mike was ON TIME - a novelty for landscapers these days. He told me he'd send the estimate within 2 days, and it came to me within 2 hours at an absolutely fantastic price! I scheduled with them right away, and they fit me into their schedule exactly when they said they would. Not only did they tell me which week they were coming, but I received an e-mail the day before letting me know they were coming the next day. Sure enough, the team was here at 8am the very next day! Again, if you've worked with contractors/landscapers, you know this level of reliability and communication is unheard of, and I couldn't appreciate it more! I've already "broken up" with my old landscapers, and plan to use Greenkeepers going forward! Highly recommend!!

After calling several people about installing patio blocks and was always told the job was to small or nobody returned my call. I called Greenskeeper and from the initial phone call to the end of the project I can not express enough on how great they were and how outstanding the project looks. So Thank you all those other people who couldn't take the time to call me back because of you I went to the best place.

They were terrific. Leveled and seeded 350' of mounded earth resulting from hooking up to city water. They also trimmed the bottom 4' of 3 large pine trees and cleaned out the scrub underneath. The crew was on time and experienced. They did a thorough job and left every thing tidy. I am especially impressed with the effort they took to avoid damaging our perennial garden. Greenkeepers will definitely be our go to guys in the future.

I wanted to share my awesome experience I had with The Greenskeepers company located on Lafayette Road (Rt. 42) in Medina. I’m recently widowed and have been struggling with the yard work my husband always did (I didn’t tell him that until later) and I needed some topsoil to complete a project. I stopped there to see what they offered. (I found out later that they offer a multitude of products including topsoil, mulch, stones, straw, etc.) I told them what I needed and said I needed it that day. There was a slight hesitation on his part, but then he dropped what he was doing and brought the topsoil immediately to me and helped me finish my project.
I discovered that the company is family run (I love supporting “mom and pop” companies - the people that run them seem to work harder than most other companies). This company is just that - a very hardworking family. I also found out that the hesitation I sensed was because he was planning an indoor business day due to the excessive heat (over 90 degrees with a heat advisory). But instead, this young man dropped everything out of the kindness of his heart to help me. He went above and beyond what I would consider his job. What a refreshing attitude to see in this day and age. When I need mulch, topsoil, stones, straw, etc., I know where I’ll be going! They will be getting repeat business from me!! -
Meers landscaping has the contract for my Condo home owners association, they have not mowed my back yard area once all summer and I have over a foot of grass growing. I have contacted the management company who states they have notified the company each week with no resolve. In the winter the snow removal by this company is even worse. They never plow the roads or driveways as they are contracted to do. This company is so poor!!! I would never choose this company for service they are horrible!!!!

Exelente compañía

I observed Number #1 Landscaping volcano mulching trees yesterday at the Bob Evans Restauranr in Middleburg Heights. It was obvious that the crew had not been properly trained & were using way more mulch than was needed or was good for the trees.

They stink.

The worst. Buyer beware.

Great staff, beautiful work!

Stopped in to request a quote for snow plowing. Very friendly staff.

The folks here don't seem to have a clue about communicating with their clients. I have repeatedly tried contacting them about letting me know if/when they have applied fertilizer. I will not use again or recommend this company. Communication is a basic skill.

A1 landscaping has done our homeowners association landscape maintenance for over 5 years . I am very pleased with the services provided and the professional way they are completed.
I highly recommend this company. -
The heart of the operation (tom and jim) are some of the most generous people I've met. Very organized and professional across the board but still bring a friendly approach. Highly recommended for whatever your landscaping need!👍

Total disaster. The "crew" was two guys with shovels who didn't speak English. They spent a week in my driveway looking at their phones. Job isn't done, but of course they say it is -- I specifically requested caps on my retaining wall and now they're inventing excuses for why they're not doing it. Extremely inadequate estimate and scope of work provided. Have to finish it myself.

The guy never communicates he didn't come when he said he would then after I called him he said he would come the next day and then sends me a txtd he won't make it that day he'll call for a day next week. This company is not the one you should deal with if you want professionalism!! I wish I could give them no stars.

Everyone wants the business, not everyone can do it right, or care enough to try, even if you’re willing to pay a higher then market price for it.
After a few missed start dates……..the projects were done, and done poorly, and in some cases just plain incorrectly.
It required ownership to be on site to oversee and correct the miscommunications between supervision and those executing the work. There was a large language barrier in that at times no one on site spoke English and ownership did not speak their language.
Very poor quality of materials used, ultimately causing much of the work to be redone.
The project manager seemed to have a bit of a chip on their shoulder making it difficult to connect and feel all was going to be OK, which it wasn’t.
Final straw was an overbilling. Which ultimately got corrected but left a bad taste and closed the door for ownership to pursue additional projects. -
They no longer work for me. Grass was mowed regardless of weather and whether it needed it or not. Their mowers pushed the grass down instead of actually mowing it. You could go out and pick up 6-in or more long sections of grass in the yard. The owner manager seems very nice but the workers we're not performing well 2018-2020.

I used this company for lawn service and they are exceptional. My new puppies dug holes and they came promptly and worked diligently to finish in like two days. Such a beautiful result!

Horrible experience from top to bottom. Craig, our project manager, over charged us, to start, when an alternate method costing thousands less was an option that I only found out about after the job was "done". He is also rude and condescending. I could be here for days documenting everything that went wrong with this experience. But neither the project manager, or owner, care. They do just enough to trick you into paying them and then they drop you. I only gave 1 star because I couldn't give 0.

I just had a spring cleanup and mulching service and #1 Landscaping exceeded my expectations. Craig, the salesman, met with me to walk the yard and provided a quote in a timely manner. Craig was able to accommodate my schedule request and kept me updated during the project. The crew definitely takes pride in their workmanship. I will be recommending this company to family and friends.
