We used them for 2 years and it got worse all the time. The technician almost always came and applied the service in the rain. The nail in the coffin was when they sprayed for grubs and bugs and killed our lawn. In trying to cancel, I got the runaround and ended up talking to local and India. Not a good experience. They were not interested in my concerns. Offered to have a technician to come examine the lawn a few times, but never followed through. I cannot recommend this service at any level.

We have been a client of TruGreen for several years. Each technician sent (today Aaron) has exemplified courtesy and professionalism. Our lawn each year seems to be getting stronger and healthier looking. Well done guys.

I had a problem with hard to control weeds (ground ivy) in my back yard. The lawn technicians did a great job to greatly reduce these weeds. Each time the lawn was treated it got progressively better. My back yard will be weed free after a couple more treatments next season. The lawn technicians are very knowledgable about lawn care. I am very satisfied with TruGreen.

Our lawn looked awful for the last 3 years prior to using TruGreen. Tried other services and they didn’t work. Started TruGreen this year and while the lawn still isn’t perfect it’s come a loooonnng way. Thankful for what James has done to get our lawn looking better

Update as of April 6th, Ryan the location manager reached out to me along with corporate. A sincere apology was made along with our address being put on a do not knock list. I appreciated the efforts of the business to get a hold of me and make the situation right.

March 28th two TruGreen employees minus name tags came into my neighborhood going door to door. They chose to come on my front lawn and start looking through the grass. They did not bother coming to my front door to ask permission. They were trespassing number one. Number two, my husband confronted them and they offered a lame apology and still had to be told twice more to leave our property. I called to lodge a complaint and did not get a call back, EVER. No name tags, rude and unprofessional. I will never do business with these people and I advise you all to do the same.

If possible, I would give them zero stars.

We have treated our 2 acre yard ourselves for many years with somewhat satisfactory results, in most places. But this spring we decided to try TruGreen Lawn Care (Mentor) and arranged for treatment for spring through fall, one payment.
The yard has never looked this good. We could not be happier. We get compliments all the time from people that visit.
At the first treatment, the TruGreen Technician took a good look at the whole place and discovered what was needed. Some areas needed treatment different than other areas to address what was seen. Improvement showed very soon after and more improvement with each treatment. This sort of evaluation and treatment adjustment occurs at every visit.

Technician James B. has done all the grass treatments with a very high degree of attention, thoroughness, knowledge, helpful customer service. He is very generous with his time and knowledge. He always invites us to call for addition, unscheduled application if we don’t see the improvements that he expects and describes to us.

Technician Scott F. Does an equally nice job with the insect and disease treatment of trees, shrubs, and bushes, which is part of the three season package.

My technician did an excellent job spreading fertilizer. However, he couldn't do the spot treatment for weeds because he had no water on his truck. That is no fault of his. I have scheduled with true Green to come back and do the spot treatment..

Every service required a call back. I have cameras on My property and would watch the technicians live, perform the services. If I didn’t have these cameras with video proof, I would’ve just assumed that TruGreen was performing their duties as described in their pamphlets. What I watched was despicable. I watched them ignore entire areas of my lawn, not touching them at all. During an aeration and oversee service, I watched the guy riding the machine stop look around and decide not to do my entire backyard, continuing back around the front, and then proceeded to leave. I watched them ride the spreader without it spreading or spraying anything. I continually had weeds, and I had lines in my yard from where they actually did, fertilize and dead parts of my yard where they did not ride their lines so far apart that the fertilizer does not overlap. If I wasn’t vigilant, they would’ve taken advantage of me and charged me all the same. I shouldn’t have to monitor and keep track of the services being performed. They lost my trust early on. Customer customer support was a joke, So much so that I had to call corporate to get anything done. I do not recommend.

Trugreen employee showed up at my house today and started application in our backyard with our dogs outside. When the dogs would not stop bothering him, the technician came to our front door, rang the doorbell and yelled” you gotta do something about them dogs!” Scratching our heads as to what was going on, my wife went outside to stop him, ask him why was he here and who hired him? She proceeded to tell him we never fertilize our backyard because we have dogs. He immediately stopped what he was doing and went back to his truck to find out he was at the wrong house! Tried calling the local number and you cannot get anyone on the line, the number forwards you to a national call center. Made a complaint with them, which was supposed to be forwarded to our local office. Was told someone would contact us today, which never happened. Rude, unprofessional company and impossible to get anyone local on the phone. Who treats a yard with fertilizer that’s supposed to be given hours to dry with pets outside? Quality control, professionalism and customer service are out the window apparently with this company

Andrew answered my questions and helped me know what to do to help with your treatments. I called attention to TruGree. areas missed in prior treatments and arranged for it to be corrected.

Dalleo showed up mid morning and got right to work. He was very efficient and friendly, I appreciate the the attitude and manners.
We talked for a few minutes about a coyote image we have in our lawn to keep geese out of the yard.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Ruined my back yard last year by over fertilizing. Burn streaks and bare holes all over.
-Was told they would fix it by aerating and reseeding. Guy came to aerate when it was a monsoon like a moron. Seed was just taken away by water and sat in puddles.
-Called them and told them they need to come back. He comes back 2 days later when the ground is soggy. Says aerator won’t work bc it keeps getting stuck (no kidding) so starts throwing seed around like it’s bird seed. I was mind blown by the incompetence. Clearly didn’t fix anything
-Tells me “let’s see what happens over the winter and we can come back if nothing is fixed” Clearly, nothing was fixed.
-Winter comes. I mow for thr first time this year and noticed it actually got worse. So I called 2 weeks ago to tell them my backyard still has empty patches everywhere and still needs fixed.
-I was told 2 weeks ago by Supervisor Carmen that he would add me on the aerator schedule this past week. Never got a call. Nobody ever came.
-I called again on Friday. Was told I would get a call from local office about issue. Also needed refund since I paid for whole yard and they can only do the front bc they can’t fertilize or lay weed killer for months when we’re trying to plant seed in the back. So I need half of what I paid for back bc it’ll be months before they can even treat it
-I still have yet to get a call from local office about how they’re going to fix the back yard or provide the refund for overpayment

At this point I’m ready to just move on and buy and lay the seed myself. I’ll take a full refund and go through another company.

I got a price Quote from Trugreen and they sent it to my email. A week later when I decided to start Service they told me they will NOT honor the price I was Quoted. Not only did they NOT HONOR the price i was Quoted the lady offered to do my yard for DOUBLE the PRICE of my original Quote! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE TRASH FROM TOP TO BOTTOM!

I explained to technician that we were thatching and resending in approximately 2 weeks he said that I could call and we could get a free service call to fertilize the yard with a spreader.

He didn't exceed my expectations. We were right in the garage and back and forth outside. We weren't sure if he got the trees on the other side. We went to ask and he was gone. No goodbye. No thank you for trusting the company. What happened to true customer service? We spend all this money and sub-par service. No knock on this tech, but I still have weeds!!!!

This was my first experience with TruGreen! As I was leaving home, I spotted their truck down the street and thought, why not stop and ask if I'm on their list? The guys were really friendly, so I let them know I wouldn’t be there. Other than that, I don’t have much to say at the moment. I’m excited to see how my lawn looks in a few weeks!

Service is horrible, weed control is absolutely garbage. If you do not pay attention they will not perform the service on your whole yard. Had to call them constantly. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone for any reason.
