We had a large birch tree (36" base) in our yard that had begun to compromise the foundation of our home. A local Arborist confirmed that the tree should be removed due to its 5’ proximity to our basement walls. We used Google and other sources to determine four highly-capable, professional tree removal services. Following on-site visits by each, we selected Stamp’s Tree Service. George Stamp left us with a high degree of confidence that the tree would be removed without risk of damage to our neighbor’s new driveway, nor damage to our home. George scheduled the removal with proper notice, arrived on time, and had exceptional equipment to handle the job. He and his crew removed the birch tree, as well as another that had caused significant damage to our driveway. They shredded all of the materials directly into a dump truck, raked the two areas, and left almost no trace of mulch behind. I would certainly use them again and I highly recommend that you consider them for your tree service.

I was on my way home from and the guys were in my driveway and instead of coming up to my car to tell me where to park, George started waving his hand to have me not park where I thought he wanted me to. I went to pull into my lawn and he got even more furious and started waving and pointing for me to go elsewhere. I had no idea where he wanted me to go so I turned around in a neighbor’s driveway and pulled back up to my house only to see George waving and visibly more angry that I didn’t park my car somewhere. To which I saw him walking towards my car and thought he was going to tell me where to go. Nope. He was waking to throw a piece of wood into the chipper and went back to what he was doing. He then saw me still in front of my driveway and started pointing down the street and I finally backed into my neighbor’s driveway. I got out of my car and he tried to be buddy buddy with me. I said I’m sorry I didn’t know where you wanted me to go and I went into my house. The next day George and another guy came back to finish the job and my father asked where he should move his car so he’s not in the way and George told him to park in a neighbor’s driveway or on the street. George then told my father that I got pretty upset with him the day before and my dad agreed with me and told him he would have done the same because we’re not mind readers. I got back later in the afternoon and George and Mike were still working. Mike said hi to me and I said hi back. George saw me but didn’t acknowledge me nor did he apologize for his behavior for the previous day. George also told my father that he was upset because his crew didn’t show up or some type of machinery wasn’t working and that’s why he acted how he did to me. Now I fully understand that we all have bad days and we’re entitled to them but I’m a firm believer in that no matter how bad your day is, you never take it out on the customer especially when they have no idea what you’re asking or wanting them to do. Truly a bad experience and I would never recommend this company to anyone under any circumstances.

Owner was honest, professional, showed up when he said he would, and stuck to the price agreed upon before our tree was removed. Last but not least did a great job..can’t ask for much more than that!

George and his team did a great job in my backyard, removing 3 trees, taking out one big branch, and trimming others, they were easy to work with, finished in few hours, the price was good and fair, overall was a great experience, such as the previous experience I had with them few years ago, thank you George.

I had George Stamp come give me an estimate to remove some dead branches from a neighbors tree that hung over my house. At the end of it all I told him to call me and let me know when he was going to be able to come and set up an appointment. In the meantime, I had two additional estimates done just to compare prices and decided not to have the work done. I never heard from him and Three weeks later he came to my house And did the work without me even knowing. I came home to my outdoor swing left it in front of my front door and the work being done that I never signed a contract for. Then when I contacted him, needless to say I was infuriated, all he could say was “so you don’t want to pay?” On top of it branches that he removed were left in my neighbors yard. He damaged my plants and decorations by throwing large tree limbs on them. He took advantage of a single, female homeowner. And should not be allowed to do business! I would never recommend him or his company! I have never encountered such an unprofessional company in all my years.

If you do not have an appointment, how do you cancel? You cannot cancel something that is not set! By looking at your response, it is visible that you are an uneducated and unprofessional individual that was in need of money. I just hope I save others from your unprofessionalism.

I requested a qoute early on a Sunday and received it later that day.

George and his staff arrived the following Saturday to remove a 35 foot tree.

The tree was removed in a swift manner.
The service was extremely professional.

Came out September of 2019 to my Mother's place in Mentor. I needed some trees trimmed and some stumping done and it had to be done quickly since I was only in town 2 weeks. George came out on his own and did all the work for a ridiculously low price. His crew had other jobs going on so he came out and did the work himself. He also touched up a few extra places that needed attention even though it was extra work for him and not in the original agreement. I am very happy with his services, work ethic, and the quality of his work. I highly recommend Stamp's Tree Services.
