Davey Tree is our "go-to" team for help with landscaping - shrubs and trees and lawn fertilization. When there is an issue, they are very prompt to respond, including on-site at our home to take a first hand look at the problem. Our latest issue is some sick blue spruces; DT came out within 2 days and spent time analyzing all our trees, telling me what was happening and how to address it. I highly recommend them.

I had a wonderful experience with Davey Tree. They were able to trim 5 trees and remove a dead tree from my property at a very reasonable cost. I am also having them treat the trees on my property to save one, and am setting the trees up to be fed on a schedule that they recommended to make sure that they stay healthy. I would definitely recommend this company, and will be doing business with them in the future. The are very knowledgeable about trees, and have taken great care to make sure that my property is looking its best!

We have been using the Davey Tree Company for years and have always been pleased with their service. Recently we had several trees/bushes planted, removed and pruned. Anthony and his crew were professional, prompt, helpful and friendly. When I email Anthony with questions, he is always quick to answer and very helpful. Excellent prep meeting with certified arborist. Quote was very clear and detailed. Work crew showed up on time and was pleasant to work with. No damage done to surrounding trees/structure. Both the certified arborists and work crew answered all questions and gave suggestions.

They did a great job removing our tree and then grinding up the stump. However, the communication was not good. Both times they appeared at my home with no prior notice. A little unprofessional and would have greatly appreciated much better communication.

The crew from Davey provided wonderful service in pruning and trimming several large trees whose location required lots of climbing; as location precludes heavy equipment. I would definitely recommend without reservation.

First if you are considering this company you should check the BBB website omg! I’ve never seen so many terrible complaints against a company. I actually called them to have work done and an employee did show up to give an estimate (he said he was a arborist) for some unknown reason he would not answer my texts or emails regarding the estimate and start date. What a blessing that this “arborist” stopped communicating with me. What a blessing!

Davey did a great job removing a large dead tree in our yard. They also cleaned up the area well. The quote process went smoothly. It took a while to get a date scheduled, however we were flexible so that was okay for us.

I just bought a new home with a massive oak tree in the back. The tree looked healthy but there were some dead branches. I called Davey Tree Expert Company to come out have a look. An appointment was made for a few days after I called. Anthony came out and was astonished at the size of the oak. We walked around the property and discussed the many trees and shrubs and plans. That evening he sent me two different plans with clear pricing and services listed. I signed the contract and was told they'd be out in about a month (book up til then) to do the tree trimming. About a month later I was contacted with a time and date. I was at work but when I came home, the large oak had been trimmed and several trees cut down as asked. A few days later the tree was treated according to the seasonal maintenance plan I had chosen. The branches from the oak were piled neatly in a corner of the yard as discussed. I really appreciate the time Anthony took to explain the different plans and what could be done to keep this gigantic oak tree in good health. All the people who came over in the three separate trips were prompt and considerate. I really appreciated that the two days I was not home, they made sure to close the gate access to the back yard. The pricing was fair for the work done.

Recently, I had Davey tree services contracted to plant several shrubs in my back yard. I have used their services before and they were amazingly expert at what they did. My most recent experience was affirmation that they are true professionals. The employee, Patrick, took great care to meticulously plant my shrubs in a compositional manner and was very convivial and accommodating. Great business and highly recommended.

The Davey Tree Expert Company did it again! Bryan stopped by and fed the Birch trees. Last month they trimmed a tree on the property line. Next, I'll have them take a look at the rest of the trees and whip them into shape.

Our first contact was Tom, who sized up our project. His experience and advice showed through immediately and we felt confident our project was important. Also, Davey had done work for us last year.

Chris and Dan put in a busy morning, and we couldn’t be happier with their work. They were professional, knew what they doing, and kept at it. Even the clean-up was top drawer.

Also, safety was clearly primary, and it was obviously important as the trees were cut and felled.

Terry White gave us a quote for tree removal and stump grinding. The tree was removed quickly. All tree limbs and Pine needles were removed. We were extremely satisfied with the service. The stump grinding took place a week or so later and there was a bit of miscommunication. I had expected the chips and shavings to be removed, however the clean up is the owners responsibility. I am pleased to say that Terry worked with us and the chips and shavings were removed. The invoice price was exactly the same as the quote. This is the second tree we’ve had removed and we didn’t even get a second quote - that’s how satisfied we are with the service.

I have never had anyone work on my home before in over thirty years and I'm happy to say this experience was so positive that I really want to share it.
After getting several estimates I choose Davey which seemed the most reasonable and professional. I was getting 4 trees removed. Terry came shortly after I called them and returned a clear and reasonable estimate the next day. It itemized the work so I could decide how much I wanted to do. It included their insurance info. After accepting their proposal. They came out soon after.

They arrived in the morning with all the pro equipment and manpower needed. It was an impressive fleet. Not just some guy with a saw. They even brought a huge lot of giant panels to lay all the way to the backyard to prevent leaving tire marks. Everyone was professional friendly and careful. They took down all four trees cleaned up nearly any trace that they had been there. They left the property clean and undamaged.

Terry followed up with me afterward to make sure I was happy.
If you want a professional worry free experience I highly recommend them.

So my neighbors had been recommending Davey for awhile and we finally called them for some help with some trees and our landscape. This is one of the best companies in Cincinnati to work with. I can't say enough good things.

They first sent out a arborist who identified issues with two dead plants and gave us options for trimming and fertilizing our plants and then sent me an estimate. Once I approved of the work I wanted completed the work was immediately scheduled.

The crew that showed up did an amazing job...work that would have taken me more than a couple of weekends was done in a few hours. Could not be happier with the results.

The arborist provided helpful ideas on how to extend the life of our very old trees, including things I could do myself. His proposal was reasonable. The crew came out the following week and did a great job pruning out dead wood and cleaning up afterward. Great timing as we had several windy days afterward!

This is second time, now April 2025, that Davey came to our rescue. The post below is from the Fall of 2024. They saved the day today, I thouht someone was going to get hurt, Davey came out at a last minute urgent need and helped us out. 10 stars instead of 5.

Davey Tree service pruned my large trees and removed another large tree. This exceeded my expectations (based on tree service of others I have experienced in the past). They were knowledgeable and thorough, showed concern not to do damage our landscape and my lawn, cleaned up well, and went the extra mile.

Been using Davey Tree both at work and at home for almost forty years. Almost anyone can remove a dead tree but only trust a true professional to care for your living trees. My recent experience was excellent. Crew showed up on time, performed the work exactly as I requested, cleaned up and were finished in less than the estimated time. Price was very reasonable. Definitely will use them again!
