Technician (Jonathan) was friendly and thorough. Went right to work and kept us notified of every step. Good experience and reasonable price.

I called Sal’s for furnace service last week after another company fell through. They were great! They came within a week, called with their arrival time about 40 minutes before they got here, and were efficient in cleaning and servicing my furnace. I also got to see pictures of how it’s looking, and there was no credit card fee. And the tech wore shoe covers, which I always really appreciate.

I contacted Sals to have a toilet reset due to leaking at the floor along with a plugged kitchen drain. I was ASSURED that the tech coming would complete the repairs the same day and that their trucks were fully stocked. After taking the day off work and waiting around until 3pm and 2 calls back to Sals the tech finally arrived. I walked him thru the job and he went back to his truck to provide me with the estimate. When he returned I expected him to start the approved work. He then tells me that I will have to call Sals to have the repairs scheduled for a later date. I found this totally unacceptable and he left. The next day I get a call from a Sals rep asking if I was happy with the repairs. WHAT REPAIRS, HE DID NOTHING, AND DON'T EVEN THINK OF SENDING ME A BILL. If this is the way they do business I recommend you go elsewhere.

The technicians consistently deliver excellent work once they arrive on-site—professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. However, the scheduling and dispatch process leaves much to be desired. Timeliness and communication are significant challenges, as it is often difficult to receive accurate scheduling information or updates. When requesting a general time frame to plan around the service visit, the only response provided is typically that the technician will call 30–40 minutes prior to arrival.
If not for the outstanding performance and professionalism of the field technicians, I would strongly consider taking my business elsewhere. -
The technician, Jonathan McNeal, is the reason I'm giving 4 stars. He was wonderful! Efficient, knowledgeable & thorough. He explained everything he did and the results of the maintenance. I would have given a 5 star, but the day started with a call from Sal's saying they would not be able to come for my scheduled appointment, sighting there were clients without heat. I explained, I had not turned my furnace on yet & was waiting for them to inspect it. Also, because they couldn't schedule an evening or weekend or give me an estimated time- even morning or afternoon- I had to take an entire day off of work. Now they wanted to reschedule the appointment. Unacceptable! I told them, all of that and that I expected someone to be here as promised. I am thankful they did have someone come out by late afternoon. Jonathan gets a 5 star, over all 4 due to the scheduling debacle & having to wait all day for the service call.

Sal's Heating and cooling has been doing my yearly maintenance now for two years for my AC and furnace and they have done a wonderful job. My furnace needed replaced this year and mike was very helpful in putting together quotes with varying options and price ranges. He was not pushy on trying to sell or up sell me and just laid out the options. I will definitely keep my sal's in mind when asked for recommendations.

I recently had to get a new heater installed. Houston, the sales rep, sold me on a heater that I would be able to register with the gas company b/c of it being energy efficient. They would also issue a check at the end of the year with the savings. Houston said he has the exact heater and has received a check from the gas company. Installers came and I made sure to ask for the serial number so I could register the heater. I called the gas company and they have no idea of what I am talking about. I called Sal’s about this and was told a manager would call be back. They have not called yet. I feel ripped off and scammed by Houston.

My old furnace died during the recent cold snap. Sal's tech Zachary was onsite within 4 hours to assess the situation. Within a day after that, installation of the new furnace and A/C had begun. The crew, Cyrus and Perry, were polite, respectful of the property, and did a great job on the install.
-
The technician was pushy, tried to make me do a 6k furnace replacement then and there on the spot.
He did not want me calling others for quotes.
I call another company, they fix my issue quickly for 100 bucks.
To be fair, the furnace will probably need a replacement in the next 5 years, but I didn’t need to be pushed for today.
I don’t think this company is bad, but the specific technician clearly trying to get a commission score on me.
EDIT AFTER THEY RESPONDED:
I do not doubt their technical assessment. I know my furnace will need replaced soon. It's just a red flag when the technician is trying his hardest to convince me to not get a second opinion/second quote. It's very normal practice to get multiple quotes. So unfortunately when I do replace my furnace, it will be with another company. -
Great service! Reasonably priced. Was very accommodating to my schedule. Would recommend definitely! Will be using them for more plumbing work I need.
-
Great experience as new home owner. I wanted to be proactive and signed up for Comfort Maintenance Service. Technician arrived NEXT DAY. Sure enough, furnace had major issue which was visually shown to me and verbally explained. Due to the age of the system, it makes more sense to replace than repair. Moving forward with that next week.

We have used Sal's for our furnace, air conditioning and toilet installation needs. We have never been disappointed with their service. They are always knowledgeable, respectful, and timely. We will continue to call on them for service.

This company goes so above and beyond to make sure their customers are safe and satisfied. Dimitri was so polite and in depth when doing my furnace diagnosis. He answered all of my questions with knowledgeable replies and thoroughly checked my air quality, points of moisture, and many other things that I’ve never seen done by a furnace technician. He used cameras to go deep inside the unit and checked for any signs of danger or corrosion and informed me of the conditions at hand and explained the situation to me in a truly exceptional, calm, and respectful manner. I will never be calling another company for work these guys can do bc they really took care of me and did many things they didn’t have to bother with to make sure I was taken care of.
Absolute A++, S class service! My family and I will definitely be returning for much more of their services in the future, and I will be recommending them to anyone in need of the services they provide. These are people you can truly trust with the welfare of your family when it comes to the work they perform. They are knowledgeable, experienced, understanding, and compassionate about their business.
Give SALs a call next time you need heating/cooling/plumbing etc. I promise you these guys will get the job done right! -
Very pleased with Sal’s! Help was very clear and concise over the phone. Furnace tech arrived around when they said he would. The tech, Shawn Sullivan, is a very friendly and efficient expert. All questions and concerns were answered, and the furnace is running like new!

Had parts replaced on a furnace that is less than 5 years old, the warranty covered ALL parts for 10 years but still had to pay close to $600 for parts for a repair on a furnace Sal's installed in November of 2021. (And told this was just a labor charge and processing fee)
I have contacted the Attorney General's office as well as the BBB, as the service tech also forged signatures on the invoice. Was not transparent and signed 2 parts of the invoices himself before having me sign the authorization just for the charge. This happened twice.
The service tech Bradley also stated that the inducer motors often go out after 5 years, so be aware you're paying for junk, just to replace those junk parts after 5 years.
I was also told that there would not be any emergency service call fee or "after hours" fee because the service tech was out at my house around 11:45am and replaced one part and did not solve the issue, so had to come out again the same day when the furnace quit working 2 hours after the part was replaced. -
Woke up to no hot water. Called Sal’s and had a quick response with someone at my door in about 2 hours. Determined a replacement of the tank was necessary. The tech got everything setup. In the afternoon, the two installers arrived. They were super nice, kept the house clean, and I even called them the dream team!

We've had Sal's HCPS out twice within a year for some plumbing stuff. I think it's great that they always call and text before coming plus the text has a photo and the name of the technician coming which is great if you're someone who has safety concerns about who is coming into your home. Each time they came whether it was to give an estimate or resolve our plumbing issue; they were always super friendly, respectful of our home, and always worked quickly which is awesome when you're anticipating not having the water turned on for awhile. I'd recommend using Sal's for your heating, cooling, plumbing and sewer needs.

At 1st contact I wasn't too pleased. It got a little better after the sticker shock and the acceptance of the even more costly upgraded service. The installers were very friendly and professional at all times. I was surprised at how fast they removed the old system and replaced it. Afterwards they throughly cleaned the area they were working in. They left no mess outside. I won't know until summer how they picked the fan speed for air, but the speed they picked for heating seems to be ok thus far. Because I kept my more expensive and more economical and much more sophisticated thermostat, my temperature never varies < than ¼° F. Basically it stays the same and the numbers don't change. Except for the untimely expense, so far, I am very pleased with my purchase and the people, Sky, and McKenzie in the office were very friendly, helpful and efficient to my request and requirements. They keep the team afloat. At 1st contact they tried new math when offered more than 50%++, down. They tried to get nearly 80%. At the end, you're asked to sign many blank signature boxes. They didn't know all about the unit. I asked about fan relay speeds. He said it has 25, but I read it had 18 speeds. After calling again the next day and I finally got my invoice which addresses other work for some others. However I signed empty boxes after the work was completed and they never, by law asked me about installing a carbon monoxide detector, or paying me for it and that I said no to that. Also I had my signature under many things, like waving the 72 buisness hour right by law to change my mind.
It's not until it's all done and when you get the invoice, that you find out about the lies and the trickery of giving up rights. That sours my feelings for the great work that was done and the kindness of the personnel who take the calls and try to make up for other wise knowledge of the practice of wrong doing and violating your personal writes and services. Without about $1,000 discount built in, to use or not to seal the deal, I still spent nearly $6,000, because to fix mine for about $2,700, I'd get only 1 year warranty and it probably wasn't in stock, so I went with a full replacement with a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger and 10 years PARTS AND LABOR warranty on everything else.
It's bittersweet, but I would/have recommend them to friends and family, but let them know to take an hour or so to read everything before they sign anything. -
It is my belief when you hire anyone into your home you are walking blindly that they are honest and have a true knowledge that work performed will fix the problem.
Sals heating has been working on our boiler system since 10/20/25.
From 10/20/2025 till 1/2026 Sals has charged us 6,102.00
On 2/10/2026 we were presented with two more estimates:
1) 3,627.00 for further repairs .
2) 18,180.00 total replacement of Boiler
It is my fear that they feel an additional 3,627.00 will not fix the boiler in entirety so they included an estimate of full replacement of system.
2) Replacement of boiler system in its entirety: 18,180.00
We have moved on and will not be using Sals service for any additional repairs/work
This matter will appear on your website reviews and am submitting to the BBB -
In their own technicians words the installation of the release valve was “garbage” and yet it’s not under warranty today even though it was yesterday. They charge $99 plus tax to come out every time after 1 year even if it is a warranty issue even though that’s not what the contract or paperwork communicate. Our boiler was installed less than two years ago and we currently have no heat at all. What was once a respectable company is no longer. After paying a large amount for the new boiler it’s another $1500 to repair what wasn’t correctly installed by them. I will also be contacting the better business bureau.
In response to, " we maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding the mistreatment of our team", I appreciate that you do. I didn't realize questioning the run-around we were giving meant we mistreated you. How dare we question charges when they changed twice and we got different answers from three different employees. I do thank you very much for showing your true colors and I suppose you saved us money and future hassle by cancelling our AC installation for January too. Thank you Sal. Respect.
Don't worry they saved us $1200 by refusing to repair the boiler. We had a reputable repair person come out for $300 and neither part was an issue and it definitely wasn't our well water. The first technician had drained all the water from the system and it clearly won't work without water. He had the system up and running in less than 30 minutes and it is working better than it ever has. We no longer had the loud noise because he didn't leave air in the system. Save yourself the headache and go anywhere else. -
Sals was able to come out to give me a quote for every furnace option they had. This helped me decide to go with them. They gave me their best pricing options on a new furnace, humidifier and smart thermostat. I feel great going into the winter months with a new system with a great warranty too! The installation took about 8 hours over 2 days and everyone who was at the house was respectful of coming in and out and explained updates to the process.
After the installation they showed me how to use the humidifier (new to me) and then once they came back to finish the job they told me what to look out for and confirmed that everyrhing was in working order.
I know that if I have any questions or concerns they will answer quickly and I will have resolution if needed. I appreciate them and making my house safe and warm!
