Went to Black Diamond in Perrysburg twice this past week; both times were extremely disappointing and frustrating! Both trips, when needed help from an employee, couldn't find one until went to front of store where they were all standing in a group, carrying on, laughing, each of them watching me as I was looking lost and confused. Not one, including the manager asked if I needed help. When I finally asked for help, was asking a question about landscaping rocks, was told to go elsewhere, funny, the rocks I was looking for IS on their website!!!

Second trip... SAME exact thing, all employees standing around, laughing, having a great old time, not offering one customer in the store help! when I once again approached an employee to ask about boulders on back of property, was told to wait for the manager or call back later because she had no idea what I was talking about! COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE!! Couldn't radio manager to ask.

In short, along with the outrageous prestigous Perrysburg community prices, poor sickly seclections and the happy social hour of the employees that seem to never cease, FRUSTRATION AT ITS HIGHEST!! I will never waste my time there again, and would suggest anyone with the same valuable time to save theirs as well.

Very Disappointing! We went there to see what they had for annuals to put on some grave markers. The selection was fair/ good but everything was in dire need of watering! Im really surprised there weren't more dead ones around (there were flats of plants that were dead on the tables). If you want the best quality and selection around, go to Hoen's Garden Center in Holland. That's where I'll go from now on even if it's out of my way...

I have had nothing but great experiences when visiting Black Diamond. Whether we are going there for flowers, bird seed, trees, or other yard items I have been extremely satisfied with the selection of products and the helpfulness of the staff. I would definitely recommend Black Diamond.

Everyone here is always so helpful. I just broke my birdbath and they happen to have some ceramic ones half off. Also their windsocks and some summer yard items on sale... Of course I had to stock up for summer gifts

I stopped in to look at some new trees for my yard. I was greeted pleasantly when walking in, the clerk at the register offered to find the manager who was most knowledgeable about their trees.

Dave was knowledgeable and helpfully explained to me the various types of trees they had available. He patiently answered all of my questions about the trees and their planting and delivery service.

They had the right size xmas tree for us and it was discounted!

Helpful staff who showed me different shrubs for my landscaping. Took potted Hostas into the store and out to my car for me. Couldn't have asked for more knowledgeable staff and help. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I stopped here so he could pick out a houseplant. They have a great selection of plants to choose from. There was a young man there who helped us tremendously. He was so very kind and patient with us. He knew a whole lot about the plants and answered all of our questions. I wish we would have asked what his name was.

We love our new plant. We will be back soon to pick out another one.

Unfortunately did not have a great experience here. I am not a gardener nor a plant expert, so coming here took a lot of courage knowing I’d be clueless, but I figured an employee could help me. I was wrong - not one employee asked me if I needed help or was around to help. When I thought I knew what I wanted I went to checkout, where the cashier told me that what I picked wouldn’t be sufficient for a pot. Instead of showing me what would be better, she pointed “over there”, so I changed my mind and left. The selection is vast, which is great for those who know the difference between the options. For someone with no knowledge, it was frustrating to not receive help from employees who are “experts”.

Had fun making a teacup garden, and got some seedlings while I was there. Everyone was super friendly! I was happy with the prices.

I was at this place at least once a year. The people that work there are kind and informed and just plain friendly. I always find the perfect tropicals for my little Cabana at home in Michigan. Perrysburg is a beautiful city to visit I highly recommend it. Love black diamond as much as I do

Jason was very friendly and helpful. He helped me pick out plants that would grow in the conditions that I described and made sure to ask about the size of container and even what time of day the plants would get sunlight.

They have a wide variety of beautiful plants. Another young man also carried the potting soil out to my car for me and offered to lay plastic down so it didn't get my car dirty.

As a beginner horticulturist; looking to grow a variety of succulents, Black Diamond of Perrysburg offers some of the finest quality variety that I could hope for in my search. A gentleman named Zach and another gentleman named Carson did an exemplary job in explaining variety, care and points of interest. The very personal and professional and courteous assistance coupled with quality plants lead me to give this place an A+ rating. Check it out!

I have them come out to my house for quarterly lawn service. Someone came by today and he said he is fairly new with the company. I hope the company can figure out who I am and what my address is with this post because I'm just going to say it upfront: I do not want to trade this person! I want to keep him! He's so much better than previous ones!! I asked him what I could do with some spots in the lawn that refused to grow. He explained that because I live at a corner house near a calming circle that the exhaust and fumes from the many cars that go by takes a toll on my corner. He came up with some great suggestions that I'm looking forward to incorporating in my yard. Thanks newbee. Hope you and your daughter keep up with the multiplication tables🤩!

Really like this place! The plants are well cared for, and the staff is very kind. My most recent visit was the day after Christmas, I needed advice for nursing a dying plant back to life, and the two employees gave thoughtful advice and took the time to chat. I’ve been looking to make relationships with the local workers and store owners around Perrysburg, so this was an encouraging beginning. To restate, I really appreciated the care and effort put into the store, and the employees are pleasant and considerate.

I’m so Upset & Disappointed with Black Diamond . I purchased 6 wooden planters from them & they were Flimsy made.The shoddy work that was done on these. There were a lot of Poor Workmanship , Imperfections, Substandard Inferior Quality of Wood Used for those Planters .There were Staples sticking out ,Sides not reinforced properly, and the bottoms weren’t securely properly enforced.These planters looked like they were made with a low grade of wood . I wasted all that money buying these planters to where I could have bought planters elsewhere made with a higher quality grade of lumber that would last. I highly don’t recommend buying these planters from Black Diamond.I would rather purchase them from a reputable Contractor that will do a better job & use a better quality of lumber to make them . Save Yourself Some Money-Don’t Buy These !

Great experience buying a large indoor tree/plant. Reasonable price. Great customer service twice. It is doing great so far and replanted it today. Fingers crossed it continues to do well.

I picked up a young Albo Swiss Cheese plant earlier this year that never produced another variegated leaf. After speaking with the staff about how to induce variegation maybe they stated that sometimes they just don’t produce them and a gardener came out and gave us a fresh variegated cutting to propagate. They have also special ordered plant foods for me and have an exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly crew. Extremely grateful for the team at Black Diamond.

I came in recently to get some succulents for my baby bearded dragon's tank and he absolutely adores them. It makes me so happy to see him sleep safely in the leaves and climb around on the pots. Lenny and I are very grateful for Black Diamond!

We purchased 4 grave blankets days before Thanksgiving. A month later, 3 of them are dead and brown. We've bought these from Black Diamond for years, and they've always lasted well into February. Im not sure what has changed but we'll be looking elsewhere next year.

Love yo have such an amazing greenhouse right here in town! Always amazing selection of indoor plants, best perennials, annuals, bushes and more!
