We recently had our attic steps remodeled by Big Bear. They were very easy to work with. Their communication is top notch, from weekly schedules to easy to contact site managers it all helped to make sure we were on the same page throughout the process. Everyone on site was kind, communicative and kept my house in great shape during the process. Would highly recommend.

The Big Bear Remodeling crews are professional, courteous, and thorough. We had the master bathroom completely renovated. They sent weekly check in emails from the office to make sure everything was on schedule and to address any issues. The emails came in on Friday, and they were always responded to by Monday. This allowed for great two way dialogue and communication. We were also very pleased with the quality of the work. The crews are talented, and detail oriented. I'd recommend them.

Big Bear was a dream to work with over the course of the six months they were here working on our kitchen, bathroom and a spare bedroom remodels. Their team was fantastic throughout the majority of our projects; highly communicative, detail oriented, reasonable and looking out for our best interests as we tore apart and rebuilt our 100+ year old home. Our projects were by no mean smooth, easy, or problem-free, but Kirk, Travis and the rest of the Big Bear team made discovering setbacks easier to navigate and always provided multiple solutions to correct the situations at hand. Asbestos - check, hidden structural problems from previous owner's renovations - check, un-permitted work discoveries - check; we really had it all and they were helpful and informative partners at each and every pinch point. If there were ever complaints along the way, it was almost always a matter of issues with material choices or vendors, and I don't feel this is something BB should be held accountable for. In fact, in several instances, BB went the extra mile to try and resolve issues with vendors on our behalf. We will be working with them again, and have already referred them to several friends and family members.

Remodeling can be a daunting undertaking. We researched many companies, but after meeting with Rob Young, owner of Big Bear Remodeling, our search was over. Rob explained every step of our kitchen remodel and was available for all our questions and concerns (and yes, there were many!). The electrical, plumbing, finishing, and cabinetry workmanship was superb. When we decided to update our bathroom, it was a no brainer!! Big Bear Remodeling is highly recommended.

A while ago, having decided to tackle yet another home remodeling project on our main bath (as well as other areas of our home) we chose Big Bear of Rocky River, Ohio. This decision was based on positive reviews we found online. We previously had experience with two other area remodelers - one was awful; one, very good. However, we wanted to try another and contacted Big Bear. They were very responsive and we scheduled a meeting with Rob, the owner. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and we developed an instant rapport. Over the next few weeks we decided to also re-side the house and redo our 100-year old Lakewood front porch, to reduce as much maintenance work as possible, before retirement. Big Bear agreed to take on the entire package and provided what we thought a very reasonable quote for the project. Most of the work was done by the Big Bear team. For the additional work, such as the new vinyl siding, Rob included us is the decision-making on the sub-contractor. We ended up with great sub, yielding excellent results! The results of the remainder of the project - including custom carpentry by the in-house Big Bear team, were equally impressive! Remodeling projects are rarely, if ever, completed on time. Our latest project was no exception. However, what made the difference was the ongoing communication from Rob and his team. Whether a delay or unexpected issue, Big Bear communicated immediately, greatly eliminating the surprises often encountered in remodeling. Our project was completed a few weeks beyond the initially estimated wrap date, which was perfectly acceptable. The results were worth the wait! I highly recommend Big Bear, Rob and his team. They were a pleasure to work with; were extremely professional and took pride in their work. They treated our home as if it were their own! If we have another remodeling project to tackle, we’re contacting Rob and Big Bear!

Rob and the crew at Big Bear were great to work with right from the start. The final quote looked exactly like the estimate that we got during Rob's first visit, and the work was done in a clean, professional manner all the way through our project. Once the work was done we had a couple of touch-ups that we needed, and a couple of things we wanted to have added that we didn't discuss initially. All of that follow-up work was completed within a week of asking and our new addition looks great.

Everyone we dealt with at Big Bear was great to work with and we have already contacted them for additional work on our house. I would definitely recommend Big Bear Remodeling to anyone looking to get work done on their house.

I cannot recommend Big Bear Remodeling enough to anyone looking to improve the quality of their home. Rob and his team went out of their way to make our entire experience a pressure-free process. Rob's design suggestions were very helpful and he would even meet us at vendors to shop and pick out materials. His crew were flexible with their hours they worked and never left our home without cleaning up. Rob talked us through the duration of the process and would be quick to check in with updates and any surprises that the job presented. Overall, I would say Big Bear Remodeling was a first rate experience.

We are very pleased we chose Big Bear for our bathroom remodel. We had the opportunity to customize the design and are excited with the result. It is most important to note that we were guided along the way in our decision making towards staying within our budget.

We were very comfortable having the employees in our home, whether we were present or not. Everyone was very helpful. Whatever we needed and whatever we requested, Big Bear provided it to us. Two examples stand out. One was that we had a pertinent plumbing issue unrelated to the bathroom (that we did not know about), and for a reasonable fee, they fixed it for us. Another is that we had a somewhat embarrassing moment misunderstanding an installed accessory, and after the project was complete, they came over to show us how to properly use it. Just excellent.

Yes, there are remodeling companies that cost less, but if you want a stress free experience with maximum customer service, I recommend choosing Big Bear.

Big Bear remodeled my primary bathroom. At the initial visit the owner Rob sketched a great new plan for the space that no one else could match. The following layout meeting was at my home with the designer, plumbing foreman and Rob. Their knowledge and expertise reinforced my confidence that I had selected the best contractor. Through the planning phase and material selections Rob provided helpful guidance but never pressured. During the project the crew on site was skilled, courteous and dedicated to doing quality work. Communication with the project coordinator, office manager and Rob by text and email was excellent. The transformation of the finished bathroom is remarkable. It is completely revitalized. I highly recommend Big Bear. If I could, I would buy another house just to have Big Bear remodel it.

I have to admit I wasn’t looking forward to a total kitchen renovation after a disappointing bathroom redo a few years back (with a different company). However, I was wrong. Big Bear was an absolute pleasure to work with. They excel at communications; we received a weekly update throughout the renovation process. We knew each day which of Big Bear’s team would be on site and what they would accomplish while here. All of the workers arrived on time (by 8am); they were pleasant, customer-focused, and did quality work.

Kirk Hartung was awesome. He helped us with design ideas and was great at problem solving situations with our century home😉. If any problems arose, we were confident Big Bear would make it right…and they did. Our new kitchen is fantastic - done on time (if not ahead of schedule) and within budget.

I highly recommend Big Bear for your remodeling projects. The entire staff was professional, attentive, and talented. When planning my project I contacted several companies, as soon as I met with Big Bear I knew that I felt comfortable working with them. They helped to make my house goals come true!

Reasonable prices compared to competitors. Excellent communication and customer service. Quality of work met or exceeded all expectations. We have worked with Big Bear on three different projects. This last project was out most extensive and our best experience (removal or load bearing and non-load bearing walls, carpentry/trim work, interior door installation, floor refinishing, wall repair, electrical). I would highly recommend this company.

I had a great experience from start to finish with this company for my shower remodel. All employees were extremely courteous, professional, and kind. They showed up when they said they would and were always available if I had questions (even after the project was completed). It was on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for! The shower turned out beautiful - Dan was our foreman and did stunning tile work. We would gladly use them again for another project.

We did a complete tear-out and remodel of our bathroom. Big Bear does exquisite work, very high quality and with an eye on staying on schedule. They are VERY expert, and their recommendations worked out perfectly! The crew was tidy, organized, and perfectionist on all the little details. HIGHLY recommended!

We never used a remodeling company before. We had always just found various craftsmen and tradesmen and managed the project ourselves. But this bathroom was a big project and most of all, I didn’t want it to drag on for months, which can happen when you are managing your own project.

We found Big Bear on Angies’ list and we are so glad we did. I had definite ideas about what I wanted the bathroom to look like and their architect helped me make it a reality. Once I got everything picked out, they used rendering software to create images of what my new bathroom would look like.

Work did not start until all the materials and supplies were on site. Rob, the owner, held a meeting on site with the foreman just to make sure we were all on the same page. Communication between me and the company was great. I had direct text, phone, and email contact with Rob. In addition, I received a weekly phone call from Caitlin just to make sure everything was being addressed. If there are any issues, you can catch them in the very beginning and deal with it.

We had an excellent experience with Big Bear. They did what they said they would do. They showed up on time. They were respectful of my home. They protected the hardwood stairs and cleaned up every day. They worked efficiently and skillfully. My bathroom turned out better than I had imagined. And most importantly to me, they kept the project moving despite a few unexpected curve balls. We highly recommend Big Bear Remodeling!

We have worked with Big Bear for two large projects at our 100+ year old home; a kitchen/mudroom/bathroom remodel and an upstairs bathroom remodel. Both experiences were very positive, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

One thing that really stood out was their organization. They provided us with a clear weekly schedule of work and kept us informed of any changes or deviations in advance. If you have had any work done on your home, you understand how rare this is.

They were always quick to respond to any concerns we had and made sure we were kept in the loop throughout the entire project. Additionally, they took the time to check in with us regularly, sending a weekly email asking if we had any questions, concerns, or feedback for the team working at our home. The folks doing the work day to day are very thoughtful - during our upstairs bathroom remodel, we had a 6 month old whose nap time tended to overlap with when they started work in the morning. They consistently went out of their way to do any quieter tasks they could until she woke up.

Rob worked closely with us to ensure the project stayed within our budget, and we never felt pressured to make any decisions that didn’t align with our needs.

The contract was very thorough and clearly outlined the responsibilities of both parties, especially in terms of who would provide the materials. They also do not require you to purchase all new appliances through them, which allowed us to save some money while still getting quality work.

Overall, I highly recommend Big Bear for anyone looking for a contractor who values communication, flexibility, and professionalism. It was a pleasure working with them, and we would definitely hire them again for future projects!
