Davey recently replaced trees which died after 2 1/2 years. They understood the issues and resolved them to my satisfaction. I trust Davey to provide me with making decisions based on their extensive experience. They are worth the money!!

Disappointed

Great customer service!! I have been a customer of Davey Tree Company for many years and they’ve always done a great job. On short notice The Davey Tree crew did a shrub bed Spring cleanup including weeding, edging, mulching and trimming the shrubs. They definitely improved the curb appeal for my house to be sold!

Unresponsive

Way too much cost for the service.

Barely any top soil poor quality.. workers worked the horrible clay instead threw seeds by hand like sprinkling salt..bare spots everywhere weeds used hay not hydroseed..big difference between our lawn and neighbors hydroseed wouldn't recommend them at all

Arborist Brohn came for a consultation on my 45 yr old apple tree and walked the whole yard. He reviewed and suggested care for all my trees and shrubs. Very knowledgeable and professional!

A++ from quote to clean up. Had 7 pines, two tall maples and a tall hickory taken down. Very careful, tidy and on time. Great service and pricing!

Every interaction with Davey Tree has bee a success. They are a little more expensive than some other companies but they seem to be doing the best job. Worth the time and money.

While removing the stumps to our old trees and planting the new ones, they accidentally chewed through some of our outdoor lighting wires. We contacted them and they quickly fixed the problem and it is back to new. The new trees are beautiful!

We originally used a local person because it was less expensive and we wanted to help but it was a disaster. They even cut our electric cords and said it was our fault for having them plugged in when they came to trim. The next year we switched to Davey and will use them again this year. It costs a lot more but I guess that old adage is true you get what you pay for.

The work itself was ok (they didn’t explain to their employees well and showed up at 7 am unannounced which was unprofessional but otherwise I’d have forgiven).

They quoted me a certain amount. I was extremely clear that I wanted the total proposal. I paid them the amount of the proposal, then they sprung an extra $250 tax on my bill (wouldn’t they know if tax was required when the work was quoted? It’s kind of their business to know).

I complained to the salesman who told me it’s customary to include the tax and he didn’t know why they didn’t, but referred to some fine print on the back of the second page (I didn’t have a second page, go figure). They sent me to collections and I’ve been harassed ever since.

I learned my lesson, Davey Tree isn’t reputable; they’re just big. Use someone who doesn’t tack on extra fees after work is done.

I used Davey Tree to prune a maple recently. The arborist was knowledgeable and easy to work with & the crew showed up on time and did a wonderful job. They cleaned up very well. I will use Davey again in the future!
