After not receiving our annual treatment of our beautiful Ash tree, we were extremely worried and concerned for our tree. After a worker at Davey failed to communicate with us, we sought answers. We found Scott Heim, he came out spent time with us and recommended a newer treatment for our Ash tree. He made a bad situation better and now our beloved Ash tree will get a newer treatment and some much needed pruning. Thank you Scott for caring, this is what we expect from the Davey Tree Company.

The technician came out today. It was raining and he said the lime application would be fine. He sat in his truck for awhile because they had removed his rain gear, talked to my husband for awhile. Never finished the front yard and never did the back. The work sheet showed 20 minutes. We have an acre of lawn! Cannot be done in 20 minutes! Then his “ boss” ( Brohn Amstutz) left us a message saying that because we expected they fulfill their contract he had to cancel our service! We will be sure to pass this on to our neighbors and on social media.

I had scheduled for a tree removal that was to occur in 2 weeks or so. I received a phone call offering to do it earlier because a crew would be on my street that day. I happily agreed. Shortly, the crew arrived and a crew member introduced himself. Within the hour the tree was down, the lawn was left with no evidence that anything had occurred there that day, and they said their goodbyes. 100% professional.

We have used Davey Tree for years and just cancelled the service. They were asked to notify us a few days before an application of fertilizer/herbicide and they have missed this on several occasions. Today was the last straw - again they come with no phone call or notice and apply a fertilizer and herbicide. The fertilizer had to be low nitrogen because of weather conditions and the herbicide was granular and has to be watered in or we wait for rain before pets or kids can go on the lawn. Well I don't have time to water almost and acre of lawn and we don't expect any rain for at least four days. Thanks Davey tree for not calling first as you agreed to do and for assuming it was o.k. to put herbicide on my lawn under current conditions. I will now have to move an outdoor event inside and take my dogs somewhere else to sit. Your customer service is inadequate and we will go with another company for our lawn care needs. It's unfortunate because we like to support local businesses but only when they support us.

They have been working at my home for over twenty years. Also their lawn division. And worked for my mother and grandmother in Kent, Ohio before me.
Davey Tree’s work has always been excellent.
Most recently they removed 6 very old & tall Blue spruce trees with a crane.
Davey always does a walk- thru before to discuss the work & after the work is completed.
They are prompt . Always answers my questions. Very professional. Dependable.

I even use Davey Tree in Denver, Colorado for my daughter’s home.

Cost is a factor but so is experience and reputation. I was hesitant to call Davey Tree because I thought they would be out of my price range. But not so. Davey Tree's estimate was lower. They got the job done in less than two weeks while other companies were two and three months out. One of the other companies said it would take them two days to take the tree down. Davey Tree's crew did it in less than eight hours. The crew worked together in a well coordinate manner to accommodate their safety and their surroundings.

Don’t be left saying, “I wish I had called Davey Tree”, call Davey Tree.

I recently needed some tree work done, so I called three contractors to get estimates. I also added Davey Tree as a "top of the line" contractor to compare the others to. To my surprise, Davey Tree offered the best bid. Their experts arrived promptly, completed the trimming and take-downs we had requested, cleaned up the area, and even chipped up a few extra branches at no additional cost. Their service was exceptional and I was very happy with the results.

I've used Davey Tree at every home for almost 20 years and the past two years I have to beg to get service on my annual contract. Almost two months late aerating for the season. Asked if they "forgot", assured me I was on the schedule in the next few days even though every other home within a two mile radius was already aerated at the beginning of last month. Another week passed, still no service. I have other options, don't need this aggravation. Lots of competition now, plenty of other companies willing to deliver.

The workers removed three unhealthy trees. From start to finish they were amazing at their job. They removed the trees, cleaned up and were very professional and kind, they even took the time to explain what they were doing. I appreciate the Davey Tree Co. I would recommend them for all tree and lawn services and will continue to use them.

Davey has taken 11 trees from my property over the last 3 years. They are expert in every phase of tree service. They have been in business since 1880 !

Davey delivered impeccable service, both in terms of communication/scheduling and on site. They not managed to trim and shape 10, 20 ft. tall gum trees in our front yard, but they did so without damaging any of the grass or area around it. The team was in and out in less than an hour and it looks perfect. The value for what they provide and deliver is second to none. They have handled all of our tree maintenance and would recommend them to anyone, especially their manager Brohn.

Terrible lawn service after several years of adequate service. New tech for 2025 and the manager offered only excuses and more and expensive work. My neighbors' lawns are much better looking and serviced by other contractors. The attached pictures show only samples from 2 acres of terrible service. I discontinued their planting, shrub and mulching services in 2024 after several years of declining quality. Their tree spraying service continues to be excellent.
