We couldn’t be happier about the incredible tree work done by Russell Tree Experts at our home! From removing invasive trees to pruning the trees we retained, everything we needed done was executed at a high level. Highly recommend!

I have used Russell before to remove a few limbs and was very pleased. They did NOT advise removing my trees, just trimming them up, which was advice I appreciated. This time they pruned our VERY large oak tree. They did a great job and the cleanup was exceptional!

I am very pleased with the service that Russell Tree Experts provided. We have a tree removed, and other trees pruned. Service costs were comparable to other premier tree service providers. Russell was in constant contact - they delivered the quote, provided an estimate time frame of when the service would be provided, updated when the service finally could be performed, followed up with a phone call to ensure that good service was provided. They asked what communication medium I preferred (phone call or email). They were able to quote and do the work while I was away, so there was no need for me to take time off. They finished quickly and cleaned up thoroughly. Everything was left in place as I had left it, and nothing was damaged. I will most certainly use their services again and would recommend them to others.

I asked Russell Tree Service for a quote to fell two fairly tall white pines, we didn’t want them cleaned up or anything, simple put them on the ground so I can cut them up.

Their “tree expert” stopped by about a week after I asked for the quote to give us an estimate, he was here all of 45 seconds according to my security cameras, he didn’t even get out of his truck to look at the trees or talk with us about what we were wanting and then left. Then we get a quote for nearly $2600!

I ended up going with Tim’s tree service, they did a great job, did exactly what they said they would do for only $400.

I hope this is just a one off bad experience with Russell tree experts but I was very dissatisfied with the service.

I hired Russell Tree Experts to trim several large trees at our house, remove four large trees, and treat a row of arborvitae. Every Russell employee I met was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and professional. They did an excellent job and their cleanup was impeccable. I’m really impressed and would recommend them to anyone needing tree trimming, treating, or removal.

These guys came and gave me a quote (very affordable and a competitive price) which I accepted. Although I was not informed of when they would show up, they came about 5 days after the quote. I do see how this would be inconvenient for some, but I work from home, so it worked out. They removed a very large maple in about 4 hours and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. The next day the stump remover fella showed up and removed my stump. I was again not notified, but did not care. Everyone who worked for the company was kind, careful and efficient. I would definitely recommend their services for both quality and value. Thanks again!

Russell was fantastic. My house is close to my neighbors so they need to bring the equipment next to both houses. They took care not to damage my neighbors lawn, sprinklers and invisible fence as well as mine. You could hardly tell they were here after the tree was removed. They gave us an 8 week window but showed up after 4 weeks which was nice.

I was very impressed with everyone at Russell Tree Experts. The estimator, Walter, was pleasant, professional, and very knowledgeable. He patiently explained everything and answered all my questions, both at the initial appointment and by follow-up emails. The two-man crew (sorry, don't know their names) was likewise knowledgeable, courteous, and very professional. They worked carefully, pruned the large trees EXACTLY as outlined in the proposal, and did a tremendous job of fitting a large bucket truck into a VERY tight space in my driveway. Same goes for the office staff: courteous and professional. And to top it all off, their price was VERY competitive with several other bids I received -- much lower than I anticipated actually. No doubt I will use them again and recommend them to friends (as they were recommended to me by a friend of mine).

ADDENDUM 7/8/20: Russell performed my tree work in January. During the spring, I noticed a dead limb that they missed -- easy to do in the winter. I also had concerns about some low-hanging limbs over my neighbor's wires. I had asked in Jan about raising those higher, but the crew felt they would not be a problem. Once the tree was full with leaves, these limbs were encroaching on the wires. I called Russell, and within a couple of weeks they sent a crew back out, who took care of the dead limb and the low-hangers, no problem. They even removed another limb that had recently broken in a wind storm and was hanging by a thread -- no extra charge. Again, the crew could not have been more professional or courteous. Can't say enough about my excellent experience with Russell, top to bottom.

The crew arrived and promptly got to work on trimming and pruning our trees. They introduced themselves and were very professional. They also consulted with me on two trees on how high I wanted the bottom branches taken up. After they finished, they cleaned up very well and made sure I was satisfied with the work before collecting payment and leaving. I will definitely continue to work with Russell Tree Experts for all of our tree needs in the future!

A friend recommended Russell Tree Experts to trim a tree that was growing over our garage. We paid for a consultation beforehand (money well spent!) and were able to ask questions about the various trees and shrubs around our yard before scheduling trimming for 3 trees. They did a wonderful job, everyone was professional and quick to respond to inquiries. They left the yard spotless. I will definitely use them again!

We had a pine tree removed from our yard. The service was fantastic. The men who took down the tree were efficient and cleaned up all the fallen debris. Later the worker removing the stump was also efficient and left the property in good condition. The cost of the service was fair and reasonable. I would use this company again and recommend them to neighbors.

I had a dead tree taken down and four large stumps removed. From my first email inquiry all the way through to completion of the work, service was exceptional. Everyone I spoke with was very professional and courteous and the work was done exactly as agreed upon at a very fair price. They left no mess; in fact, aside from the work being completed, I wouldn't have known anyone was here. I'll never use or recommend another tree service in Columbus. These folks are fantastic!

Russell Tree Experts removed a very large white oak that was on the back side of our house, inside a deck that was built around the tree. The deck extended out over a steep slope. They took the tree up in pieces, rather than down, and lifted the pieces over the top of the house with a very large crane. The work was done safely and nothing was damaged. The whole job took about 3 hours. Everything was cleaned up. This was incredibly professional work, done at the best price. I would highly recommend Russell Tree Experts.

I had multiple tree companies come out to give me estimates on the removal of 21 trees from my property. Russell was half the price of the other companies. Their team of three showed up and had all trees removed in 3 hours. Exactly 1 week later the stump grinder was out and did an excellent job. We could not be happier and would recommend them to anyone!

Russell Tree is an excellent company, very courteous employees, very professional, and I feel the prices are great. They came and took out one very large (very dead) ash tree, along with a bit smaller ash tree. Yard looks great, fabulous clean up. My only regret is I did not know about Russell Tree Experts a few years ago when I had another very large tree down. The other company was very unprofessional and cleanup was not half the job Russell did. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a tree done. Look no further.

I enjoy gardening and had planted quite a few trees over 20 years ago that needed trimmed, especially overhanging the house. Jose was very knowledgeable and helpful in discussing what should be done, and also with advice on tree diseases and insect control. I originally thought the estimate was a little high, but I went with Russell because I knew they were a truly professional company. After the work was done and I saw how much work was done, how careful they were with the entire garden, and what a good job they did, I thought it was worth it. In addition, because the job took less time than estimated they reduced the price. The crew was very cooperative and took care of everything I ask about even climbing back up into a couple of trees to address my concerns. In summary, everyone I worked with at Russell; Jose, Amber, Caleb, Mike and Bobby was easy to work with and made it a pleasure.

For the past two days the Russell tree service professionals came and removed a dying 200 year old oak tree that was positioned between three buildings and multiple powerlines as well as the tree expanding four stories tall and equally spread out in all directions. I cannot say enough about their expertise, professionalism, and teamwork that was used to remove this albatross. Even through 90° weather the team endlessly delve into their work. And when the job was done… There wasn’t a trace behind. I cannot recommend this company high enough. They were promptly on time every day and stayed until the last task was done even then they were raking and cleaning up the yard. If you need tree service these are the guys to call!! The guys were on time, polite, and not only did a good job getting the tree down quickly but cleaning up with no debris left behind.

We had two large trees in our front yard trimmed as well as a large tree removed from the back yard. The crew showed up promptly as planned and did an excellent job. They have specialized equipment and all work was finished in one day and debris completely cleaned up. We elected to have stumps removed; they contacted the Utility Protection Service to mark all utility lines before proceeding. I would highly recommend this company. (Although my name is also Russell, we are not related).

Customer service + price. I quoted three companies to cut down a large tree in my yard - Russell was the least expensive but also one of the most qualified and professional. Customer service was fantastic from start to finish. Only issue was delay in getting the stump removed due to an equipment issue but these things happen. Brian, the stump remover, was very nice and did a great job.
