Constraction reviews in Tulsa, Oklahoma

I cannot say enough great things about this company. We have wanted to add on to our house for several years. I had several companies give estimates, some where very cheap but weren't going to do things the right way (proper foundation), some were crazy expensive. We had just about given up on finding someone to build our addition when I saw Powers Design and Build on an internet google search. I almost didn't call them just because I was tired of the search and had almost given up. I cannot tell you how glad I am that I did! Bill was so nice, so professional, on time always from start to finish. The beginning estimate he gave us for our room add on was within $1700.00 of our finished room. The time frame he gave us for the room to be completed in was on time, in fact about a week ahead of schedule. He makes you feel like and old friend. He came by regularly to check on the room and progress. We had a couple of issues come up, not him but just normal things that happen and he was quick to resolve them. We lived in our home during the remodel/addition and it was pretty painless, better than I had expected it to be. The workers Storm and Cody, I cannot say enough nice things about them. The nicest, cleanest guys & they do the best work. They are perfectionist and I loved it. Bill hires all the best and does things the "right way". He answers your calls and text the same day and I text him a lot! He is just the best. I really still can't believe how great the experience was, because I kept waiting for something to happen and it didn't. We absolutely love our new room and everyone that has seen it does too. It was better than we envisioned. I love it so much I thinking maybe I need to remodel the kitchen now too! Thank you so much Bill, Storm and Cody. You all are the best!!

We contracted Powers Design & Build for 2 of our remodeling phases. After obtaining several quotes for our renovation, we contracted with Powers because he was the most responsive to our ideas as well as the most knowledgeable and professional contractor. His team is always on time, prepared, communicative and skilled. We greatly enjoyed our experiences working with Bill and his crew! Looking forward to Phase 3!

It is always a pleasure to work with Bill, Julie and their crew of artisans. This time around the job needed to be done as quickly as possible and these folks did not disappoint. The design in kitchen and baths looks as good as I imagined and I had high expectations! Bill was readily available for consultations and willing to make my ideas work. I am a big fan of this group and will happily call on them for my next reno!!

Bill with Powers Design and Build did a great job for us on our major house renovation. This was our second time using them (the first was a rebuild of our detached garage). Our house was taken down to the studs, had a structural issue corrected, the upper and lower floorplan reworked for more space and better flow, all new electrical, plumbing and insulation, and one room converted into an owners en-suite bathroom with a walk-in closet. Everything turned out beautifully and mostly on-time (dealing with pandemic supply shortages was not fun). If you are looking to have your house or any of your rooms remodeled, call Powers Design and Build. You will not be disappointed!

We recently remodeled the lower level of our house with the help from Powers Design/Build.

Items included in the remodel were – Added Half Bath, Added Utility Room, Removed three walls and two doors, Raised a sunken living area, Enlarged and fully remodeled the kitchen, and Updated the fireplace.

For this type of undertaking, I was adamant that whoever managed the project have 1. A Plan, 2. A Pre-Defined Budget, and 3. A Reasonable and Realistic Timeline (I knew it couldn’t get done in two weeks).

Having driven past the Powers Design/Build sign on Yale for many years, I decided to contact Bill. Bill was super enthusiastic and didn’t hesitate to explain the process, potential pricing, and the services he offers. Remember when I mentioned that I required the Plan/Budget/Timeline? Bill provided all three as part of his standard process – very professional. Some may not think this is a big deal, but if you have ever worked with a contractor who doesn’t have a plan, it can be very frustrating.

All of Bill’s technicians/employees/craftsmen are top notch, clean, professional, and produce excellent work. Would use his services for a future project, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Powers Design/Build to others.

We used Bill Powers to perform a major remodel/addition to add a kitchen and bathroom to our house.

We were extremely happy with the quality of work that Bill performed, as well as with his responsiveness. Moreover, Bill was able to tour our house, talk with us, and during our first meeting sketch out an outline that gave us everything we wanted from our new kitchen. You can tell he has decades of experience in remodeling homes.

We will definitely use Bill again for our next project!

I had a great experience working with Bill to remodel two bathrooms in my home. Master bath was a complete remodel. We moved walls, plumbing, electrical, everything. I was very happy with the quality of work performed by the builders, electricians, plumbers, tile workers, painters, and dry wall workers. Everything came out looking really good, and within the originally quoted budget. I am very happy with the final product and the professional work that was done at my home. I would recommend Powers Design, and would be happy to work with Bill again in the future if the opportunity arises.

Bill Powers was easy to work with and managed our addition and renovation on a 1935 house very well from design through construction. He stayed on a reasonable schedule and communicated changes timely. His subs are high quality particularly his carpenters/craftsmen and the tile guys were excellent. Bill communicates frequently with updates and provides alerts if unforeseens occur in a timely manner. Overall, very satisfied customers.

Bill and his team finished a project in our home over two years ago. We have had zero issues and highly recommend this company. Bill is professional and meticulous and his team is very skilled and hard-working. Thanks Bill!

The most recent project completed by Powers Build and Design was the replacement of 20 windows and the front door / sidelights in our 1922 Craftsman home. This was our 3rd project with Powers Build and Design since 2015. There are many reasons we continue to trust Bill and his team for work done. Bill is always available, routinely checks on the project (daily), and keeps us apprised of any issues. His crews clean up at the end of each day and are polite and a pleasure to have in and around our home. Since 2015, Powers Design and Build have completely remodeled and renovated our home. One thing we believe sets Bill apart is his eye for design. His insights and experience are invaluable when taking on large projects!

Bill and his team renovated our bathroom, and we could not be happier with it. It is beautiful! Everything was great from start to finish. Prior to our renovation, the layout of our bathroom was terrible. Bill was able to see outside the box and came up with a creative plan and a fantastic new layout. The project was completed on time, and we got everything that we wanted and stayed within our relatively tight budget. It seemed that staying within the limits of our budget was as important to him as it was to us. I was also impressed with how responsive he was. When I sent him an email or text with a question or concern, he generally responded within a few hours. When there was a slight hiccup, it was typically resolved the next day. All of the people who worked on the renovation were very professional. I have heard horror stories about renovations, and this was not the case. Overall, it was a pleasant and fun experience.

Bill was extremely professional throughout the process of building an addition on our home. He was responsive to all of our many questions, visited the site often, and utilized excellent workers. We are very pleased with his work and love our addition. We highly recommend Bill!

Powers Design & Build is truly something special. Julie’s energy is absolutely contagious. She brings so much passion and care to every conversation. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in their work is unmatched in the Tulsa area. The homes they design and build are simply stunning!!! I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!

Powers Design & Build has created some of the most gorgeous homes I’ve seen in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, and Jenks. Their combination of thoughtful design and expert building is unmatched, and it’s clear they have the experience and reputation to back it up. A trustworthy, talented team!!!! Highly recommend!

I have worked with Bill Powers and his team on two major remodel projects in the Point South area of Tulsa. I've been very happy with the professionalism of Bill and his staff and subcontractors. Work is completed on time and with careful attention to detail. It is very important to have someone I can trust with my most valuable assets.

I highly recommend the excellent team at Powers Design and Build. They recently took a massively outdated, ugly kitchen that had not been updated since the 1950s down to the studs and made it beautiful! Bill, the owner, was on top of everything going on through the entire process and made sure it was done right, and Rick, our kitchen designer, came up with a fabulous layout that worked within our existing footprint. They hire quality subcontractors - special shout out to the plumbing guys at Omega and our drywall guy, Henry! - and hooked us up with Surfaces for an absolutely gorgeous unique countertop. We did go over budget a bit, but that was by choice - Bill made sure to pass on savings where possible.

Bottom line, if you want a quality reno job done by LOCAL craftsmen and trades who aren't going anywhere, Powers Design and Build is who you want to call!!!

Working with Powers Design & Build was a truly positive experience. From the beginning, they crafted an excellent plan that perfectly captured our vision and we absolutely love the final result. Our kitchen, family room, bar area, and pantry were transformed into an exceptional space that feels both functional and beautiful.
The team was professional and skilled. Carpenters Ray and Mark stood out for their responsiveness, punctuality, and craftsmanship. Every specialist from the plumber to the tile floor installer, countertop team, and fireplace tile installer delivered top-notch work.
One recommendation: be sure to document all decisions and changes in writing to keep everything clear and on track.
Overall, we’re thrilled with the outcome and recommend Powers Design & Build for anyone seeking quality and creativity in their home renovation.

OMGosh, Bill Powers took my vague idea and turned it into a dream. Our kitchen renovation is a total transformation.
The workers were clean, respectful, and very pleasant to interact with. Work was planned well and aside from the expected dust, I still felt like we had a “home” rather than a construction zone. Thanks, Bill. We love it!

I'm sitting in my new sunroom addition to our home while I write this review with a big smile on my face. I can not recommend Bill Powers and his team of professionals enough! One of the most important aspects of going forward with a home addition project is the level of communication and responsiveness from the contractor. Any time we had a question or wanted to receive some feedback from Bill, we always had a reply the same day. He kept us updated every step of the way. The subcontractors working on our sunroom were very knowledgeable and valued craftsmanship. We felt like each one of them went above and beyond to make sure their part of this project was completed with the utmost attention to detail. Bill did his best to keep us on budget, and his design ideas were spot on and in complete alignment with our vision for our new space. Give Powers Design & Build a call. You won't regret it!

Powers design blew the roof off, literally! They moved staircases, raised a new 2nd story roof, updated all windows, gutted and rebuilt master suite and kitchen all while working with us to maintain the 1929 character of the house. He is a master at scheduling and making sure down days are kept to a minimum! His crews are professional and very meticulous at their crafts! After 9 months, we are in our massively renovated home and absolutely love it I am not much of a photographer but here are a few after pics. Would absolutely recommend Powers Design & Build for any size job!

I has been nearly three years since Powers Design and Build completed a beautiful kitchen remodel for our home. Recently, I noticed the finish on some of my beautiful cabinets was peeling around the knob handles. After contacting Bill Powers about this he immediately sent Julie Fulton out to inspect the cabinet doors. They agreed that this should not be happening, contacted the manufacturer's rep and within weeks ordered a complete new set of cabinet doors for my ENTIRE kitchen. This would ensure that the shade of the finish on ALL my cabinet doors would match perfectly. The process was completed quickly, efficiently, and FREE of charge. Julie was SO friendly and an absolute delight to work with. Ray was conscientious, hard working, and the cabinet doors were hung beautifully. Thank you, Thank you!

I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas Present!
Sincerely,
Christy A.
