Birch Co did a great job building our home. They customized everything we asked and were very responsive to questions and concerns. They even made some great suggestions on things they could add to make the home suit our needs better. It was a great experience and they truly care about their clients.

Found this home during the Parade of Homes 2024. We closed on it a month ago. We were told we would get our warranty information at the closing table. We are still waiting with no communication from the builder.

Prior to closing, the owners advised there was an issue with how the fridge was cut and needed to cut out some of the cabinets above the fridge and we would have our cabinet fronts within 2 weeks after closing. We are still waiting with no communication from the builder.
They also advised us, we would do a blue tape walk through and show us how things work within the house, well, the listing agent asked us to come on a Friday only to find out the builder was refinishing the floors. He asked us to come back on a Sunday and we ended up doing to it on our own.
We compiled a checklist and signed an agreement the items would be fixed by a week or so after closing. While most of the items were completed, we received push back on crooked baseboards and filling in the gaps of the uneven baseboards despite the builder agreeing to fix the items. We were told that fixing a crooked baseboard could impact the wall stucture, etc. My point is we signed an agreement and that should have been stated prior to signing.

We decided to add a sink and dishwasher in the butler’s pantry prior to closing and the builder was open to doing it but the work would be finished post closing and we were fine with it considering it was last minute. We signed an agreement that work would be done a week after closing. The work was not done in time and again no communication from the builder. We ended up calling our realtor and the listing agent to get a status update. We moved in 2 weeks after closing and the people who actually did the work really rushed this job and we ended up having a plumbing catastrophe to where we had no plumbing for most of our moving day and had to deal with feces leaking all over our garage. Despite, texting the builder, the response was slow. Well, once the plumbers and Broken Arrow water came, we were advised it was an issue with the flapper and it could have been avoided if it was put back on correctly. We also had to call the people doing the work several times due to issues like not installing the garbage disposal and a terrible paint job. When my husband would contact the builder, he would not respond and when my realtor contacted him, he was told that they contacted the people doing the work.
I contacted the listing agent asking for the other owner to call me. I am still waiting….

Right now we are dealing with a dishwasher that does not dry dishes, quality control issues like the bottom frame of fridge either pops off or loose, super hollow bedroom doors due to the amount of noise coming thru when my husband and I are both in meetings, various circuits popping at LEAST once a week.
For example, we had a freezer in the garage.
Our rain bird irrigation system and the freezer are the only things plugged in but the circuit keeps popping.
We are popping circuits in the laundry room, bedrooms and most recently, A/C rec.

Buying a house that you love should be a happy time, but this has honestly been the worst experience for us in all the homes we have purchased. If the owners do not want to deal with customers, they need to hire someone or several people to handle customers.
Not responding and sending out workers who do not have the full picture of what was agreed upon, is unprofessional.

It has been very stressful and while we are determining what our next steps will be, I highly recommend you seriously think twice before purchasing a home from this builder. Considering they are not a production builder and spending over $600k.

However, their listing agent, Bailey Ploch, is phenomenal!
Use him if you need a realtor.

Update 5/23/25-The Birch Co has fixed most of the issues in my home and we can finally enjoy our home.

Had to gave a 1 star but they really deserved 0 stars. Never do what they say their going to do. Had to make changes because they couldn't do stuff I wanted. No one ever showed up to work and if they did they didn't finish or come back to finish. They order wrong stuff. Was told multiple times something was going to be done on a particular date and months later still not done. Wouldn't recommend them.

If I could give them a zero I would. I ended up taking BirchCo to arbitration in the State of Oklahoma. I was awarded my deposit back, and have not yet received. They have one week to send the check. Angus Martin is going to bankrupt this company. My experience has been the same as everyone else’s on Google reviews. Stay away from this company, unless you have money to burn. It’s unfortunate, because I did do my due diligence, and they still got me.

1/2/25 UPDATE - They paid a portion of the deposit but took out their salesperson's commission and a ridicules amount of the deposit. I am filing in small claims court for the balance.

We paid a deposit for them to build a house, and it has been a nightmare. On most things, they claim to have under quoted, forgot to quote, and even some designs like a storm shelter in the closet are not possible with the design. It was all flowers and rainbows when we met to design the house but once they got their deposit money, suddenly, they couldn’t use our financing (had to use theirs), designs weren’t possible, and prices jumped. I never even got a final cost once they figured out what the real cost will be.

Angus Martin agreed to give me the deposit back, minus actual costs incurred, and walk away (I have text messages) due to their breach of contract but after several weeks of delays, they aren’t responding. I have hired an attorney to sue in civil court and filed an official complaint with the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection office. All emails, contracts, receipts...etc have been sent to the AG for investigation.

Attached is the text chain where Angus was delaying returning my deposit after agreeing to refund me minus actual costs.

We purchased our home in 2022 and all of the reviews were positive. However, we didn’t realize most of the reviews were of vendors and employees/real estate agents, not customers.

The company cut so many corners in our home to save money. Poorly graded, only driveway in our neighborhood that doesn’t slope away from the home so it constantly pools water and is cracking and effecting the foundation. Kitchen island slopes so water constantly slopes down. Fireplace wasn’t built to code and was told by the fireplace company it was a hazard. All of these issues wasn’t fixed by the builder. The toilets were over flooding the floors when we first moved in and couldn’t use them until days later when they could finally find and fix the problem. There were so many other issues that they fixed within 2 years.

I highly recommend avoiding this company. The build quality is poor and the materials they use are cheap, from the MDF cabinets that are already damaged and chipping, to the screen doors that don’t slide properly, to the cheap paint that has been chipping from the first year, it is horrible!

Truly, one of the BEST builders in the Tulsa and surrounding areas. Their team is great to work with, and their new owners, Josh Keltner and Angus are top-notch. If you are looking for a luxury builder, this is the company to go with.

From start to finish, these guys are awesome. They're not like some homebuilders out there that let you "customize" a floor plan; they really help you design your home from scratch. Then, they see the project all the way through from concept to move-in. If you're looking for a next-level homebuilding experience, this is the company to do it for you!

We've worked with BirchCo on multiple projects and continue to be impressed by their professionalism, responsiveness, and high-quality work. As a civil engineering firm, we rely on partners who understand timelines, communicate clearly, and deliver consistent results—and BirchCo checks every box. Their team is proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely easy to work with. Whether it's demolition, excavation, or site prep, they bring the right equipment, the right crew, and the right mindset. I highly recommend BirchCo to anyone looking for a reliable and experienced contractor, these are your Design/Build Team.

Avoid This Builder – A Nightmare Experience

Our experience with Birch Co. has been nothing short of a disaster. From the very beginning, communication was abysmal—getting updates felt like pulling teeth, and when we did get responses, they were vague, misleading, or just flat-out wrong.

The lack of attention to detail in the construction process was shocking. Mistakes that should have been caught early—plumbing leaks all over, improper gas lines, and many more items—were ignored until we pointed them out. Even then, getting them to fix anything required endless follow-ups. It was clear there was little to no oversight of their subcontractors, who cut corners at every opportunity.

To make matters worse, pricing surprises kept popping up with no warning. We were constantly hit with unexpected charges for things that were either supposed to be included or that were never properly communicated. Transparency was non-existent.

If you value your time, money, and sanity, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This builder does not care about quality, customer service, or delivering what they promise.

I genuinely have ZERO COMPLAINTS for these incredible people and incredible teams they have building the homes. Everyone is so kind and caring towards everyone they meet, and you can see the passion they put into building the homes that they do. Its the quality and attention detail they have from the planning, to the actual construction; you can tell they care!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Angus & Birch Co for several years, and their commitment to quality—both in service and craftsmanship—is consistently top-tier. If you’re looking for a premium home builder in the Tulsa area, look no further. I entrusted them with the remodel of my personal residence, and they exceeded every expectation. I recommend Birch Co and their team without hesitation.

    To semi truckers only!!!!!!
Please call them as soon as you know you are delivering to them if you have a semi. If you have their address on Yale as delivery. Even if it is after hours, leave a message. THEY do call back after hours (I called early, not saying if you call at 2am, you would get a call back). You can NOT take a semi down their road. They will instruct you what to do. What I might tell you at the time you read this might be outdated.
If this post helped you, please give it a thumbs up, and don't forget to leave your review.

I have undergone two major remodeling projects with Bill Powers and his team. Everyone treated my home with the utmost respect. Bill answered my endless emails promptly and “talked me off the ledge” when I thought my ultimate vision would never become a reality. He turned my house into my forever home.

I was so happy with the service I received from Bill Powers that, even though I went with a different firm, I wanted to post this review. Mr. Powers quoted a kitchen redesign for a modest house. His attention to detail, his eye for design and ability to explain the processes and features was incredible. Highly recommend.

Powers D&B provided very good service. At the top of my list is responsiveness and easy access via email and phone. PD&B was excellent in this regard. If I sent a question via email, I usually had an answer within 30 min. Also, our complete condo remodel turned out just as we had imagined and within the promised time frame so we were very satisfied with the end result. Also, at the time of our remodel, we weren't sure how long we would live in this condo, so we wanted to keep our costs reasonable and PD&B helped us accomplish this. I have recommended PD&B to friends and other residents in our building.

Bill powers and his team are pros! I’ve had the pleasure of working with Bill Powers and his staff on several occasions. I cannot say enough good about their process and dedication to quality. If you’re looking for a company you can trust, one that can walk you through the challenges of remodeling or new construction, Powers Design & Build is a great choice! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Worked with Bill to renovate almost the entire house. Moved walls, switched the kitchen and dining rooms to make one large kitchen/living/dining area. Added a screened porch and converted a bedroom into a beautiful en suite bath and closet. Bill was great in maximizing every inch of space in an 1,800 sq ft house!

Bill was easy to work with, great with scheduling with little to no down time. Was on site at least once a week to check on the progress and to address any questions I had. Would work with him again!
