Used this service for my elderly mother because I reside in Texas. TERRIBLE customer service. There was one period of 5 to 6 weeks where scheduled appointments were not kept and the lawn literally grew out of control. Customer Service was useless. After this was finally straightened out I got two cuts and was charged long grass fees that were equal in charges as to price of the cut. When I signed up I was told the long grass fee was $13. I finally cancelled the service and will never recommend it to anyone.

This is a great service, Easy to use And a fair price

It would have been one star but the guy who showed up to mow was cool and custom service was respectful. But their app barely works and I said I needed my backyard mowed not the front, first time everything went well but then they just randomly sent someone over when I wasn't home, they mowed just the front and tried to bill me $50 for it, I explained I never asked anyone to mowed the front and they took it off my bill. At least the neighborhood kid who keeps asking to mowed my lawn, asked first.... Good business idea but it takes more than just good ideas to start a company.

I actually worked for them and used the service as well. I honestly think the gentleman that came to my house I'd rate him 5 stars. Very knowledgeable and lawn starter I've been with 4 yrs there understanding they work with you I think their becoming a better company each year.

Terrible service. Never did our first business with them. They never showed up. That morning he sent a message saying that he would not be able to show up till the next day when we were scheduled for Friday. That did not work out. When we are scheduled for an appt, that needs to stay the same. Then we get a message claiming his truck broke and the message did not go through. They said we needed 3 mows before we can cancel. We did not even have one mow and do not think we should have to follow this rule when the guy cannot even show up when he says. This looks very poorly and will NOT recommend them!

Edit to add: The guys name is Michael Phipps. When my husband responded that it was unacceptable and said he wanted our service cancelled, the guy said "you can do that yourself!" He also blocked him from contacting him again when he asked for his supervisor.

Edit to add: we did speak to someone. They did cancel our service without the 3 mow minimum. The tulsa location is the one we had issues with. I can’t speak for the other locations but will still say I would not recommend.

This is just my first week. A simple call to en-suite ended up with getting my service for mowing scheduled and mulching and shrub trimming. All was done on time and Josh, who is responsible for our yard has been great to work with thus far. The prices are affordable, the service is timely and you can do everything through an app on your phone. Absolutely love this service!

Wonderful lawn mowing service I recieved from Lawnstarter and with James through Jim'sLawn and Garden Service. Yard looks wonderful.

It's a good subscription service, if a Pro cancels on you, they will assigned another Pro to get your lawncare ASAP.

I have been using LawnStarter for over a year now and have had a great experience. The crew I have worked with is very responsive and always do an outstanding job on all the mowing, trimming, and cleanup. All scheduling issues that have popped up were handled very quickly and professionally with excellent communication. Would highly recommend.

This is a terrible company. We have had multiple issues with this company, the worst of which is them rescheduling us multiple times in a row after not showing up and just never mowing our lawn in 4 weeks. After multiple conversations with customer service we were told, “we will make sure someone shows up today that is highly rated”, once again a no show. When they have showed up in the past it was 50/50 whether or not the lawn would look decent. On top of that, our very first lawn mow through LawnStarter resulted in our glass storm door being broken. Just can’t say anything good about this company.

The service was perfect. He got all the grass off the sidewalk with the blower, and cut the grass to a nice length. Definitely recommend to others!

Set up for bi weekly mowing took them two weeks to come out and they taked on a $50 long grass fee. Then they said my grass didn't need cut on the second two weeks and processed to reschedulefor around 1 and a half months. I am sure had I not canceled they would have tag on the long grass fee again. Edit I am editing my review to add I have been in contactwith them and they have shown a willingness to try and correct the earlier listed problems.

I tried them again and after setting everything up I text saying they had a sooner opening and they would call. Missed the call but called back 5 mins later. Know one knew what I was talking about. But that everything was good. Got a call back 5min later the person reset my password on me then couldn't email me the new one and all because they wanted me to use there app. I canceled again.

Lawn starter is awesome. They hooked me up with an awesome company, Jim's lawn service. Jim's does an awesome job. I highly recommended them.

Overall it is great. Not being able to see what the customers interface looks like can be challenging. I also feel like the payouts are low for some properties because the cost does not reflect weed eating time. Not all properties are the same.

Jordan from JAE team was the Pro that was assigned to our lawn. He messaged me and let me know when he would be there. He was running two hours late. But he let me know. When they got there they did an excellent job on our large yard and it looks awesome. Thank you.

Do not hire these ppl. They start off fine but will start showing up unannounced when they’re supposed to tell you a few days ahead of time. Mine showed up a week early unannounced without me getting the chance to reschedule or say it was ok to come out and charged me anyway. Very disappointing

Do not use them, they will make it sound cheap and even if you do a one time service they tell you that you can pause the account. Although they will mow your yard when you are not home and charge you $50 and tell you that there is no refunds, even though the person on the first call told us it would be taken care of but yet a $50 charge is outstanding and we no longer live at the property so hopefully they don’t try to charge me again without me knowing although the account was canceled! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY there are plenty of other options and probably less shandy of a company!

Great lawn care! Safe, efficient and was friendly about my requests and did not miss a beat with the care for my flowers

Aaron was great. Used a combination of a riding mower, a push mower, a weed whacker and a blower at the end. Lawn looks great.
