Our experience with KGC was fantastic. We had several different types of damage to our Portland home after the incredibly high winds of the 2024 ice storm. As a result, we interacted with more than one KGC team in house doing our home repairs. Each member or each team was great! We will undertake additional, optional, work with KGC and recommend them highly.

The project came in above quote however, there were issues found that needed attention. I was shown everything that needed repair prior to them proceeding. Very happy with outcome!

If you really want to have a solid roof for many years to come, you have to understand what is important and be able to pay for it. Ryan at KGC immediately saw the problems of our roof and emphasized the importance of proper ventilation. We also chose KGC because they use Malarky shingles which, in our research, is supposed to be excellent for the Pacific Northwest. We also appreciated the understanding for the right materials if going solar in the future. The process of this big purchase item and installation was pleasant every step of the way.

I wanted to thank Keith Green Construction. We needed a window replacement as prior owners upgraded windows except for the garage. Most companies are not wanting to replace just one window. I appreciated that Keith Green Construction was the most reasonable and by far the most professional. I will definitely be keeping this company in mind for future projects.

We worked with Chris on a project in Beaverton for one of his clients by adding a new storm system and hooking into the city Main. Working with Keith has been a breath of fresh air and even with many hiccups the job went well for everyone involved. I would definitely work with Keith on another project.

Less than a month ago, Keith Green Construction came out to our house to do us yet another solid. In times past, we’ve had them repair all kinds of deficiencies and make all kinds of upgrades in our 1910 farmhouse – they’ve done roof-work, reframed and installed a fine new front door, bathroom construction, installed attic pulldowns and internal doors, and completed a massive project to bring the entire southern facing of our home up to modern code and give us a sharp new back deck. This time, the job was to turn a window into a door and give us internal access to our garage at long last.

Our house has a lot of quirks, including a general lack of straight lines that might intimidate lesser contractors. You can’t just measure carefully and proceed, you have to be ready to find all sorts of strange jerry-rigs and odd, unexpected spaces and structures as you go, do away with them or adapt to them as the situation calls for, and move on. Working out here is not for the faint of heart, or for the unimaginative.

In the middle of our quirky house, there used to be an internal bedroom which sported a single window. The downside to that window was that it looked out onto the interior of our neglected lean-to style garage, a jumbled cobwebby mess. Our solution for the past 23 years was to avoid going in there unless we absolutely had to, and to put a piece of laminate board up in front of the window so that we didn’t get the creeps every time we went into the room.

The solution to quite a few of the problems in our very-compact house turned out to be blasting that window out, installing a door, and building a short, wrap-around wooden stair to land on the concrete pad of the garage. Before construction, we called in exterminators and largely rat-proofed the house, then carefully disposed of their leavings and cleared out the garage enough so that we didn’t feel bad turning the space over to KGC to build in. It was still pretty tight in there though, with all our mounded junk pushed aside and, on one day, even a second contractor on-site - KGC was working in the back, and a garage door company was removing the old rollup garage door and installing a new one in the front.

This project was actually one of the simpler ones for KGC, and more straightforward than most – but it still required flexibility and adaptability in addition to planning and carpentry skill. And when it was done, we could see that our new access was almost immediately paying off.

The garage is now accessible not only through the front rollup garage door, but now internally from the house. The next time we have to attend to our fuse-box, no going outside in the weather for us. And the garage is experiencing a renaissance, now that we can easily reach it from inside the house. It's clean and orderly for the first time in two decades. And we can find and make use of all of our tools at last.

I have always appreciated how reliable and capable Keith Green Construction is. We’re on a first-name basis with a number of the professionals working there, because we keep coming back when we need advanced levels of skill, and people who are thoughtful and adaptive to changing circumstances. We are accustomed to receiving regular briefings on the progress of any given project, and we have never been blindsided by unexpected expenses – these sorts of things have a way of telegraphing themselves as a project unfolds, and the regular briefings and accounting summaries that we get keep us apprised of the scope at all times.

If you want a contractor that is knowledgeable, personable, is upfront about risks and downsides, is engaged in every step of the project from sketching out what you hope to achieve to the final cleanup, and who respects your space and your privacy, there’s simply nobody else out there who’s going to give you that to the extent that KGC does. Keith’s philosophy of positive engagement with his clients and his integrity are reflected in every person who works for him. We will keep coming back for every new project that our quirky old house demands.

Kieth Green Construction did an amazing job repairing our kitchen. Travis, and Cody were very professional, on time every day, and lined up all the subs before they started, so we had no delays. We highly recommend them for any construction projects you have.

My husband and I recently had our roof replaced. We were originally planning to go with a roofing company, but I'm so glad we decided to use Keith Green Construction instead. We had not planned to have any additional work done, but, upon inspection, their estimator (Ryan) recognized that our attic was improperly ventilated. We ended up having KGC add more ventilation when they replaced the roof.

For the five years that we have lived in our home, we have had to endure uncomfortably high humidity levels in our bedroom. A few years back, we purchased a dehumidifier for the room and on bad days it would pull close to a gallon of moisture out of the air. I did not think there was a solution until Ryan explained that our attic had insufficient ventilation. I'm so thankful for his expertise. There has been a DRASTIC difference since getting the roof done. We can sleep comfortably and no longer have to use a dehumidifier. Not only did the added vents improve the health of our attic, it improved our quality of sleep.

The crew was professional, they sent daily progress photos to show what they had accomplished, and Keith personally came out to check on the progress and quality of work. We are so thankful for all KGC has done for us! We look forward to working with KGC the next time we have construction needs!

I recently had Keith Green Construction do a renovation of my deck. This is the second project which I have had done by them. The deck had not been well maintained by the previous owners and I was a bit apprehensive about having the work done. I thought the deck would need to be completely replaced.
I contacted Keith Green Construction to have them do an estimate. As I feared, there was a lot of work to be done, however the estimator, Wid Payne assured me that they could repair the deck and did not have to replace it completely. He was honest and straightforward about what the minimum work needed to be done. He took the time to explain, to me the options and let me decide what I wanted to do.
As the work progressed, some more issues were found, again Wid explained what needed to be done and suggested different courses of action and let me decide what to do.
I was able to watch the work and I saw that the crew was careful and took the time to do the work properly. They also did a great job cleaning up after the work was completed.
I was extremely pleased with the results, it looked great even before I had the stain applied. After the stain was applied I was amazed at how great it looked. Now, after a couple of months of Oregon Fall and Winter weather it is still looking great. I have not found any defects in the construction, it feels solid, no loose boards, the railing is secure, no nail pops, just an all around excellent job. I am completely satisfied with the work they did. Keith Green Construction will be my first choice when I need any work done on my house.

The roof was installed in a timely manner. All work
related questions were answered quickly and in easy to understand language. The company went beyond what I thought was possible in today’s environment. They exceeded all my expectations!

After much research and review of bids and conversations with Keith Green's staff I chose Keith Green Construction to replace our roof. It was an excellent choice. High quality workmanship and follow up.

This business parks all sorts of run down vehicles and materials and junk along North Dakota St. You’d think a construction company would have their own place to park all their garbage instead of resorting to a neighborhood street that is no where near their listed business address.
