Great crew, great work. Dave is super easy to work with and communicates well, even when we had a few major hiccups on our end. We’ve done 3 projects with them already and have another scheduled. Highly recommend, 10/10!

David and his crew did an excellent job on a clean sheet of paper re-landscape of our backyard (including excavating, turf and a retaining wall). David is very easy to work with and was attentive to our needs and desires. As for his crew, what can I say, they were great! Hardworking, professional and especially the retaining wall installers displayed an attention to detail and precision I was not expecting. Finally, the price was more than competitive. I recommend Preferred Landscape Services 100%. They will get my future work as well!

Preferred put in artificial turf and extended our patio. Absolutely LOVE it and so do our two dogs. They can go out to play all year round now and it looks great. So professional and great to work with. Highly recommend them.

My experience with Preferred Landscape Services was a mixed bag. On one hand, during the initial phase of defining the scope of the project, the project lead did a great job walking me through my options for what I wanted to have done. He was very responsive as I made multiple revisions to the project's requirements. And, the final product ended up being generally excellent and went a long way to improving the quality of the landscaping for the property.

On the other hand, I was asked for payment before the project was done. I also needed to be intricately involved to make sure things were done correctly. For example, we agreed to replace all cinder blocks around the foundation's vent wells. But the team was not going to replace them all, not tell me, and then just deduct what wasn't done from the second half of the payment to get the team moving onto their next project; until I spoke up about this. There was also a transition between grass and gravel that wasn't going to be squared off nicely, and I needed to sit down with the worker liazon to show him that we needed to adjust this to make it look nicer. And, getting the sprinkler placement correct for the front and backyards was a lot of work. I had asked for all sprinkler placement to be run by me up front, but this wasn't done and I needed to check things as they were going in. No plans were made before installation and were instead done on the day of installation. And, while we made a last minute change to resod the entire front yard, it was not explained to me what that would mean in terms of the grade of the land. We had talked about regrading a small section of the front yard, but the entire front yard got regraded. This ended up raising the land 2-3" above a telecom box that they could not raise because it was electrical And ultimately create problems for the HOA when they mow the front yard. Instead, Ziply Fiber would need to come out, raise it, charge me for that work, and then I'd need to put a new bid in with the landscaping crew to come out and fix the topsoil properly and spend even more money.

To be fair, I could have managed the HOA part better since their approval was needed before work could begin. This likely made it difficult for the team to schedule around this. I must applaude the team for being flexible with the scheduling here because that was likely a headache for them. But even as this was being done, the project lead needed to pause the project until we got clarification with the landscaping HOA lead for how to tap into the water source for the backyard. So both sides contributed to the scheduling difficulty here to correctly work with the HOA, and this highlights the difficulty of having landscaping done for a home that's part of an HOA.

Like I said, the end result is generally excellent, but it was a lot of work to get there and not what I would have expected given the amount of money this project cost. Would I recommend Preferred Landscape Services? Yes, but be as detailed as possible upfront, try to minimize changes while balancing any HOA requirements with what the landscapers can and are willing to do, and get these details in the contract.

Did a great job. The guys that put our French drain in were awesome. Also, they made sure my patio was cleaned off. Would definitely use them again.

We needed to have our raised garden frames replaced and we had used Preferred Landscaping before so we contacted David to see if they did this type of work. Fortunately for us they did and we were very satisfied with the job preformed. The frames were very professionally installed and the workmen were outstanding. We highly recommend Preferred Landscaping for your landscaping project.

We have only had preferred for a few months but so far so good.I recently asked to have my mowing day changed and they fit my requested day into their schedule the next week. And still have Fransico as my guy which I was hoping for.

I had preferred landscaping put in four sprinklers in my side yard because we were having a water with hoses and it took too long and we couldn’t keep up with it and it would burn up in the sun. I was very impressed how efficient and quickly they got the job done, it looks great they put it back almost exactly like it was and the sprinklers work great I really would recommend them to anyone and would have them help me in the future. Dave was quick to respond to my email schedule a visit to come look at my yard. I explained to him that due to the size of my yard I'd probably need to do my projects in phases, and he gave me some good input into the order that things should happen. He followed up with a proposal that night, with each area separated so that I could see the price in phases.
His guys came out a couple weeks later to install a fence. They were courteous and hardworking, but what I really loved is how they would hold each board up, and then flip it to see which side looked and fit better.
They did a great job, and I also liked that they were here at nine, took a lunch break, and left by 3:30 to be back to the office by 5 each day. Since I already knew what I was paying, I wasn't worried about them racking up an hourly wage or anything, and to me this showed that the company cares that their workers get to have a life and they're not just rushed through each job, slapping up boards as fast as they can go. The results speak for themselves! I love my new fence! I can't wait for the other projects I've sign them up for.

Preferred Landscape Services has gone above and beyond for my family. We hired them for a small remodel of our front yard landscaping. What we got from them was so much more. They were on top of communication, they always arrived in time, their bid was extremely fair for the quality of work they deliver, and they were so kind. The owner even helped me at 8pm on a FaceTime call to fix an emergency irrigation issue that he did not cause at my house. That is called going above and beyond for the customer. We will be using Preferred from this point moving forward.

They did an amazing job on my yard. I had them remove old grass and install new sod. I also had them remove the large amount of weeds I had. The team was on time and completed the work within the 2 days that I was told it would take. The price was also very affordable.

I hired Preferred Landscape Services to put a retaining wall, stairs and lighting around a pickleball court in our backyard. They did a fantastic job! I would highly recommend them for ANY landscape project you are looking to start.

In 2021 I had my dirt pile of a backyard redone to a beautiful, useful, low maintenance yard by Preferred Landscape Services. I had SynLawn, pavers, plants and rock installed. Dave came out to give me a quote and adjusted to fit my budget. His team that did my backyard was great and It turned out amazing! I finally enjoy the warm summer nights in the backyard.

This week, I took advantage of the SynLawn upkeep package that Preferred is offering and my backyard looks brand new again! It has all kept really well, but getting the lawn blown out and brushed brought it back to life.
