Reviews of local pros in Eugene, Oregon

We have been using LJ Tree Care for several decades now and they never disappoint. Lance and his crew have always been the most professional and the best at what they do. The latest job included our two maples, a slowly dying birch tree and a massive Douglas fir. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. In the past, they have dealt with our sweet gum, scotch pine and our oaks. Just always great work and very reasonable too.

Excellent!! Highly recommend to everyone!!

On time, did job well, friendly, and easy to work with!

They did an amazing job and highly recommend them!

Professional, reasonably priced and excellent customer service. I believe you will be very happy with Sean in every aspect of experience of him

Sean and his team did a great job trimming our huge oak tree, and he’s a really nice person to boot!

On time. Super courteous. Precise and very tidy work. We'll use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to our friends. A+

Best tree service in the area. They did a great job for a very reasonable price. They left my property very clean. I will be using them again.

Sean Hodgson is an excellent tree care specialist. His work is meticulous and fairly priced.

Excellent work, and at a great price! Told them I would help them do the work, but had already finished and was cleaning up by the time I arrived, and I was on time. Would definitely hire for anymore tree work in the future! Thanks guys!

This company did a great job removing some dying trees in our yard and removed many stumps around the yard.
They were very professional and left the yard in better shape than when they started even blowing wood chips out of the lawn.
This company is highly recommended.

Hodgson's took on a large job that other vendors were not able to handle. Sean was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and reliable. The price was very fair for the work. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this company for tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding and debris removal. I’ve used them multiple times for these services over the course of several years. Sean, the owner, will respond to a request for an estimate in a timely manner, and rates are competitive. He’s personable, knowledgeable and thorough, including all the way through to the clean-up phase. He listens carefully to what you want done and does a professional job. You will be happy with his crew’s work.

I initially interviewed Hodgson Tree Service ( many 5 star reviews) to prune several Fir trees at my residence. Sean gave me a competitive estimate, but I could tell by his professional experience and level of interest in my project, that Sean would be a great choice. He and Rick arrived at the designated time an got right to work. During the project I communicated with Sean about my ideas. He has an arborist eye and we shared thoughts about how the yard should look. During the project I made a couple of changes. Sean was receptive and provided additional cost estimates that were fair. When the project was completed, Sean and Rick did a fabulous clean-up. I could not be more satisfied. I will add my 5 stars and recommend Hodgson Tree Service. Thanks guys!

Can’t recommend this company enough! They were so quick to respond and their turn around time was fantastic. Working with Sean was easy and efficient. Will absolutely use Hodgson Tree Service again in the future.

We are about to use Hodgson Tree Service again to take out a dead tree that poses a hazard. We had a tree downed in a storm a couple of years ago that was handled by them as well. We could not believe what an excellent job they did in removing all signs of the tree. They cut it up into firewood rounds for us plus the clean-up of all the messy limbs and other debris was impeccable. It was as if they were never there, aside from the wonderful pile of rounds we later split. That was a nice surprise, especially for the value!

The crew was timely, friendly, and efficient. The cost was extremely reasonable for the amount of work involved. They are now our go-to service for any tree-related issues. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

Hodgson Tree service removed two 30-year-old pin oaks for us this past week, one of them 85 feet tall. It was a huge job on a small city lot: Both trees had limited, very narrow accessibility, and one of them was extremely challenging due to its structure, branch size, and the way it was leaning.

Watching Sean masterly analyze a situation and execute a plan was amazing. Together, he and his helper worked diligently and efficiently, and were always punctual, pleasant, and accommodating. As a team, they were meticulous in protecting the crowded plantings around the trees – no small task! -- and their clean-up was top-notch. We recommend them very, very highly and will definitely use their services again!

I had a very overgrown evergreen tree in my front yard that was in need of a good cut and reshape. Sean was very knowledgeable about the type of tree and what needed to be done to reshape, cut back and still maintain the integrity of the tree. I was able to get an estimate done the same day I called, and scheduled the service within a week of calling. Reasonably priced for the quality of work this company does as well. Will definitely be recommending. 5 out of 5 stars. thanks Sean and your team! Left my yard cleaner than it started as well!

We hired Hodgson's to remove an inconveniently planted cedar tree. This was hands down the best experience I've had with a company. Sean is knowledgeable, yet approachable and was happy to answer all my questions. I got quotes from several local companies - their estimate for our job was competitive and the speed in which the job was completed was astonishing. Highly recommend!

I had Hodgson out to grind a stump. The communication was great via email and text. Of the 4 companies I contacted, they offered the best price. They were efficient and professional on site. I will be hiring them again take care of a tree that needs some care.
