I recently had the pleasure of working with this amazing fireplace repair company, and I couldn't be happier with the results. They offer great work at a fair price and, most importantly, exceptional customer service.
I have two fireplaces: one in my basement den and another on the main floor in the living room, both of which hadn't been used in over 12 years. I decided to start using the living room fireplace again, knowing it needed significant work. The team arrived promptly and completed the job efficiently. After the necessary waiting period for the brickwork to set, I was excited to try it out. The fireplace looked and worked great, but I noticed smoke coming in through the old basement fireplace.
I called the company to explain the issue, and they came the same day to resolve it. Now, I have a lovely fireplace with no smoke coming into the house. I highly recommend this company for their excellent service and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Igor and his team came to our rescue when we had a fireplace/chimney emergency at the coast. They repaired everything, installed a new gas fireplace, worked with the fire department and our property management team. We were back up and running in under two weeks! Northwest Natural came out and red tagged my gas furnace because the gas was not venting out of the home. I called an HVAC person but they said it was beyond their scope. I called Family Chimney Repair and they came out same day to give me a free estimate. Unfortunately, the issue was more than just a simple clog. Other problems and obstacles arose during the inspection and repair but with their expertise and determination they were able to clear the massive buildup, finagle a new liner inside, repair the shoulder and repair the top of the chimney and the flashing which had previously been installed incorrectly.
I am very happy with the service, the kindness and understanding of the company and the fairness of their pricing.

We had a great experience with Family Chimney Repair. The communication and customer service was excellent. We did not expect to have to rebuild our chimney but Igor explained the concerns and risks to our old chimney. The rebuild looks nice and the cost seemed fair.

I called regarding my fireplace damper not working, it looked to me that the linkage was broken, I called to arrange a service call, the next afternoon Igor arrived and inspected damper, after a few minutes he determined that the mechanism was froze up and stuck, he grabbed a hold of the linkage vigorously worked it back and forth and then turned and said ok now what next. I was impressed with his approach no nonsense got right to the issue.
We also wanted roof directional wind caps installed, he went onto the
roof and did an inspection of the chimney, when he came down, he showed us pictures of the chimney condition which showed damaged flashing and cracks in the crown coating, also both chimneys need sweeping and cleaning.
He worked up an estimate and we agreed on the price. two days later he had a crew at the house to start the work, they did a great job of sweeping chimneys, no mess cleaned up afterwards and completed all of the exterior work the same day.
We now have two functioning fireplaces complete with directional wind caps. Totally satisfied.

There was some confusion with the initial estimate regarding which chimney needed work (we have two different stacks), but Igor honored the original quoted price even though the estimate was based on the incorrect chimney.
