HVAC reviews in Gladstone, Oregon

Where to begin...
I had an inspection done by another chimney company. I received 2 estimates and Lifetime was less costly. I wanted to make sure that they were going to do all of the work on the inspection report so I sent emails to make sure that they were going to replace the rusty, existing roof flashing. They did not reply to the emails but instead called me and said that they would replace all of the flashing. I even sent a diagram of proper flashing (roof and counter flashing) and they replied by email "yes this is exactly how we do it". I was given a color choice and requested a specific color brick.
I was never provided with an actual contract, only an invoice. I found out later that a written contract is required in Oregon for work over $2000. On the day of the work I received an email from Lifetime owner Jim pointing out the missing roof flashing (that was pointed out in the original inspection, including photos) and asking what I wanted to do about it. When I told him that I had discussed this with "Bryan" I was told that he no longer worked there and that in any event they did not do roof flashing only counter flashing ( I found out later from 2 different chimney companies that they routinely replace the roof flashing as part of the job) .
I then looked over the emails from Bryan and called Jim back. He was did not answer his cell and it did not take messages. His office said that he went fishing and turned his phone off. Next day I spoke to Jim and said that I wanted to have the roof flashing done before they installed the counter flashing. He said all of the work was completed. I then told him that they used the wrong brick color. He responded that he would split the cost of the roof flashing with me for compensation and that the cost would run between $1200-$1800. He then had his own roofer go out and look at the roof. My tenants got his card and I called him 3 times with no return calls. I was then sent his estimate by Lifetime and it was for $650, and that they had already authorized the work. I told jim that I had tried to call the roofer and he did not call back and that I wanted to speak to him prior to doing the work. At that time Jim told me that he was tired of working with me and told me to find my own roofer. I had to fly up to Portland from California and meet with several chimney/roofing companies to get estimates over 2 days. At that time one of the chimney companies pointed out that Lifetime did not use the original 8" bricks (still locally available) and instead used 7 ⅝", which required an extra cut and resulted in a seam running up the chimney with the seam in an almost straight line, which would cause weakness of the structure.
I called Jim but his office did not answer. I emailed him and told him of the incorrect size of bricks and wanted him to come by and take a look. He refused. I mentioned that the chimney may be defective and could affect the resale value of the house and that I wanted him to it replaced using 8" bricks. He refused and eventually told me that I was "harassing him" and that he would not return emails or calls and that any further discussion would have to be done through mediation (which is invalid because he had no written contract with conditions).
Working with this company was a nightmare. They say one thing then don't honor what they say. More than once Jim told me that since it was not in the job description on his invoice (roof flashing, correct brick size) he did not have to correct their poor workmanship. They also sprayed water down the chimney with the flue open resulting in wet ash going into the living room, which my tenants had to clean up. Lifetime Chimney is unprofessional and entire process of working with them was frustrating and painful.
The photo on the left shows the original chimney with the correct size bricks. Each vertical seam is in the middle of the brick below. The other photo shows the Chimney that Lifetime installed using smaller bricks creating an extra seam that almost lines up vertically.
If I could I would post no stars! -
It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Brian, who set up my appointment for a cleaning, was very friendly and even funny. He walked me through the process and was able to get me on the schedule for the following week. Miguel, the tech, was very polite and professional. He did his work quickly and didn't make a mess. He even lent a hand in putting my space back together again.
One thing though, he doesn't like glizzies as much as Brian thinks.
Don't believe the hype like I did.
All in all possibly the best service experience ever!
Thanks guys! -
Outstanding! Michael was thorough in his inspection and explained everything to me from changes to chimney safety over time (our house was built in 1928) to what we can and need to do today. He gave me suggestions but did not try and sell me anything I didn't need. After the inspection I had him install a stainless steel chimney cap for $275. We had one done at our other house that cost over $500 a few years ago. Lifetime Chimney is my personal go-to from now on and the place I recommend!

Mike Porter was amazing. He pretty much single handedly rebuilt our chimney. Yes he had support on the ground but all the hard work was him. Our new chimney looks beautiful and we are so pleased. Mike was very friendly, easy to work with and stayed on task all day. I would recommend Mike to anyone that needed chimney work done.
Sincerely

We had an excellent experience with Lifetime Chimney.
We have a chimney that we never use that needed to have a cap put on. Another company said they would only rebuild the entire fireplace and chimney. We never intend to use the fireplace and just needed to protect it from weather and creatures getting in. (We couldn't afford a complete rebuild in any case.) Lifetime Chimney saved us! They completed some repairing so they could install a cover/ cap, and they pressure washed the chimney. Miguel did an excellent job and was very kind.
When I first called in, I spoke with Brian who was incredibly helpful! I was worried when I called in, but Brian explained what they needed to do. He patiently gave me clear information. The chimney looks great and it makes the house look great. We're relieved to have it protected now.
I would hire this company again! -
What a great experience I just had with Lifetime Chimney! Mike came to my house on time (even a few mins early, which was great) and was super nice, respectful, and thorough while he was hear. He cleaned out my chimney and firebox and did an inspection of the exterior. When he was done he walked me through what he had found and various options for taking care of the issues that needed to be addressed. No hard sell or pressure tactics, just giving me all the information and letting me know what to consider. He left the place spotless and was professional and friendly the whole way through. 100% top notch!

Would highly recommend Lifetime Chimney! Brian was easy to communicate with and schedule with. We found a significant leak in our attic and Lifetime was able to squeeze us in to completely rebuild our chimney only three days after we called- two weeks earlier than we were originally scheduled. The team was friendly, on time, and respectful- highly recommend!

I am very happy with Lifetime Chimney and the work they did on our chimney project. They were on time, did what needed to be done to remove old wood, reframe, plywood, wrap, put up the stone and cleanup. It was a job well done in a speedy time. The workmanship is great and loved working with them.

Last week, I had an HVAC technician over for a routine check of my heating system. The tech was punctual and explained everything clearly, ensuring my system runs smoothly for the colder months ahead.

After a detailed assessment, the technician carefully dismantled our aging A/C system with impressive precision. The entire process was seamless, taking just under 45 minutes. The crew was courteous, ensuring minimal disruption to our daily routine and leaving the area spotless. Their expertise was evident throughout, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the professionalism displayed. Would highly recommend them for any HVAC needs.

Our neighbor recommended Noah Brothers Heating & Air Conditioning LLC and they exceeded our expectations. It was such a comfort being able to talk to a real person, rather than an automated service, when our AC unit failed in the heat of summer. The customer service from Francis on the phone, and from the on-site technicians like Carson, was remarkable. They made the effort to come out, inspect the problem and discuss various solutions, leaving the final decision to us about replacing our 19-year-old unit. At no point did we feel pressured to buy a new unit and we were fully informed about all costs before the installation process. Mike and the team were punctual, respectful, and completed the unit replacement within three hours. They even made a follow-up call to provide me with more information about the system and future maintenance. I can't recommend this company highly enough.

I've got nothing but good things to say about this heater repair service! After moving into our new house, we started experiencing a lot of sneezing and coughing. We figured the vents might need cleaning and decided to look for a heater repair service. We found one with fantastic reviews and decided to give them a shot, even though we thought they might be swamped with work. Filled out an online service request form, and to my surprise, I received a call from dispatch the next morning informing me that a technician, francis, would arrive by 9:00 AM. True to their word, Francis was at our door at 9:00 AM sharp. He was very professional, polite, and friendly. After explaining the issues we were facing, Francis got to work identifying the problems. Turns out, not only did our ducts need cleaning, but our HVAC unit also needed an upgrade! It was nearly 30 years old and filled with mold. Francis took photos of the problem areas, which I really appreciated because it gave us tangible proof of the issues. He provided two quotes – one for duct cleaning and one for a new HVAC unit – and explained both in detail. Once we approved the quotes, he confirmed the installation and cleaning date. Francis and his team, including mike and carson, arrived promptly on the scheduled day and got straight to work. I could write pages about how they kept us updated throughout the process, but what stood out the most was their professionalism. Our new HVAC unit is installed and working perfectly, and our ducts are spotless. More importantly, we're breathing much easier now. While I can't compare their prices to other services, the excellent service we received today is unbeatable. Francis, Mike, and Carson, you have our heartfelt thanks! Your exceptional customer service made a world of difference to us. A big thank you to the entire crew!

In the past, I had hired a different organization for my heater repair needs, but after receiving two excessively high quotes that clearly indicated they weren't interested in my business, I decided to switch. I was referred to Noah Brothers Heating & Air Conditioning LLC by my neighbors, who are discerning folks. Francis, a young technician from the company, arrived promptly. He introduced himself, confirmed the task at hand, and immediately set to work with efficiency and speed. Upon completion, Francis took the time to explain everything in detail, assuring me that the heating system was functioning optimally and the Freon level was just right. We even shared a brief, pleasant chat. Unlike my previous experience, there was no aggressive push to purchase or add unnecessary services. I was wholly satisfied with the work done. Even though I assured him that shoe covers weren't needed, Francis insisted on wearing them, explaining it was company policy to avoid potential mishaps. Being familiar with the service industry myself, I appreciated his adherence to protocol. I can confidently say that my experience in Gladstone with Francis and Noah Brothers Heating & Air Conditioning LLC was a positive one.

i have to say, noah brothers heating & air conditioning llc is definitely one of the best hvac repair companies i've worked with. when my ac stopped cooling, i first called a big referral service, and the company they sent over checked things out and said the compressor was bad and that i'd need to replace the outdoor unit and coil. not totally convinced, i got a second opinion from them. kaleb came out, looked at my system, and explained that all it needed was a freon recharge. thanks to their honesty, i didn't have to pay thousands for unnecessary repairs. really appreciate the trustworthy and straightforward service!

we recently had noah brothers heating & air conditioning llc install a new furnace and air conditioner in our home, and we are extremely pleased with how everything turned out. **1. expert consultation:** the first meeting with kaleb was very thorough and helpful. he carefully looked at what our home needed, talked with us about saving energy, different ac system choices, and our budget. **2. transparent pricing:** we received a clear and detailed quote, showing all the costs upfront with an easy-to-understand price breakdown. **3. efficient installation:** the installation team arrived on time and worked hard. they were very respectful of our home, making sure there was little disruption and bringing all the necessary supplies to finish the job quickly. **4. quality products:** the new furnace and ac unit are top-quality and run very quietly. we didn’t realize how loud our old system was until now. **5. friendly and professional staff:** everyone we dealt with was polite, knowledgeable, and made us feel like customer satisfaction really matters. overall, we highly recommend this company for their outstanding ac repair and installation service. we appreciate their expertise in keeping our home comfortable.

I reached out for quotes on a new air conditioning unit and furnace. Kaleb came over for a free consultation and was extremely helpful. He took his time, answered all my questions, and followed up with emails and a phone call. Unlike other HVAC contractors I spoke with, he didn't try to push any extra sales and actually suggested I didn’t need a new furnace right now. The prices I received by email seemed very fair to me. Even though I didn’t end up needing the work done, if I ever need HVAC services in the future, this will be the company I call.
