Doug came out after the ice storm and removed a tree that had split and was in a dangerous location. His crew was responsive, polite, quick and just amazing. They finished the clean up after dark. I was so impressed with the meticulous clean up efforts. They even blew the stuff off of the lawn.

These are the arborists you want for your trees. Doug came out the same day, gave a very reasonable quote and chopped down the tree the next day. As the home owner, I already had my tree removal permit in hand and was ready to go. They were extremely affordable and had all the right tools to safely and efficiently remove my tree. Doug even showed me photos of ladder trucks he had that can remove trees 200 feet tall. Having dealt with other arborists over the years, I can say these guys are the most affordable and most professional I have hired. I'm glad to recommend them.

*** If living in the City of Portland you need a hard copy permit on cutting day.*** The city makes it a very confusing process and with the lack of communication makes it even harder. The reason for the three stars is that Doug did not double check this important detail, which he is required to do. I am now in trouble with the City of Portland for this, not a pleasant process and expensive.
Aside from this huge mistake I was pleased with the actual work he and his crew did for me. I was quoted a reasonable price. Communication with Doug was friendly and respectful. I watched the process on cutting day. Doug and his team were skilled and worked swiftly. I was impressed. They cleaned as they went and left my property looking great. I would recommend them for your next tree project just make sure you double checks the permits!

I contacted this arborist, attached photos and never got a response. A simple ‘no thank you’ not interested would’ve been appreciated and appropriate. No response says volumes about how he conducts his business.

Very happy with the work! Carefully removed tree without damaging property or landscaping. I have used two other tree services in the past, but PDX Tree Service is so far the best by far! Highly recommended!

My neighbor was having the trees between our houses trimmed. I could see they were doing a great job on my neighbor’s trees, so I asked if they could include my trees as well. Not only did they accommodate my request but they did a wonderful job. And they blew the pine needles/debris off the roof. Everything was cleaned up beautifully. I can’t even remember the last time I came across this level of professionalism. I felt like I went back in time to when people took pride in what they did. Incredible experience. Everything we talked about during the estimate for the 120’ fir removal was exactly the way it happened on the day. What a concept! The entire crew was a well oiled machine. Super nice guys. Have a tree cut down by PDX Tree Service even if you don’t need to. You won’t be disappointed.

I recently had some tree service completed by PDX tree service and they were very professional. They removed branches from the 140 foot Douglas fir tree that could have been hazardous to my house. They also removed a plum tree and did some stump grinding and it turned out fantastic. I have more work to be done and I plan on using their services again. I highly recommend them!

This company is exceptional! They did a great job. Very impressed with their work ethic. Only criticism would be timing of our job. Jamie did a great job of scheduling of the job but a few hiccups .

PDX Tree Service did a great job with two large trees near our house. They told us exactly what we needed to get approval for in our suburb. They were very professional the entire time and completed exactly what they said they would complete. Working from home, we were able to see a lot of the process and they always looked like they were being very careful not to cause any residual damage.

Josiah and his crew took down a walnut tree and removed hanging branches from a doug fir for us. The crew was friendly, professional and they clearly knew what they were doing. They cleaned up after themselves and left our yard nice and clean. We asked Josiah if he could make the walnut tree stump into a chair, which he did for no extra cost. Speaking of cost, the price was very reasonable. We would definitely use them again!

I have used PDX tree to trim 5 very old cherry trees and remove one that became sick with Blight. Cannot say enough good about these folks. Not only are they very easy to work with, communicate before, during and after the job, meet all expectations on time and cost, they do a wonderful job from start, during, and great clean up. They are also very conscious and place a high importance on safety for the crew and the property they are working on.

We had a tree partially fall due to wind - leaving a 75’ portion on the ground and the remaining 100+’ damaged tree standing. Josiah and the crew that came out were fantastic!
