Very professional, timely and responsive. Good pricing as well, I had a few quotes and they were very reasonably priced. We had a large tree in the front of our house on a busy street close to the powerlines, a fence and both our house and the neighbors in a tight spot and it was perfect. I would definitely recommend them for any other services required.

I was so impressed after I saw the PDX crew in action removing a large Maple tree from my neighbor's yard that I immediately got an estimate for the removal and stump grinding of a large spruce in my front yard. The estimate was very budget friendly so I scheduled the service. Best decision I could have made! This company was very easy to work with. The crew was extremely friendly, professional and they obviously knew what they were doing. I couldn't believe how fast that tree went down and it was a pleasure to watch them work. When grinding down the stump the team took great care to make sure the utility lines in the area went undisturbed. The area was swept clean and ready for planting. Knowing that I wanted to replant another tree in the same area, Josiah even took the time to discuss several possible options. Thank you all so much! You did a fantastic job!

Amazing service from Josiah and his crew! Not only was Josiah responsive and competitively priced, his work was impeccable. He and his crew took down a very large Douglas Fir that was dangerously close to our home. It was an enormous tree, but his crew had the knowledge to safely remove it without damaging property, and they were the only company willing to do it without a crane (which likely would have ruined our driveway at great expense to us). The crew cleaned up entirely every day and took extra care to protect our roof, siding, fence and lawn.

I’ve had other trees removed and trimmed by other companies and their responsiveness, professionalism, safety and cleanliness of the job site didn’t come close to PDX Tree Service. I’ve already personally recommended Josiah to several of my neighbors who were happy with their services as well. If you need tree work done, this is the first and only company I bet you’ll need to call!

PDX Tree Service did a stellar job removing two trees and pruning several others on my property. I highly recommend them. They showed up on time, had all the right equipment for the job, and the entire crew were polite and professional. It was obviously watching them work that these folks really know their business. It was also apparent that they were not looking to get the job done as fast as possible, rather, to do the job the right way, even if it took a little more effort on their part. I especially appreciated how much care they took to ensure their workers' safety and that no property was damaged. One of the trees they removed was leaning over the roof and the crew was exceptionally careful to take it down slowly and a little at a time to ensure the house was not damaged. I made a last-minute decision to change how I wanted some trees pruned, and the work crew was flexible and accommodating and handled the adjustment without any fuss at all. I also appreciate that they are a family owned business that provides great customer service on the billing/scheduling side of things, too. Overall, PDX Tree Service is a great value, because you get top-tier service for a middle-of-the-road price.

Amazing work from this crew! Had to bid farewell to a beloved but sick maple tree in my front yard, and needed very tall firs (century-old) trimmed in the back of and over my house. The crew was wonderful. Josiah, the owner, is one of the nicest and most generous people - he was kind and attentive on either side of the work. And Jamie in the office was super communicative and delightful. Honest, humble, hard-working. Would highly recommend them for any work you have.

Josiah is great, and so is his crew! They were on time and enjoyable to work with. Professional, quick, and flexible! Bid was for removing 2 trees, and once on site I decided to take out another one and he even thinned/ trimmed one up too! My neighbor saw his great work and hired him on the spot to trim one of his. He is a 2nd generation arborist, very knowledgeable about tree health, not just there to cut everything down! I learned a lot and am going to hire him to do some work at my parents and my grandpa's. He has climbers and also has a bucket truck to get tough to reach places. Definitely highly recommend! Thx Josiah!

Hired to take down 85ft+ red cedar which sadly succumbed to heat and pests. Would 100% recommend. Very prompt in coming out to quote. Very reasonable price. Professional and courteous team who took great care in making sure nothing was damaged in the process and cleaning up the area.

We had a great experience with PDX tree service. Not only did they help work within our budget, they gave us info on how to maintain our trees going forward. We had a pretty big project and they got it down in an extremely timely manner. Very communicative and professional. Our yard looks so different but in a good way. We are so happy to have our tree needs done and glad to have had a crew that was trustworthy and cared about their job to perform this service for us. PDX tree service worked on 2 very large fir trees. Jordan and crew cleaned out dead wood and trimmed back from neighbor's house. They were efficient, friendly, and did a great job of clean up.

Awesome job removing a dying tree, grinding the stump and trimming my magnolias! Kind and caring team and hauled away all debris. I would definitely hire again.

Josiah and his team are amazing. We've had them come out a couple of times now. Before their first job we had gotten bids from a few local services and PDX Trees had the best price. They are very professional, and respectful and will speak to neighbors to let them know they are there doing work before they start. They do a great job all around. They rope down pieces to minimize damage, they have a crane to assist as well as a stump grinder. They are able to haul off the tree if you don't want to keep it. They do a great job of cleaning up before they leave. Not to mention we feel they communicate well what they need from you, and what theirnplans are. We have been very pleased with this company and highly recommend them.

Had the Pdx tree service crew out to do a major prune job on a large Blue Atlas in our backyard this is the second time we've used them and would highly recommend them . The guys were professional friendly and good at their job

Got a few opinions and quotes on a beautiful large tree between my house and the neighbor. I thought PDX was the most thoughtful in how to approach the tree with regard to branches touching both houses and training the tree through selective prune small and large branches . The estimate was sent out promptly and a date was set . The awesome crew arrived on time . We discussed the plan and all ended well . The tree has been preserved and continues to provide beauty and shade for our house . Would definitely recommend this company again .

We had two trees in our backyard that needed to be removed. To say the least they were in very difficult spots for removal. Right next to a fence and on slope leading into our small backyard. With great skill using a boom lift to lift the sections of the tree over the fence to be cut up. They then used the boom lift to hoist the stump grinder into place to grind the stumps. They cleaned up afterwards. Well done !

We had the sad experience of having to take down one of our favorite trees, an 80 foot Western Red Cedar that had died.

PDX Tree Service was the company we selected from 3 bidders to do the job. The selection wasn't based only on price, but rather the expertise and concern that Josiah showed when he looked at the tree, and it's partners in our grove.

He proposed a solid plan for taking down the tree, as well as cabling one of the others that has a co-dominant trunk, to provide it with future stability.

The crew that showed up on time and ready to go, was very respectful of our landscaping, gravel driveway, and the surrounding trees. They did a very efficient job of removing the dead tree safely, moving the logs where we wanted them, grinding the stump, and cleaning up the jobsite. We would absolutely work with them again, and highly recommend them to others.

We’ve worked PDX Tree Service a few times and would highly recommend them. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and able to handle a wide variety of services including: pruning, tree cabling, sawing up fallen trees, and this time we asked them to also cut “cookies” from some large trunks that we will use for pathways. They also chipped everything they cut down so we can use it for mulch. Super professional and a pleasure to work with.
