Haven’t used their services and definitely won’t if I ever needed too ; I’ll look elsewhere. This morning wasn’t the first time I’ve encountered an aggressive driver on the road from their company. Flying 65+ down the highway and when it came time to merge near Walmart (heading north), they choose to play chicken with me when I had the right away - with zero cars behind either of us, they continue to speed up, no blinker, forcing me to slow down and get behind them when they should have merged behind me. Disgusting behavior and not a good look for the company. Also, saw someone from their company rear ended someone the other day near Arctic Circle…. Seriously!?

This entire company is professional. I live in a gated community where everything has to be approved by the design and landscape committees. Luis the foreman is knowledgeable about plants and their care. His staff is professional and always courteous. I’ve had trees cut down by this company and they haul them away and grind all the branches. Because of Ground Fx I have a beautiful well kept landscaped large yard. I don’t have to think about any of this. I recommend this company before any others

I just wanted to share our thoughts regarding a recent "work of art" your company completed for us out in Salishan...

Loved working with this company! Scheduling was a breeze, coordinated with other construction projects to synchronize work schedules, kept us updated with any changes, employees showed up on time & finished the project on time. Pricing was fair for the work completed! I can't begin to thank you for everything! It turned out more amazing than we ever could have imagined! GroundFX is more than lucky to have Corey who lead this job from start to finish on their team! Corey WILL be the reason we come back to do business with you in the future...because you are honest, you keep the customer in the loop, you go the extra mile for the customer & your knowledge of the business itself is phenomenal! You took our "sand box of a yard" full of nothing but weeds, blackberry vines and yuck and turned it in to a work of art! We love that you listened to what we envisioned & turned it in to reality! We will be recommending your company to others in need of a landscaping overhaul! Excellent team. We recently used the tree service at our business and home. Super professional and great service. Great communication when getting the service scheduled and they were on time for all appointments. Excellent clean up and attention to details. I would totally recommend this business. The coastal area can be tricky/spotty for good customer service and communication. This company is a refreshing departure; great service and very professional. Thank you!!

We used this business to build a fence as ours was rotting. This could be considered part of the landscaping component of their business. Their crew was professional, timely and they did a beautiful job with creating two gates that are not just functional but nice to look at! They stuck to the price of the estimate and really went the extra mile for us to tidy up afterwards. While the fence was built in 2020, I wanted to really extend my appreciation for how this fence has improved the appearance of our yard and property.

Our house needed some serious work having a pretty much natural landscape. We needed to get it ready to list for sale so we called in the experts. They pruned trees that were touching the roof, cleaned up and planted the back "yard" , and did a major cleanup of the front. The workers were great and they did a wonderful job while attending to the details like grass growing between our curb and the street. We will definitely call on them again.

A Very Professional Operation
I wanted 18 mature alders and several large spruce limbs removed. The estimator (Cory--nice guy) showed up on time and the proposal was reasonable. The work was scheduled (thank you Blair) and three weeks or so later the real work began .....on the scheduled day ! A team of three (John, Darren and Mac ..as I recall) made quick work of it. Clean and tidy.
My wife and I are totally impressed. We'll be scheduling more work in the future.

Would NEVER recommend or use again. NOT the least bit professional tree trimming/fruit trimming job, it appears they either do not know how to trim fruit trees properly or they just quit after barely starting to work on every single tree! They simply did not complete the job and barely started. Very poorly trimmed 2/3 of the trees, leaving them totally lopsided and full of suckers. The other 1/3 they never even touched. They would topp one half of the tree and walk away leaving the rest of the tree completely in tact and now lopsided. They did NOT thin out ANY of the trees by removing tree or ground suckers, of thinning and opening up the tree for air flow, something any person with basic knowledge of fruit tree pruning knows how to do. They never even trimmed enough off one tree to remove the support 2x4 we had holding the overgrown branch up so it did not break off, that is how little they trimmed them! They left piles of branches all over the property, dumped wood-chips where they were told NOT to dump them. They gave an estimate of "approximately $25 a tree" which would have been $225 but charged nearly $1700. We paid, because the trees were in desperate need of trimming and we thought they were coming back but later found out they were not. They REFUSED a refund but FINALLY agreed to come inspect the job. They admitted that they did a TERRIBLE job, barely even "topping" the trees (which would have been a $225 charge) they agreed to come back and complete the job but Winter was over by then and the trees were already budding out so the job can not be completed until November 2017. I do not trust that they will come back, besides the fact that they severely overcharged and did NOT clean up their mess! WORST TREE SERVICE EVER! I would have been unhappy paying the $1700 if they had done a good job but I would have let it go and never used them again. THIS tree trimming is NOT even worth the $25 a tree that they originally estimated because they did not even touch every tree and only topped HALF of most of the trees. Honestly the worst tree trimmers ever! Overcharging the elderly makes this company despicable, to say the least. They have agreed to return in 8 months and do the job correctly but we no longer trust them. They REFUSE to issue even a partial refund! Absolutely not acceptable! BEWARE: This company has changed their name several times and could change it again to stay ahead of the complaints. We would NEVER recommend using: Ground FX Landscape Management, LLC and Coast Tree Service.

UPDATE:
Took a full year and many public complaints before they returned all the money. They still have NOT cleaned up the mess and damages they made with their bark chips. I am convinced that the only reason they returned the money was because we made so many public posts, with photos of the terrible job they did. It certainly wasn’t worth the frustration or the mess they left!

Ground FX Landscape has just completed repairing major (for us) damage created by a landslide behind our business, The Coffee House on the Newport Bayfront. They worked at fitting us in their busy work schedule before the rainy season starts once again which could have made the slide much worse & threatened our building. Over the space of around a week they removed an old tree stump, loaded & trucked away many loads of dirt & blackberry bushes that had slid down the hill, constructed & installed an impressive fence to hold back (hopefully) any further slides, & spread jute netting & hydro seeding over any exposed dirt areas, finally cleaning up & spreading gravel over their work area beside the building. We are happy & satisfied with the professional way the crew worked, often in the rain, to complete the job. Cory, our main contact with the company, always returned calls & texts promptly, keeping us up to date with progress in a very professional & cheery manner. This is a company that we definitely recommend to anyone who has a similar landslide problem.

We hired FX to seed nearly five acres, which also involved removing the wood mulch covering the entire property as a residue from the clearing process. They not only did that, but also removed a large derelict storage shed without leaving a trace, and re contoured the driveway giving it a much smoother slope. In addition, following severe rainstorm, a few days after they had seeded, they returned to the property and found some seed had been washed down a slope, and the reseeded those areas. We are delighted with the job, and FX;s care and professionalism.

We have a large condo property that has been hard to maintain over the years. We hired Ground Fx over a year ago based on reviews. We gave them a list of what we wanted and they gave us a monthly fee and schedule. At first, it seemed like the progress was a bit slow, but they said there was a lot to do (in the scheduled time) to get it in shape, but soon it would look great. And, they were right! They have done a wonderful job and we are very happy with their service. They are very responsive to questions, and requests. They like email with pictures so they can pass on the info to the crew so they understand exactly what we want. The crew is also happy to talk to us about special requests when they are here. They are not the cheapest, but our experience with landscaping services is you get what you pay for.

WOW what a great job.... the folks at groundfx hit a home run. the office staff was a pleasure to work with and the field crew did a superb professional job. highly recommended

If you’re searching for great landscaping on the coast, you found it! I needed a complete cleanup after that last big storm and it kept over growing and getting worse. They’re a busy crew, for good reason, and they fit me in for a bid and got me on the schedule sooner than I expected. Their services aren’t cheap but neither is the outcome and I couldn’t be happier.

The crew that came out was very thorough the whole way through from initially confirming they knew exactly what I wanted to checking in along the way before they took out a rhododendron and offered to replant it to replace one that had died. Truly above and beyond. I peeked while they worked and was a little nervous about the mess but when they drove away my yard was immaculate.

Did I mention I’m an extremely happy, satisfied customer? I’ll be back and I’m telling anyone who will sit still long enough about them.

Our condo has been using the landscaping part of the company for over 2 years and are very happy with the service. After trying out other companies, we were pleasantly surprised with professional, quality work from Ground FX. They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. We recently had an emergency tree removal and were able to get that taken care of quickly and at a reasonable price considering the quick response. Once again, professional, quality work. Also, it’s a pleasure dealing with Blair at the office who handles scheduling, billing special requests, etc. Highly recommend!

Ground FX Landscape made my yard perfect....now there's nothing left to do.

Live in Lincoln City and had four landscape objectives.

1. Eliminate soil erosion. Install some sort of rock based soil retention.
2. Tall tree tall evaluation by Arborist.
3. Bark install.
4. Three rock yard monument.

Since I had recently watched Ground FX quickly, and efficiently clear two hugely overgrown lots just north of my home I contacted them for a bid. Today they finished the final large stone monument install and I could not be more pleased in the result.

Since a picture is worth more than a 1000 words, I have attached two pix of the yard monument and a video clip of their rip-rap (small rock install similar to what you see driving the freeway used by highway departments to prevent soil erosion on hills adjacent to freeways US wide) as well as brief view of bark install.

Indebted to Corey who created the bid I found to be quite reasonable given the scope of work, and well worth the investment. Also add a deep appreciation for his creativity in the choice of stone for the yard monument.

It has been a pleasure working with Corey, Luis, and all the guys throughout the process. It was a big job - tearing out overgrown trees and shrubs, addressing drainage issues, and reconstructing failed stonework. Ground FX has a 'can do' attitude. They have transformed our landscape into a unique and stunning space! Plants will be coming in the spring - all coastal natives. Stay tuned!

We had a very ugly brick pond smack up against the side of our house. It felt claustrophobic and looked hideous. We punched a hole in the pond wall so it wasn’t a drowning hazard but were left with the eyesore in the first photo. Ugh! Enter Ground FX! Corey helped develop a plan for a functional space and sent an amazing crew to make it happen. Juan Carlos and Angel were here for all 5 days. There were a few hiccups, but in the end we have the beautiful space for outdoor entertaining pictured in the second photo. We are pleased so far beyond our expectations. The quality of workmanship is even more evident in person. We would not hesitate to recommend Ground FX to friends or use them for other landscaping in the future.

Shout out to Blair, Corey, John and all the crew at Ground FX for a wonderful group of professional team players. A delight to work with caring, knowledgeable and so helpful group of young men. They all respect each other just as they respect their clients and are so courteous, and funny, hated to see them leave. I told the crew that their parents would be so proud of them. My kitties, Mason and Thomson loved watching them work.

Corey and his crew did a fantastic job of using our ideas and their experience to turn the front of our beach house from nothing to a beautiful, easy to care area that will continue to be more beautiful as it grows in! We can’t say enough about Corey and his professionalism down to the last detail. He is a hands on businessman whom we highly recommend!

I did 4 out of 5 because they charged me for what I thought was a courtesy follow up. They agreed & offered to only charge half which showed me they are flexible. I utilized them for a large scale bamboo install of close to 75 3 gal. plants of multiple strains (black & giant grey timber). Pictures are after plants list some leaves after initial transplant stress but will be back in the spring with new shoots.
I have found their staff to be professional & attentive as well as cleaned up their mess. I was concerned that their pricing was higher than other bids initially but they do quality work as you get what you pay for commonly. If you want professionals that will follow through to your satisfaction on jobs that are organized & communicate well that have commercial relationships with nurseries then I'd definitely include them for consideration. They are a gem on the Oregon coast as "professionals" can be hard to find & i just hired Ground FX again to install 20 pines. Corey is an excellent project manager.

We had an artificial turf project done and I have almost all positive to say about the whole experience with Ground FX.

Positive: (From all involved: Blair, Corey, Luis and the crew)
1. Talked, looked, acted and worked professionally
2. All were courteous in their interactions with me.
3. Completed the work within the time frame promised.
4. During the work process I had questions and Luis responded in a very timely manner.
5. The quality of work was excellent.
6. Project turned out better than I had hoped it would.

Negative:
1. They left our side yard ( their staging area) in a rough condition. This area was just gravel to begin with but when they left it was torn up by the tracks of their equipment. Could have smoothed it out a little.

But still overall I give them 5 stars. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Update: As promised in their response, crew was out yesterday and dressed up our side yard. Great customer service. Thx
