My front yard and driveway areas were transformed! I needed a plan to protect more from the busy road and to rework an old single drive to a double and parking area. I’m so happy with how it turned out.
The work was also completed very quickly from plan to finish in less than a month. Harley did a great job on the design (full yard front and back but we only did a portion of the work to start) and was very communicative. The team who did the work was professional and thorough.

When I first met with Harley I had few ideas about what to do with my space, I simply told him that it “looked like a desert and I wanted an oasis.” He was able to visualize the potential and presented me with a complete, detailed and concise plan with a clearly itemized estimate and timeline. We have 1974 era home on about an acre that is hilly and had erosion issues. It had been worked on by a ton of different people over the years before we bought it and gosh knows who did what to whom. We had some general desires - remove the massive grass areas, create native / pollinator friendly plant areas, deal with the erosion issues and create a spa area where we could put in a spa we just purchased.

Meeting with Harley was not only fun, it was enlightening. He asked what we do with our back deck (answer, we used it as a walk way and nothing else) and suggested a rear deck patio pergola about half way thru. This is something we'd wanted forever but our eaves come down so low that a std pergola install wouldn't work. He had a concept that used metal brackets (attractive metal brackets) that sat on the rear wall of the house mounted thru the roof and allowed the pergola to drop at a natural height over the deck. We didn't think that was possible. NOW we want to sit out on the back deck... we have cover from the weather. It's wonderful. Harley also had some immediate answers to how the erosion issues could be handled and some very creative ideas. You could see him building a picture in his head as he walked around and talked.

The plan that he put together for us was perfect. We went thru a couple iterations adjusting details but it was 90% there out of the box so to speak. We absolutely love our new yard and now we use 100% of it.

Harley sources quality plants, worked with us on screening materials (privacy screens) and the folks that built the rear deck pergola and spa enclosure? fantastic workmanship. They also put in paver patios for us and I've never seen anyone put those in as perfectly or quickly. They had the entire basement patio done in a day. Rock walls, gravel paths, timber steps... gorgeous and done properly without me asking. The gravel paths have underlayment, locking gravel and then a top layer of gravel that's aesthetically pleasing. The timber steps are beautiful. He made sure we had the spaces we wanted for our dogs to play. He ensured that the landscape design worked with the architecture of the house... and mixed structured design with more organic shapes in a way that was so creative and gave us that natural feel we were looking for.

Valhalla did the planting, building, new watering system, landscape lights, paths / timber steps, parking for our travel trailer and two fountains for us. A very very large project and they were here every day (almost 7am to 7pm) working hard to finish it. Harley was here every day making sure that everything was exactly right. When they went home, our property was absolutely neat. Everything swept, stacked, organized.

The little things... where smaller river rock might have slid down the hill over time I found that Harley had installed larger rocks to hold it back. Where bark might have slid down and covered a utility area I found Harley had rimmed the area with rock so that didn't happen. Not many folks have that level of attention to detail and we saw it everywhere. He even filled the pots I'd purchased and left empty by the front door beautifully with succulents that require minimal care.

I have joked that they even installed an 'automated dog scent-er' because we have a lot of rosemary. Our pup goes out and plays, comes back in smelling of rosemary. It's very nice.

We've built two homes and remodeled a third now... we have a lot of experience with contractors good and bad. Harley and Valhalla Exteriors are excellent. They can handle anything you need and they'll do the job right. Harley did the landscape / planting plans, general design for the structures (hired an engineer to do those plans) and he has builders/planters/electricians/plumbers etc. and years of experience to draw from in helping you create what you've been dreaming of. Valhalla did such a great job on our driveway. Harley was very upfront about costs and scope and everything. He and his team got the job done super fast but with outstanding quality. We will for sure be working with them again. Thanks again!!!

I tried to call and I was excited too but the second I called she asked if I was trying to sell something😭 I’m 17 and I work at a burger place but I just made this to say that they were rude for no reason and I’m going to someone else to get seeding done!
