Matt and his team showed up on time & did an absolutely wonderful job of transforming an unusable space on our back patio into a lovely sitting area with pet turf for grandog visits. They were professional, friendly & did a fantastic job. I would definitely use them again & highly recommend this company.

We had an excellent experience with Matt and his team. We contacted them to help us install a 30 foot winding flagstone pathway from the back of the house to our back and front gates. They installed the flagstone in just the style we wanted, with a natural but professional look and it looks wonderful. It has been a few months now since they installed it, and every time I walk on my new path way it beings me joy.

Matt was easy to talk to over the phone about details and gave us a great price, and Kate his assistant was very professional with scheduling. Also, not only did Matt did a great job in laying the flagstone, he also knew what looked right and what didn’t. Juan, Matt’s helper, was so nice to talk to and he explained to me the process of laying the path as well. Matt and Juan were fun guys to talk to, especially in Spanish! We’ve been slowly but surely improving our front yard, and it has been difficult finding help for projects we didn’t want to tackle ourselves. Sage Landscape was incredibly responsive and efficient in scheduling our project, and their workmanship in installing our paver path was truly excellent. They not only met our expectations but exceeded them by addressing and fixing issues with another path that had previously been installed by a different landscaper. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction made our experience with them truly outstanding.

My wife and I recently hired Sage Landscapes to level our backyard, build two retaining walls, extend our patio, add a grill area, install a sprinkler system, and lay sod. From the start, Matt was incredibly responsive—he quickly scheduled a site walk to learn more about our vision. He offered helpful suggestions to enhance our ideas while always respecting what we wanted. Not once did he try to upsell us.
They provided a fair and honest quote, and the entire project was completed well ahead of the two-week timeline they originally estimated. The quality of work and professionalism throughout the process were outstanding.

Sage Landscape LLC turned our weedy backyard into a beautiful garden just waiting for us to add our plants. They did the hardscape, installed the sprinkler system, built the fence with arbor, created the flowerbeds, installed the sod and built the flagstone patio, walkway and wall. Matt and Kate were SUPER responsive before I put down a deposit. Surprise surprise that was all just an act. Our project was quoted to be 3-4 weeks for completion and ended up taking more than 4 months. I was constantly sending follow ups only for me to hear NOTHING. And then when I finally chased someone down it was just excuse after excuse after excuse. No accountability.

I even called for a meeting to address this lack of communication, and they left saying that they would provide more transparency.

What a joke, nothing improved.

On top of that, they tried to have me pay more for more plants and more rocks than originally budgeted and agreed upon because of erosion. Isn't that what they should have been able to plan for? Why did I pay for initial design plans only for you to surprise me with these issues later.

Cut lots of corners as well, I will update with photos.

The guys on site left trash every where, would loudly play music even when I asked them multiple times to move the radio noise away from our children's nursery, would constantly park on the driveway even when we had additional parking.

It seems like the company is poorly run and has cashflow issues. I wouldn't be surprised if they left someone high and dry.

I gave them multiple chance to make it right, but I can't in good conscience recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely the best landscape, construction company in the Portland metro area! We had our driveway done in cobblestone pavers. Wow, it's beautiful! The crew also did the front and back yard, the side yard, and our back property. Steps put in on both sides of the house to access the back of the property. The crew made our unusable property usable! I didn't think we could ever obtain it! The outdoor fireplace is a work of art, all natural stone, to match the stone patio and steps leading down to the fireplace. Matt, the owner, and Kate, the designer, listened, and they heard us on the vision we wanted. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Matt and his crew were amazing, fast, efficient, and respectful. Kate picked out the best plants and designed our vision of our yard. We asked for more native plants and different variations of colors throughout the seasons. They nailed it perfectly. All I can say is this company is 100% calling. Their work is impeccable! I can't wait to work with them again! Thank you, Matt, Kate, and crew.

Sage came by as part of a Community Outreach and Give Back Program. The employees were polite, professional, and incredibly kind. Our yard had become overgrown and unsightly due to my disability and my husband’s terminal illness. Within just a few hours, our front yard was completely transformed, and we are sure our neighbors are thrilled.

You have no idea how much your time, hard work, and compassion have meant to us during this stage of our lives. “Thank you” feels inadequate, but please know how deeply we appreciate you.

I’m truly happy with the work done by Sage Landscapes, Matt Bowman and his crew. From the initial phone call to set up an on site estimate, to the final walk through of the completed project, it was all a seamless, pleasant experience. They removed my backyard lawn and installed synthetic pet turf, removed overgrown ferns and installed a shade garden, reworked the dry creek rockery, removed the parking strip grass installing river rock and plants, retrofitted the drip system and applied mulch in all the planting beds. They were always on time, respectful of my property and did a thorough clean up once completed. Matt was easy to communicate with and always responsive. I would highly recommend Sage Landscapes!

They designed a beautiful patio and garden for us, and completed the job quickly and mindfully. Their employees are detail oriented and knowledgeable.
