Needed outlets replaced and switches changed out. Murphy Family Services was on time and very professional. Pleased with their work and will call again.

I have worked with these guys twice now and will be going to them whenever I need electrical work done in the future. Tell them what you want to have done, and they show up and do it for a fixed price + cost of materials. Simple as that.

Called to make and appointment, their voice-mail said to text. I texted them and they told me to make an appointment on their website. I made the appointment on the website. He updated my appointment for same day since it was emergency service. I called back and texted several times to ensure his technician would make it over a 4 hour period. After the appointment time he messaged me to tell me the technician was out of town. And that he made known to me that they might not make it. He did not make it known, he said he would reach out to the technician to confirm and gave me an appointment time. He didn't get back to me until after the confirmed appointment time, then asked if I wanted to reschedule for Monday....no thanks, I don't need them not showing up for that appointment too.

James came and saved the day!! Had just purchased a new stove because the Maytag guy told me I had blown the mother board on my stove and needed a new stove (2 days before big Turkey day)well James figured out it was a faulty wire and fixed it (: boom old stove working-cancelling my new one.

We submitted a request to have three ceiling fans installed in our home. The very next day Erik came out to install them and did a great job. We will be using MurphyFamilyElectric for future electrical projects.

Neko is knowledgeable, ethical, professional and did a great job explaining the problem.

A few nights ago our lights started flickering and then everything shut off. Breakers did not trip. As we got some stuff on lights were still dimming. Weird stuff like a horror movie. Still no power in most of the condo.

Scheduling was very easy and recieved text messages from Neko as he was on his way. He removed the circuit breaker panel and found a screw was a bit lose on the overflow wire(My words). Tightening the screw fixed the problem. We wanted to replace the breaker box but he said we didn't need to(honest and ethical). He said everything is up to code and Home Depot sells the same breakers today.

I was a bit apprehensive about the $198 service call fee but am very happy I called.

Will use again.

First, Sean is a very impressive hands on owner of Murphy Family Services. I received an appiintnwnr that woyld fit in my schedule. Sean followed up with text reminders and he was professional over the phone.
Second, Scott arrived on time and took the time to troubleshoot the electrical issue so we would not waste time. He found that the electrical outlet housing the microwave was not giving enough amps, and as a result could have been a fire hazard. Scott fixed the problem by upgrading the electrical outlet supporting the microwave.
Everything was courses, professional and fast. I would consider Murphy as my "house" electrician.

We used Murphy Family Electric to look at some wires that were sparking near our roof. They came out the same day and were very helpful. The online appointment system is easy and convenient.

We've used Murphy's for a few of our real estate clients, and they have been great to work with. Always punctual, and the work has always been done correctly and neatly. I would highly recommend them!

I needed help with some electrical work for my new furnace. Tried to book online, but its a big ask for customers to know how to scope electrical work. If you dont fit the preselected tiers of work on the website, how am I supposed to book electrical work? Do I chose a half day? Full day?

I ended up choosing a similar type of work and added notes to my appt. This way the electrician could see what work I needed.

About an hour before my appointment, I received a text telling me my appt. was canceled. And I was being directed by text to do things correctly "you needed to have booked with x", "this should be a full day", "you need to reschedule before they fill up"

So just a heads up, if you have basic electrical needs this web booking model makes sense. But if you need more complex work then the inability to talk to someone on phone, plus the limited website options and weak/sub par re-scheduling customer service is tough.

They were great last time and I like the convenience of booking online but this experience has left me very disappointed.
